Ubicado en Palm Island Resort en la costa suroeste del golfo de Florida. No existen puentes o calzadas a la isla, lo que garantiza un ambiente de vacaciones tropicales relajado.
El resort de la isla abarca una porción de dos millas de playas prístinas y privadas en el extremo norte de Palm Island.

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was more than happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Unit was fine. However, it wasn't very clean. Lots of dog hair on living room rug, in washer and dryer. Human hair on pillows and between sheets in king bed. No towels available at pool as advertised. Experience at Rum Bay Restaurant not great. Andrew at Coconuts is WONDERFUL! Young man who transported us with luggage to and from parking lot was A DELIGHT!

However, the service at Reception was not as we expected. If we needed help to book an activity, we were just given a list of companies and we had to phone or email ourselves. Coming from the UK this was more difficult. It's expensive and not always easy on international calls.

We love Palm Island Resort

The staff were so helpful and found us two units to stay in on the island. Both were very nice and we were very pleased with how comfortable the beds were. We like staying with Palm Island Resort because the villas are always nice and the staff are friendly and helpful. Note- we have been unsuccessful at booking a unit for February 2023. A Great Family Vacation Spot

Reviewer Comments: We have been coming to Palm Island since the 1990's and have always enjoyed the beautiful gulf waters, the remoteness of the island, and the accommodations. Over the years our kids and now our grandchildren also have joined us on vacations and love it. While we usually rent different units each time we come, we are finding that some of the units really need to be updated, painted and new furniture. The 2 bedroom unit we stayed in this year definitely needed those things. The kitchen appliances were not in great working condition - there was no ice maker and the dishwasher quit working altogether. There was a shortage of silverware (only a few forks) and some of the pots and pans were in pretty bad shape. The living room furniture was worn and didn't look that clean. With that being said, we had a relaxing beach vacation with all the family, some of who stayed in another unit.

First Timers

However, our unit 3213b could use some updates. We killed 5 cockroaches during our stay. The sofa is stained and sticky. The master shower is dingy and just doesn’t feel clean. We did love the big dining table, it was perfect for family game nights. The kitchen was well stocked and had what we needed. A bigger trash can would be helpful. The outdoor table top is not connected to the base, our daughters finger got pinched bc of this. The vacuum didn’t work, turns on but doesn’t pick anything up. We were disappointed kayaks and paddle boards weren't available, the website advertises this and we were looking forward to it. The staff at coconuts seemed put out when we asked for an umbrella and seemed like there was only one available each day. We would return, but stay in a different unit.

I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Not a top tier rental. We paid and were promised we would have one room with a queen bed and one room with a king. There was no queen bed but a double bed instead. Dishes were dirty in the cabinets and pots and pans were dirty and rusted. The bathrooms were dirty, moldy and grimy. Necessities like salt, pepper, oil were not available in the unit. Bellman was a half hour late for our checkout and when I called to make sure one was coming I got a rude response from the front desk. Beach was covered in dead fish and a beach walk could not even be enjoyed because of the smell.

Paradise with a side of cockroaches!

The peace and tranquility is amazing. The resort staff is friendly and courteous. My family and I really enjoyed the daily activities. The unit was in a great location. Close to the pool, bbq and the beach access. Inside the unit there were some upgraded appliances and bathrooms. Their were some minor touches that could use improvement like the closet doors kept coming off the hinges and swinging out, the kitchen lacked some basic utensils. A hand mixer and food storage containers would have been helpful to have, heck even a can opener would have been great. Then there were the cockroaches! We opened the kitchen cupboards to find a huge cockroach crawling on the plates. It was so gross. I called the front office and they sent over someone with bug spray. The next morning, I was preparing a snack in the kitchen when I feel something tickling my foot. You guessed it! Another cockroach and it was crawling on me!!! I was so disgusted. I ran to the living room and saw another one crawling across the living room floor. This place is infested with them! Now, I live in Florida. I know cockroaches happen, but I also know that I rarely see them in my own home and I sure as heck don't want to see them in a vacation home that I pay premium money for because it's somehow labeled as "superior". Cockroaches generally crawl out at night, in the dark and avoid being spotted. These were roaming around during the day. I shudder to think about what crawled around the unit at night. So disgusting!!

Island Time fun!

We called and complained and they moved us to a "superior room"??? The new room was better. We were there with a large group and all received a golf cart in their package, we did not. I wish they did not make the room/ package selection so **** confusing. We did have a great time and the island is kept in good shape.

Worst Vacation Week Ever at Palm Island

Reviewer Comments: My wife and I have been going to Palm Island for the past 30yrs. We have gone so many times that we know which units have a soft bed and we always book those units when available. This trip my daughter booked a 2BR unit we had just stayed in 2-3 months earlier on the top floor. We called 2 days before check-in and was told our unit was booked for us and would be available for check-in on our arrival date. When we arrived they had us booked in the lower unit under the one we had requested and in the unit we wanted was a family that had a small child that run front to back and sounded like the ceiling would fall in on us. When they checked out we thought at last some peace and quiet....not so....another family checked in with two small children. The sound was terrible. When we called the front desk we were told that security would be informed. Not once did security check on problem. We left a day earlier losing one of our booked days. Additionally we had to inform them of the following problems with unit. Towel bar hanging off wall, with clean towels on it. Pocket door broken, not fixed. Exhaust fan made a rattleing noise and would not work. They sprayed lubicant on motor. Dishwasher racks rusty and not useable for washing dishes. Shower head made a high pitched noise and had to be replaced. Unit was not clean upon arriving for a small pet, small items found under furniture which was found by our pet. Even though this was a pet-friendly unit which had paid $150.00 extra was not proper. With all the problems with this unit not once did the management call us to follow-up on any of these problems. Due to the above issues we are looking to book our vacations to the area in other vacation properties. We have recommend Palm Island to all of our friends and family...however.. not anymore.
