It provides a natural cut-through on a narrow strip of wooded land for the abundant wildlife and water fowl of the area. Bring your boat or rent close by using plenty of the extra available docking space. Amazing panoramic Sunrise or Sunset views as you grill on the covered side porch off the kitchen or roast your favorites on the open fire pit at the rear as the moon rises over lake. Home is nestled in a quiet cove, on direct main channel, big water. Listen to Osprey, Hawks and Heron from the private dock, deck, porches or large stone-covered outdoor spaces as they cross Lake Norman directly over this unique, relaxing lake getaway.

This home is absolutely beautiful and the lake view is amazing! The homeowners have made sure everything is in its place from the decor to anything you would need in the kitchen. What a lovely weekend our family enjoyed at this cottage. Thank you for sharing your home.

Summer vacay!

Second time staying at this property!Amazing amenities and views. Played in the water, relaxed by the water, and enjoyed a few sightings of deer and birds. Rented a boat nearby and enjoyed the lake. Can’t wait for our next adventure. The host are great!

Fun on the lake!

Great property and host! The layout of the house and grounds were perfect! Used the decks, porch, beach, and dock. Just wonderful!

She Said YES @ The Birdhouse

Our stay here Jul2-6, 2025 was amazing! The home looked freshly remodeled, very clean and the homeowner left clear directions in a binder on the huge island in the kitchen on how to take care of the home. During our stay I proposed to my girlfriend and I think the beautiful backdrop helped alot lol Seriously everything was great. Just to be fair and name one con is that some of the seasonings also the marshmallows for the fire pit for expired. Really no issue at all.

Idyllic Retreat

The Birdhouse on Lake Norman is absolutely beautiful - inside and out. It is filled with light and incredible views of the water and of the wildlife. The spaces are clean, bright, and every possible modern amenity is included. The hardest part was choosing where to enjoy the lake next - upstairs, downstairs, inside, outside, on a beautiful walk along the lake, etc., etc, etc. Watching the wildlife was a wonderful bonus and included sharing morning coffee time with a lovely deer, ducks, and an osprey on the dock. I will be back! Thank you to Robert and Charleen for sharing your beautiful lake home!

Perfect Weekend Getaway on Lake Norman

This lake home was exceptional and we are ready to visit again! We stayed for a long weekend and everything was just as expected and more! The place was clean, the layout was great, and the amenities were top notch. The views of the lake were phenomenal from the kitchen/living area, the bedrooms and the back yard. The owners have taken great measures to make your stay comfortable and inviting. All the little things were there . . . for the lake we had beach towels, floats, a paddleboard, and a nice beach area--for relaxing we had magazines, blankets, candles, a firepit and all the things you need for s'mores -- for cooking there were spices, fun dishes for serving, and great appliances -- the beds were comfortable, showers had nice pressure, and the washer/dryer came in very handy! My favorite spot was the side porch to enjoy morning tea while watching the sun rise and then a glass of wine to watch the sun set! We would highly recommend staying at The Birdhouse!

Beautiful lakefront getaway

We booked the Birdhouse for our first visit to Lake Norman, to explore the area for a possible permanent move there. This home is even more beautiful and tastefully decorated than it looks online! It’s interior design magazine worthy. A nice surprise for a rental. The view of the lake is gorgeous from all rooms. The home had everything we needed for a long weekend stay. So relaxing and homey. If exploring the areas of Cornelius, Mooresville, it’s a bit of a drive but the restaurants there are worth the drive. This home has a nice little private beach area as well, if you have little ones along. The owners have provided everything outside for a fun beach weekend. Linens were thick and cushy, both Queen beds very comfy. Little touches in this home made us want to come back again! Owners put a lot of thought into this rental. Super chic.
