A beautiful oasis for the week!

Everything about our stay at Vista Carib was wonderful! We had 2 families of 4, for a total of 8 people in the house and it was a perfect experience. The house itself is very well appointed and has all of the conveniences you’d want, along with the most amazing views. The property management company was also so helpful from the throughout our booking and stay. We would definitely stay here again and cannot say enough good things about the house!

Gorgeous and Welcoming

So well laid out and everything we needed. Bedrooms were spacious and quiet enough to give everyone their space. Kitchen had everything we needed. Grill worked well. So nice to shower of by the pool. Snorkle in the morning and pool at the end of the day before dinner. We never needed to have dinner out. Team was very helpful in advance and greeter, Jovanna, was very kind and helpful too. Can't wait to come back again!

The full-house air conditioning made our stay pleasant with the extreme heat. The house and property was very clean. The pool was a huge hit with the kids, which was used day and evening. We have rented various houses through Catered To for many years, and this was the nicest house we have stayed in. It appeared to be brand new. We highly recommend Villa Caribe!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very unhappy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have stayed at this lovely villa for years and years. The view, the spacious interior, and the incredible pool and lush landscaping is breathtaking. Sadly, the past two visits have provided us with some signs that the villa is in need of some updates. The kitchen stovetop was tricky to get started, the shower heads needed to be cleaned to allow us to get the water to come out properly and honestly, most of the bathroom fixtures ( especially the primary shower) are in need of replacements. The quilts on the king size beds barely fit and the mattress toppers shifted all over -just as the sectional in the living room did while sitting in and out of it - again, not a deal breaker but we have seen this villa grow in popularity and we know the eye for detail that the owners have had in the past. We had to call the very response rental company to fix a broken curtain rod in the master and to tighten up the cabana bed as my parents could not sleep due to the wooden frame being out of place and therefore, being very noisy. A chirping smoke detector (nobody can predict that), tile floors that were not as clean as we have seen, and dust behind the master tv in armoire, and larger furniture, were all added to our list of the attention to detail that we didn’t expect to encounter as being overlooked. With that being said, the pool and outdoor sitting areas were clean and inviting and the panoramic views and the family- feel that Catered To has provided us for over 20 years, is one of the many reason why we return to the magical island time and time again.

Simply Spectacular!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Beautiful home with beautiful views of Great Cruz Bay. This home looks down over the Westin and Epstein's Island off in the distance. Home is in a gated community and is about a 10 minute drive to all of the action in town. Home is split between pool house which is HUGE and main house with kitchen, den and 3 large bedroom suites. The kitchen is perfectly appointed for cooking every meal and blending cocktails. The kitchen has every utensil you need and plenty of plates, dishes, pots, pans, etc. Home comes with an icemaker (not enough to fill your cooler daily), a decent cooler to take to the beach, and about 9 beach chairs. The TV's all work well, there is a great blue-tooth speaker, and an excellent WIFI connection. This is the second time staying in this home and we were just as please as the first time. In fact it may have improved a bit since we knew what to expect. This time we cooked at the house more often. There are only 2 drawbacks that I can mention. First, Since 2020 the trees have grown up a bit blocking the view from the pool. This is NOT a deal breaker but just an observation. The views from the house are still unobstructed! Next are the roosters in the neighborhood. OMG! they start at 5am and go all day long. At first it is funny but then it gets a little annoying. If you are looking for peace and quiet please be warned that this may be a deal breaker for this house. I noticed that there were very few iguanas compared to last time so maybe they can "relocate" the roosters too. Catered To is an EXCELLENT company to work with. We worked with Vernesta and she was always eager and willing to quickly answer any questions or give directions/advice on what to do. If you are looking for a beautiful home, you should strongly consider this one!

Maintenance contact, Mike, was amazing and knowledgeable. Response to minor issues quickly addressed. Only down side were the numerous roosters who left droppings all around the outside. This had to be washed away on a frequent basis. Overall, would love to return to this property.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The rental was clean, view (sunset) beautiful and the housekeeping/lawn staff was invisible but ensures everything remained beautiful. The only difficulty was getting up the hill(s) without a 4wd. It is achievable but a little nerve racking. Once at the location, the house is laid out well and was perfect for a small group (we had 2 kids and my parents. Could have been comfortable with another couple too). Also, all the serving stuff was great (everything was there we needed) including sharp knives, which sometimes in rentals isn’t always the case.

