The Shell- Relax & Unwind!

Welcome to The Shell, located in Arch Cape! Step inside your home away from home and get ready to relax! There's plenty of space to spread out in the open living room with a gas fireplace at one end of the room, a flat screen TV at the other end, and lots of comfy furniture in between!

You'll want to check out the fully stocked and functional kitchen, complete with everything you need to make your stay a memorable one. You'll have plenty of sunlight streaming through the patio door from the backyard while whipping up a meal the whole family can enjoy. It's easy to go from cooking to eating since the kitchen is large enough for the dining table and chairs.
There are two colorful bedrooms to choose from. The first is the “Tree” Bedroom with green and yellow accents. The bedding and the art perfectly compliment the unique headboard on the full bed. Next door is the “Rose” bedroom with a queen bed and accents of pink and cream from the art work to the bed lamps. If you were looking for bland ordinary bedrooms, these aren't it!
Tucked in a cupboard between the two bedrooms are a stackable washer and dryer so you won't have to overpack for your trip to The Shell. The bathroom is close as well so everything is right at hand and convenient.
Step out onto the patio from kitchen and you'll find the backyard awaits. Plenty of grass to play on and a perfect spot to lay out at night and star gaze, you'll definitely want to spend some time outdoors while visiting The Shell, especially during those warm summer days!
If you time your trip to The Shell just right the huckleberries may be in season. Please check out the huckleberry bushes in the yard and if they are ripe, go ahead and pick them. Enjoy!
The beach access from The Shell is a short stroll away. Walk south down Pacific for a block and a half to Shark Tale Lane. Turn right and walk straight ahead past the Beach Sign and there you are on the ocean shore !
The Shell is the perfect place to stay. It's bright and cheerful, close to Cannon Beach and Manzanita yet just enough off the beaten path to relax, unwind, and enjoy the ocean breezes. Come stay with us at The Shell
You are welcome to bring your dog buddy with you! Please know there's a $60 plus tax fee per dog per stay.

Wonderful peppery, wonderful location, Beachcomber folks were easy to work with, answered all questions, helped with everything…a friend and I stayed here, perfect for 2-4 people, a block from the beach, could hear the ocean from house, clean and nicely decorated…. Close to many things such as cannon beach but away from the crowds….we loved it and would rent again!

Loved the Shell

The Shell is a great property, we loved it. It's so close to the beach and we enjoyed listening to the waves at night. The house was clean and in a central location to all the activities we did. It was close enough to cannon beach without all the hustle and bustle of all the tourists. We will definitely stay here again.

Great stay in Arch Cape

We enjoyed our stay at The Shell in Arch Cape. The house was well appointed and comfortable. The beach access is perfect for long walks on the beach.

Great Spot Right off the Beach

Loved the proximity to the beach. Cozy spot and accommodated my dog and me perfectly. I’d definitely come back!

Great getaway from our everyday

Away from the crowds but close enough to everything we might need. Very well appointed kitchen, bedrooms and living area. Very clean linens and toweling which is important to us. Loved the barbecue and the fire-pit we used them both.

Home Away From Home

What a little gem. I had never stayed in Arch Cape before and had a delightful time. The area is a short drive from Cannon Beach and just wonderful. Scenic beauty everywhere. Beach access is so close it's walking distance. The cottage was very nice. We had everything we needed and plenty of room. The back yard was nice for our mini dachshund. Will definitely be back. Thanks.

Location Perfect For Us

Property is great for two people (and a dog, in our case). It can sleep 6 people but it would be crowded. It was clean, comfortable and nicely decorated. The kitchen is an easy one to function in. The neighborhood was quiet with quick access to the beach. And for us, it was within walking distance of friends we were visiting. There were some maintenance issues that the property management offered to attend to immediately. We would stay there again.

Clean, fun decor, comfortable home

The place is in a GREAT location! Quiet street, quick access to the beach. Cute, clean with a great color palette inside. We did have a few issues, trouble with the key code to get in, broken coffee grinder, a Keurig but no pods, the fireplace would not turn on. The property management company was great and responded. It was just a hassle to deal with. Unfortunately we could not use the small backyard due to Round Up being used. I guess I naively thought a pet friendly home would extend to the yard. Just disappointing.

Beautiful location private beach access

We had a great stay at the shell. It was just as pictured and even closer beach access than expected. We had a problem with the washer and it really upset us because it was the main reason we booked the place. We have 2 small kids and a dog and only brought a few items each expecting the ammenities that were offered to be in working condition. When we arrived there was a sign on the washer that it wont fully drain if not a full load. Well it still didn't work with a full load and they sent someone only to leave a note saying Out of Order. Its misrepresentation to rent a place saying you have washer and dryer facilities and they knew they weren't working properly, hence the sign. I believe we should be compensated for the major inconvenience for us having to wear dirty clothes over . Still haven't heard back from anyone yet.
