This property was even nicer than we thought it was going to be. Three bedrooms upstairs, each with its own full bathroom. The beds were very comfortable. Downstairs, there was enough room for the 7 of us to watch the World Cup. A nicely equipped kitchen, with a large refrigerator. There is a half bath Downstairs. The location was great for us, with about a 5 minute walk to the beach access, most of it shaded by native oak trees, which was very nice in the middle of July. There is a patio area on the backside of the unit that looks out on the Par 3 golf course. You can see the pool from the patio area. This was also a great place to walk our dog, even in the middle of the day. There is a nice Weber gas grill on the patio. One afternoon I was grilling fish on the grill, and looked down to see a small gopher tortoise looking back at me. He was eating the grass beside the patio. For several days, there were 2 hawks in the tree just outside front door. Of course, the beach at Amelia Island is very nice, very wide at low tide. And the much of the property on the Amelia Island Plantation has been left the natural vegetation. We try to recycle, we only realized on our last day there that there are recycle bins outside the Harris Teeter, which is about 10 minutes away, and it is a very nice grocery store. We would definitely stay here again.
