Beautiful Oceanwoods Cottage with Sunroom - Close to Beach and Night Heron Park

A great Oceanwoods cottage! What makes the cottage so special, in addition to its nicely furnished interior and quiet, tropical backdrop, is the absolutely perfect location! Nestled just between East Beach and West Beach, the cottage is in super close proximity to the beach, bike paths, Night Heron Park, and most other favorite island activities. You'll never want to stay anywhere else!

Features a fully appointed kitchen and nice dining area with a large dining area with seating for 6, and a cozy living room with a beautifully-finished cathedral ceiling and comfortable seating. Natural light and lightly hued walls, along with white kitchen countertops and cabinetry give it a true cottage feel.

Primary bedroom features a king bed, plenty of closet space and ensuite bathroom with nicely tiled walk-in shower.

Secondary bedroom features two twin beds. Its hall bathroom is located near the bedroom entrance, and is also appointed with a nicely tiled walk-in shower.

Next to the living room is the cozy, light-filled sunroom which offers another living area for indoor activities or relaxation. It includes a work table for last-minute work obligations and a love seat that opens for lounging or even additional sleeping needs for your little ones (when fully opened, it measures 40x68 - a little shorter than a regular mattress). The sunroom has sliding doors and drapes to close it off from the living room and primary bedroom - some of our guests have opted to bring a full or queen size inflatable mattress to be used in this space.

Enjoy a lovely deck and patio with a view of the lush tropical canopy along the back of the property.

This stand alone cottage offers privacy, and no guests above or below to disturb you. Easy entry with covered front porch, and convenient parking directly in front of the cottage makes loading and unloading a breeze.

We had never visited Kiawah Island before, and felt so fortunate to find this house. It is in a great location: near the beach and bike paths, and also within walking distance to The Nest to get coffee and a quick snack. The house was lovely and very comfortable, with a well-stocked kitchen. Highly recommend!

Beach Stay

We stayed here for two weeks and everything was perfect. We could not have had a better experience here. The proximity to the beach is great. We will be back soon. Great price too!

Wonderful week in Kiawah!

Another beautiful week on Kiawah Island! We were very happy with the accommodations which were as described. Loved being close to the beach! Spent many hours riding our bikes throughout the island and then eating dinner and relaxing in the cottage home in the evenings.

Lovely cottage, great location!

We loved our week long stay at this property. It’s nicely renovated and a super short walk to the beach. The twin room was great for our 5 and 8 year olds, and the sunroom is fully air conditioned so worked well for our 2 year old in the pack n play. We did see a pack n play in the closet, though we used our own from home since we had brought it. We had everything we needed kitchen wise, and Susie was friendly and helpful. The king bed was very comfortable. The location by Night Heron was great! We will definitely consider this home again or possibly a similar cottage with an additional bedroom as it’s located in a sweet pocket of the island. Overall another magical week at Kiawah!

Close proximity to beach

My husband and I booked a last minute trip to Kiawah and I was lucky enough to find this appropriately-sized place with great beach access. The house was exactly as described, no frills and you need to bring all your cooking condiments/coffee/etc, though it’s well-stocked with dish and cooking ware. Plenty of towels for house use. The price is ok given the proximity to the ocean. A problem with a ceiling fan was quickly addressed (Susie is responsive—thank you). The major issue was the master bed. It has a big ridge down the center of it that made us roll to each side. It also has a waterproof mattress cover (I don’t really blame them for that) that was incredibly noisy so I’d wake up every time my husband or I turned over. I ended up sleeping the rest of the stay in one of the single beds in the other room and my husband had to sleep at an angle in the master bed by himself. Pretty ridiculous and not very romantic. The twin beds were more comfy though still had the noisy waterproof mattress covers. Also, there’s loud rumbling/noise from, presumably, the neighbor’s AC. I managed to get used to that after the first night. One more thing: The tv. Cable only, couldn’t find a way to watch Netflix/etc. We’re not big tv watchers but wanting to unwind after a day out led us to cable shows and all their commercials. The tv is not a deal breaker, but the bed… bummer!

Thank you for taking the time to post this review. Future guests, please note that we have updated the TVs in the living room and master bedrooms so they both have streaming options. We have replaced the mattress pad as well. So sorry! We could have done that during your vacation if you had contacted us. We have found that everyone has different preferences with mattresses. Glad you enjoyed your time on Kiawah.
