SUNSET LAKE Getaway

The Sunset Lake house was the perfect place for a little getaway. With the weather being rainy, we made the best of it with a movie marathon.There was lots to do if one needed something to keep them busy. A great time was had by all. Would definitely recommend a stay to anyone else.

Beautiful lake retreat!

The owners were great to work with! The location was perfect for my family and we spent most of our time fishing or enjoying the view from the deck or the living room when it rained. The area was very quiet and perfect for a peaceful getaway from the city! We would definitely stay here again in the future!

Family Road Trip

This house has everything you need for an amazing lake vacation!!! The views were outstanding and we enjoyed using the paddle boat and 2 kayaks to explore the lake. We especially liked that it is pet friendly and our dogs were welcome! We hope to visit again soon.

Charming Waterfront

The charming family home had some nice updates. The rooms and beds are all full to king- making the sleeping arrangements enjoyable for all. 3 bathrooms was a huge bonus for our group of 7. We didn’t get to take part in the garage games since we spent the day skiing

Weekend getaway

We had a fantastic stay at the lakehouse. It is on a beautiful and serene part of the lake, and there was plenty to do in the area. The house itself was clean, well stocked, organized, and easy to navigate. The beds were very comfortable and the bathrooms were nice as well. We would highly recommend this house to others, and stay again in a heartbeat!

What a beautiful and peaceful escape! From the moment we arrived, we felt the calm and charm of this place. For starters, the view is breathtaking — one of those scenes that makes you stop and take a deep breath of gratitude. Overall the home has such a warm, welcoming feel and has everything you need — the kind of place that instantly makes you feel at home. We loved relaxing on the amazing wraparound deck, enjoying the breeze, watching the swans go “bottom up,” the willow tree branches sway, indulging in a bit of friendly competition in the game room, and drifting off each night in the super-comfy bed. Not to mention, the fireplace made for cozy evenings, and the kayaks were such a fun way to explore the water — even our 16-year-old chihuahua loved joining me for a peaceful paddle!The owner was wonderfully attentive and kind, checking in to be sure everything was comfortable and went above and beyond to make sure that we had what we needed. It’s the perfect mix of peaceful seclusion with the convenience of nearby restaurants, farmers markets, Antique stores and small-town charm.Our stay exceeded expectations. We left feeling rested, reconnected, and grateful for such a peaceful and cozy place to recharge — already missing that view!

Peaceful getaway

Had a great time getting away. House was clean and beautiful. Outdoor view of lake awesome. Outside was just as nice. Can get out on water with paddle boat or kayak so a lot to do without leaving.

Thanksgiving Treat

We enjoyed a lovely Thanksgiving Weekend in this cozy cottage on Pleasant Lake. We enjoyed holiday movies and card games by the fire. The swans on the lake provide lots of birdwatching opportunities. The kitchen is well equipped and large enough to spend a happy afternoon creating a holiday feast. Thank you so much to Mike and Colleen for accommodating us!

The View!

Loved this house! It had everything we needed and then some. We knew, visiting in the off season, we wouldn't be taking advantage of all the water activities, but we got what we wanted; a cozy home with a fantastic view. Mike was welcoming and helpful, and we look forward to visiting again.

Great place and property managers

We very much enjoyed our family get together at this house on a pretty lake with swans. Kitchen and grill very clean and easy to cook and serve our meals. The paddleboat was a wonderful way to explore the lake and get some exercise while exploring. Communication with the property manager was easy and he checked in every once in a while to see if we needed anything. Great place, would love to go there again!

Beautiful lake home

We had such a wonderful time at this lake house. Very quiet peaceful neighborhood the view was amazing. The home itself was very cozy and inviting. We had so much fun enjoying the deck, paddle boat, kayak and some fun game nights and watching movies. The house had everything you needed. Loved it!

Beautiful Home

This beautiful home has it all. Our family of 6 adults & 3 children, had a wonderful time. The kids loved playing all the video games and fishing off the dock the best, but they also kayaked, paddle boarded, and went tubing. They never said " I'm bored " lol. Everyone fell in love with this place, and we all want to come back here again. Very peaceful and quite.

This home was exactly what we were looking for! From the moment we walked in, it felt like a retreat—peaceful, beautifully maintained, and even better than the photos. The view was absolutely stunning, and the quiet surroundings made for such a relaxing stay.The house itself was packed with amenities—games, cozy hangout spaces, a well-stocked kitchen, and thoughtful touches throughout. The hosts really went above and beyond in providing everything we could possibly need: plenty of towels, paper products, kitchen supplies, and more. It was so nice not having to worry about the small stuff!While we didn’t get in the water due to a concern after spotting a deceased swan, there was still plenty to enjoy at the house itself, so it didn’t take away from the trip. A new grill would be a great upgrade in the future, but we were fine without it.Overall, this place checked all the boxes. We’re already talking about coming back—such a hidden gem! Highly recommend for anyone looking to unwind in comfort with a beautiful view.

Weekend getaway at Three Rivers

We loved our stay at Three Rivers. Perfect weekend getaway for our large family. Our backyard opened up to the beautiful lake, such serene mornings :) Mike was super responsive to all my questions, and I had a lot especially considering we had babies in our group, he answered all my questions/concerns about safety if pedal boating, the different boating activities in the garage, fishing related items, etc. We really appreciated his patience, especially at checkout since we went a little over our time. The house had a ton of games for the family, as well the garage filled with more fun things to do. Loved our stay, definitely plan on being back :)

Temporary Housing Due to Home Damage

Our house was damaged in the May 7 Portage, MI tornado so after outside repairs were completed, we moved out for 2 weeks while they completed inside repairs. While the tornado was a tragic experience for us, to be able to spend time at this location, on the lake (the sunrise is breathtaking), with family and friends was a blessing in disguise. We also had unseasonably warm September weather the entire time so we enjoyed the lake, the paddleboat, kayaks and the boat! Working with the insurance company added a few complications to finalizing the process, but Mike was absolutely amazing and responsible throughout the entire process. We have rented VRBO before but I can't give Mike enough stars to justify our experience. Even when he wasn't immediately available due to being out of the country, he still checked in and put us in touch with his cleaning service who were also instantly available with a question/clarification. The yard games are plentiful, and all the kitchen appliances (especially the pizza oven) made us feel at home. We can't wait to go back next year!!

Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial

THE VIEWS.
The kids will be entertained (as will the adults).
The property design has been well thought out and tested. We made sure that it has everything you need to be comfortable and have fun.

Kid/Family Activities:
If you go to the small downtown Main Street, there is a fun bookshop called Lowry’s that is attached to an AMAZING cookie shop called GG’s Cookies. Our family loves stopping here! The Main Street area is fun for kids and adults. Close to Main Street is Scidmore Park that has an awesome playground and a petting zoo. Another fun park is Meyer Broadway County Park that has walking trails, a playground, disc golf, a sand volleyball court and more. Corey Lake Orchards is a MUST stop. They have a farm market, distillery, winery. Depending on the time of the year they have apple picking, sunflower fields to walkthrough, pick your own veggies, etc.

Adult Activities:
A short drive away is Pine View Golf Club for any golfers. There is a fun, locally owned brewery called Useless Creatures Brewery. They have very fun trivia every Wednesday! There are a few other fun bars in the area, but one of our other favorites is Happy’s Landing. They have great food, drink deals and a fun outdoor patio. There are also 4-5 dispensaries in Three Rivers.
