Quaint home in Oak Hill, Conveniently Located.

We are minutes away from many of the major attractions in the area including: rafting companies (ACE, AOTG, River Expeditions), hiking, shops, and restaurants. We are located in the city of Oak Hill so no crazy backroads or surprises : )

Relax on our back porch, around the firepit, or inside in AC after a great day of having fun!

The space includes two bedrooms (each with their own TV). One bedroom has a queen bed and the other bedroom has two bunk beds (3 twins and a full). We have a washer and dryer at your disposal.

The house is 936 square feet. We welcome 6 people to stay at a time, but be aware that it can get a bit crowded with that number (the bathroom is pretty small). 4 people can fit quite comfortably :)

Please note that the “No Pet” policy is for guests. When we are using the house, we do bring our dog, Medora. She will usually end up being there about 2-3 weeks total throughout the year. If you have a very severe dog allergy, please consider this before booking.

We were in town for a church conference at Solid Rock Worship Center. Our drive was less than 5 minutes, so the location of this house was perfect!Everything was as described. The house was clean and cozy. The beds were SO comfortable...a rare find for a rental property, and a HUGE plus!! The back porch was a perfect place to hang out and enjoy the fall weather, and (though we didn't have time to utilize it) the back yard is really nice! I also really appreciated having all of the essentials on hand, and my daughters loved the games and toys that were available for them.We really enjoyed our stay and will book again if we're planning to be in the area!

We stayed here for a day at Ace Adventures waterpark and back-to-school shopping in Beckley. This house was a perfect fit. The bedroom with bunk beds and smart tv was perfect for 4 young teen girls. The AC works GREAT! A couple homes nearby were a bit dilapidated with grass not mowed. Our house was nicely maintained and perfect in price and perfect in location to Ace. Great stay!

We needed a place close to the outfitters for our white water rafting trip. This home was perfect. Easy in and easy out. Room enough for our family. Super convenient. Would definitely book again.

This was a great little place for us to stay for our family! We were only there for two night S but it was the perfect location, we booked last minute and the host was super friendly amd responded right away! The only MINOR thing was that the bathroom wasn’t as clean as I prefer (but in owners defense I am very hard to please with cleanliness)

It is all great.

Our 3 kids, my wife, and I spent our 3 days together here while we visited around New River Gorge National Park. We enjoyed it. This property is in a great location. If you are visiting the New River Gorge National Park with family, then it is great.

Great little place for a trip to the National Park!

Would have rated it 10/10, but the couch in the living room smelled so badly like dogs, it made the room stink. The rest of the house was odorless, thankfully! There were lots of extra amenities like a hot water heater for tea! Agree with other comments regarding the bathroom, if you’re a larger person it may not suit you.

My husband, his sister, and I stayed at this comfy little home after attending a funeral for their uncle. It was a perfect serene spot to retire after the visitation time. The instructions for everything were concise and easy to follow..

Great place to explore New River Gorge

This is a great location to explore the New River Gorge area. It has off-street parking for one car and a nice backyard/outdoor area (including a table on the back deck). The listing quite rightly says that 6 people would be a squeeze; there were 2 of us and it was good. Four could fit easily in the bedrooms; the bathroom can really only fit one at a time and I think four might be a squeeze on the couch (although the table was good-sized and would be fine for doing things other than watching TV - also TVs in the bedrooms!). The pricing was great for the size/number of beds and the area. The only thing I would ding this for is that you do have to drive a bit (~10 minutes) to Fayetteville for food as there aren't a ton of options in Oak Hill, but I drive more than 10 minutes for food in my city, so we didn't have a problem with it! We'd stay again if we were in the area.

Gauley Weekend

My daughter and I were in town to raft the Gauley, and this property was perfect for us. 10-15 minutes from ACE, 10 minutes from Fayetteville. Great location for Gauley season!

I loved that we had laundry! The kitchen was large and had everything we needed to prepare some meals. We also loved the fire pit outside. It was a bit outdated and could’ve been tidied up a little more before we got there but that was our only complaints.

Great stay

We had a great stay here! House was comfortable, clean, and perfect for my dad and myself. The house was well-stocked with all the essentials. Great to have to the deck and outdoor area. All the details were communicated well for check-in and check-out.

My name is David! I am an elementary music teacher from Detroit, MI. My wife, Kat, is a nurse. We are both avid travelers and love going on new adventures! During the summers, I am a whitewater raft guide in West Virginia, while my wife likes to cook/bake. We both love to ski, check out local coffee shops, and go hiking! When we are not traveling some of our favorite things to do is go to coffee shops and play board games, take our dog, Medora, on walks, and go kayaking. Being from Michigan we have many lakes to chose from : )

We chose this neighborhood because we are part of the whitewater rafting community in the area. We come down when we can to enjoy the nature in the area, but even more so, the wonderful people that live here.
