Bali Kai 243 has been remodeled and has a boho, island-style theme. Enjoy this one-bedroom, one-bathroom unit across from the famous Banyan Surf spot. The amenities include a pool, beachside BBQ and more at this complex. Turn your moments into memories!
Upon entry, you have an open layout of the living area, kitchen, and lanai. The living room has a queen-sized pull-out sofa and a flat-screen smart television for convenience. Enjoy the island-style themed Hala hat wall and fun pops of color.
The kitchen is open to the living room to allow conversation with the chef and guests at the bar top. Enjoy a fully stocked kitchen with all the gadgets any at-home chef desires.
The bedroom has a queen bed and a fun Hawaii-style theme with a boho touch. The bathroom with a shower is located in the hallway for guests' convenience.
Relax on the small lanai and enjoy a cup of Kona Coffee while watching Hawaii wake up. Enjoy being across the street from the beach and iconic Banyans Surf Spot. The complex has a pool, BBQ on the beach and more.
Please note: - There is a wall unit AC in the living room and a portable AC in the bedroom - There are stairs to access this unit and no elevator. - Pool, hot tub and BBQ area is located across the street.

This is a very functional condo with a very well stocked kitchen and a washer and dryer in the unit. We loved how close it was to the beach.

Host did not leave a key, as required by the property management. The AC units did not cool the condo and were extremely loud. Some stupid haole money grabbing church clogged up traffic on Sundays.

Decent place
We had a lovely stay and enjoyed the location. Unfortunately, the pool was out of order a couple of times and appeared to have some cleanliness issues. The staff was super helpful. On our last full day, the unit was sprayed for pests thankfully as we had some issues with ants and roaches. We cleaned daily to keep them at bay. Additionally, not all the outlets worked but we were able to make do.

Almost great
This apartment is in a good location along Ali’i with a quick walk across the street to the water. There’s a Poke Cafe across the street, and a market next door. The apartment is well appointed with all the necessities, solid kitchen equipment, beach towels, chairs, etc. The lanai is nice with a little bar for drinking your morning coffee. However, there are some things that need to be resolved for us to ever stay there again.

Condo was as shown on line - updated and very clean. Neighbors were respectful and quiet. Only issue to be aware of is noise from the road and from the lack of sound proofing in the ceiling. Condo is on the 2nd of 3 floors and footsteps on the floor above can be quire loud depending on who is staying there. Also, this is a stretch of Ali'i Drive that is heavily trafficked.

For me, it was a business trip, I spend all day out and about visiting clients so by the time I get back in the evening, it is about chilling, resting and a bit of fun when time allows. The unit location is perfect, quiet, across from the beach and the famous poke shack. The unit was well stock with essentials, clean and comfortable furniture. I would just recommend to upgrade the mattress which is a little tire.

the apartment is tiny, suitable for one or two people for one or only two nights because there is no space for personal items such as T-shirts, panties, shorts, etc. there is only a small wardrobe with a few hangers, a collapsing bed in the small bedroom because the mattress is broken, a very uncomfortable small sofa in the room. living room AC broken and very noisy overall very poor holiday apartment for a couple for almost two weeks

Loved the apartment I would easily give this place 4.5 to 5 stars but I can’t. The bed was the most uncomfortable bed I’ve ever slept on. You could visibly see the hole in the middle of the bed. It was like sleeping on a slope. I would wake up every morning with crazy back pain. My wife says it feels like sleeping in a taco. I will happily change my review if a new bed is purchased. The apartment deserves a better rating but I can’t in good conscious do that to another renter. They need to know what sleep **** they are signing up for.

I will not be staying with Caldwell Banker again!
When I walked into this unit, it was lovely. The place was clean and had no bugs. The next day a family with a small child moved in above me. I could hear the child running back and forth in their unit, moving the furniture around and hollering. I contacted CB regarding this situation and was told to let the property manager know. Over the course of my entire stay (9 days), I was in contact with CB and the property manager regarding this family. The child would wake me every morning around 5am by their excessively loud noises (running, dragging furniture around, hollering, slamming doors)! I wouldn’t be able to fall asleep until after that child did; which was usually after 11pm.The final decision that CB gave me was that I could move into another unit on my second to last day. I would have to pay for any difference in the cost though. Other issues: *dirty dishes*no grill utensils *no propane *verticle blinds brokenI love visiting the Big Island and really wanted to leave a good review; but, with their lack of interest in Kona Bali Kai Condominium rules and concern for my well being, I feel I could not. The condo rules were Quite Hours 10pm-8am on weekdays and 11pm-8am on weekends.

We had the best time here. Everything we needed and more. They provided snacks in the fridge- have never seen that at an Airbnb. It was so thoughtful after an exhausting day of travel. The pantry also has a lot of spices. Provided us more than enough laundry detergents/ dishwasher pods. It was small things like this that really helped us out. Talking with host was so easy and helpful. I booked something in error and they were more than helpful to refund me. Quick response to questions. Brought our infant and she loved it too- I could tell she missed it when we went on to another location later in our trip. Would love to come back and book again. The only thing is the complex is a little confusing when arriving. But that was the only thing I can think of. If you’re lost go to the main lobby and someone can give you a map and show you where to go. We aren’t clever enough to figure it out ourselves :) I miss this spot already!

Everything was very clean and new in the condo. There is no view of the water though which was fine because we were gone most days. The only thing I would mention is the the mattress in the bedroom is terrible. You roll to the middle because of a hole and it’s was awful for our backs. Other than that everything else was great.
