We had a wonderful stay. The hosts were very friendly and communicated with us. The apartment is very comfortable, and has a lot of quality touches. We were there to drop our daughter off at college and it was the perfect spot. We will be back!

Apartment was as listed, no surprises. It had all the amenities you need, and I mean everything. And most importantly, a space to park your car. Highly recommended!!!!

We had a great stay at the little apartment in Mushkey’s house. The neighbor is safe and diverse. We had a designated parking spot! Checking in and settling was painless. Host is very responsive and respectful. We will be back. I put 4 stars for location as it was a bit of a drive to Loyola, as she was getting registered there.

Great Spot!

A great place! Very clean and has everything you need. We only stayed for a few days but we wanted to stay longer. The host was super nice and welcoming. All the amenities worked well and the beds were very comfy. Some other reviews mention children running around upstairs but it was hardly an issue with our stay, we only heard them a couple times in the morning. Thank you so much for a great stay!

Had we known a few things that were omitted, we would not have booked it. We went with my wife's mother who has issues walking and nowhere in the description of the house did it mention a step to enter the house that was 14 inches high. She has issues getting up and down it each time. We also had no idea that the host's children were heavy footed and started very early in the morning and ended very late at night, making sleeping a bit of a challenge. Lastly, I am just under 6 feet tall and because this VRBO is in the basement, the ceilings are very low. If you are 6'2" or better, you could find this to be somewhat tight. We were also not told it was in the basement.

Accommodations were excellent. Couldn’t say enough good about our stay. Host was very friendly and easily accessible. Next time I’m in Chicago, will hope it is available, I’ll definitely be staying there

The property was clean, cozy and accommodating. The neighborhood was just lovely and the host was thoughtful and communicative. I found my stay to be very enjoyable and peaceful. It was my first time not using a hotel and after the experience I don't think I will ever stay in a hotel again. 10/10 would seek to stay again when next I visit Chicago.

Cleanest VRBO we have ever stayed in

Every detail was thought of and seen to here. The owners were very responsive to any question. It was incredibly clean, charming, and very comfortable. We were in Chicago to see various extended family and to sight see. This was the perfect home base. All in all it was a wonderful experience. I look forward to staying here again when we plan our next visit.

Good Value

We stayed for a week over Christmas so we could be near family. Not being from Chicago, l really appreciated being able to have a parking space. Hotel quality linens - pillows were fluffy, the sheets were super soft, and the comforter was just right. Even in winter and technically being a basement the temperature was nice and comfortable. Yes, I could hear footsteps upstairs but it didn't bother us - it's not like there are kids running back and forth for hours. It was only occasionally people moving around the house. I also didn't hear it late at night at all. We also didn't hear any "city noise" from outside. We were given great directions about getting there but when we did have a question, the host was responsive almost immediately. Nothing here is luxury BUT it also isn't cheap crap that you frequently find in vacation rentals. I felt that the price we paid for what we got was very reasonable. We would certainly stay here (or with this host) again in the future.

In town for wedding

My husband and I, along with our grown daughter, stayed three nights here. We chose it because of its proximity to Uptown. Quiet neighborhood, and the dedicated parking spot was much appreciated! Beds were comfortable, and plenty of towels were provided. Yes, we heard kids upstairs, but it didn’t bother us. We enjoyed our stay!

Sparkling clean apartment

Cleanliness of accommodations is so important to me when traveling and this apt did not disappoint. An on premise parking spot was also wonderful, rather than having to search for street parking. The host was also very accommodating. We will definitely stay again when in Chicago.

Chicago Stay

Very nice comfortable and great location. The only negative was the running around upstairs and bouncing of a ball. If your a early riser like us. The noise from upstairs wasn't much of a bother. There are ear plugs in a package in the bedroom, if needed.

Clean and Well-Decorated

Nice and well-decorated/renovated 2BR space. At 5’5” tall, I didn’t give any thought to the mention of 6 foot tall ceilings, but my over 6’ tall husband couldn’t shower fully upright. So, make a note if over 5’7”. Quiet neighborhood and nice to have a parking spot provided. Would book again and bring along the kids next time.

Wasn’t what we were expecting.

The pictures match perfectly! However, we were notified last minute that this is actually in their basement.. nothing but a thin door separating the upstairs from the downstairs. You could hear children running around.. for the most part everything was great though!

Safe and Comfortable!

Beautiful little basement apartment for our recent stay in Chicago for a work trip. The apartment was clean and comfortable. The neighborhood also felt very safe and you couldn’t ask for nicer hosts! Would definitely stay again!
