Comfortable and spacious townhome in Ashburn
We needed a place to stay while moving out of our local house, and I wanted more than a hotel so I had room to organize suitcases and do laundry. This VRBO was absolutely ideal. The downstairs study is a perfect staging area for all the bags and boxes, without the need to drag them up into the living area. The main living area is modern, clean, and well-designed. The bedrooms are comfortable, and I loved the little touches -- the toys in the "car" room, the extra blankets, a couple of bedtime story books (my daughter was obsessed with the Princess book and carried it around the whole week). The owner was responsive and understanding when my clumsy toddler knocked over a lamp. All in all, the VRBO was the easiest and most comfortable part of a very stressful week.
The only thing that could bump this place up from "amazing" to "perfect" would be if the bedrooms had true curtains or drapes, just to block out the morning sun. We stayed during the summer and with the early sunrise, our kids were out of bed by 5:30 due to the bright morning light. There were also a LOT of decor items on tabletops. All of it was lovely, but we found ourselves stashing most of it in the tops of closets to keep it out of toddler hands and to give us more space to put bags. That's completely not a big deal, and I'm honestly not complaining -- it's just one of the very things I noticed in an otherwise spectacular stay.
Bottom line -- this home is clean, comfortable, and even better in person.