Winter Friends Vacation

We LOVE St. John! This was our first time staying at this property. When we first arrived @ 5:30 pm the home wasn’t cleaned or ready for us but the management company made it right. Our group have TWO major suggestions- 1) New mattresses would be very high on the list as the bedrooms in the main have are very uncomfortable. Maybe even mattress toppers would help a lot. The casitas was much better. 2) The view from the pool is obstructed from the overgrown trees. Other than that we very much enjoyed our stay.

Beautiful home

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This is a beautiful home with an incredible outdoor area. We loved the pool, gazebo and covered patio...the view is outstanding. The house is spacious and well laid out. It was nice to have a separate guest house as well. The only two negatives involved dogs in the area. Our first day there, a loose dog in the neighborhood jumped up on our (adult) daughter and bit her hand. We spent several hours at a local health clinic on Christmas Eve, as a result. She was ok but shaken up. The second thing, is that a neighbor who lives there year round, has a dog that barks a lot. Since we spent so much time outside, it did get a bit annoying. Overall, our experience was great and Catered To was veryhelpful throughout the rental process. We even shipped a few boxes ahead of time which they kindly delivered to the house.

Stayed with 2 other couples and there was plenty of room and privacy. Would be great for 4 couples as well with 4 well appointed master suites. The outside dining area was underplayed in the photos and we sat there every night after sunset. The only downside was the place was so great and the "vista" so compelling that we had to be back from the beach by 4 to be by the pool for sunset. The kitchen / grill was great too so we ate in and enjoyed the property almost every night. Could not recommend it more highly. And Catered To did a great job on the rental, getting us prepped for arrival and managing the whole process. Thank you, we will be back!

Absolutely Perfect Villa Experience

Vernesta stayed in contact throughout process & timely cordial responses from her & everyone in office. Best agency experience ever (have been to St. John 9 X). Couldn’t book far enough in advance to get Waterfall Villa for many years ... now we know why! Wonderful Villa in beautiful, private setting w/abundant landscaping & gorgeous outdoor area. Oh that infinity pool! Can swim laps & comfortable temperature - unlike some cold small ones. View of ocean from all the rooms. Kitchen well stocked. No bugs. All appliances worked fine. Uncluttered decor & comfortable great room furniture. Extra spacious bathrooms & closets. Luv’d having all rooms on same floor & same level as pool (except 3rd bedroom we didn’t use). Only con: scary, hard to maneuver driveway but you overcome it next evening. Would prefer all-rooms A/C but retreated to AC bedroom w/TV late night. Only 10 min drive to town for dinners @ Extra Virgin Bistro (favorite), Morgan’s Mango, 1864 & Ocean 362. Such a great trip we just couldn’t go home. On departure date Vernesta got us another Villa for extra 5 nights w/o notice .. had early lunch @ Beach Bar upon leaving Waterfall & she had next Villa ready for us. Would also recommend provisioning... Landlubbers had everything on list waiting for us—no need to go get groceries/alcohol/sundries. Every day sunny & above 80– which made trip great. North beaches fully recovered (relative to foliage & sand). Can’t wait to return 😎

But, the Villa is in dire need of a refresh. Furniture is worn and soiled, property needs to be completely pressure washed and the bath rooms need a complete make over. House has a perfect layout for small children.

Liked the addition of pool house suite. The villa had several up grades to interior with newer furniture. Had a great vacation and perfect weather. The only issue was water pressure in suite upstairs. Hot water was not able to be regulated very well and no water pressure. Had to use the shower in the middle suite. That shower the water could be regulated better and a water little pressure. Would stay there again. Look forward to booking next year's trip. Thank you for a wonderful vacation

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have been vacationing in St John for 24 years. I remember when they were building Vista Caribe. We were excited to stay there. I will have to say we had a great 12 days but we were disappointed in a few things about the house. The kitchen appliances really need to be replaced. The Double oven needs the heating element replaced. The microwave did work but had a very loud roar. And the dish washer had mold and took 3 plus hours to wash. The baking pans and some of pots need replaced. Because of COVID we cooked a lot. The grill was great! We loved the pool but the brick needs pressure wash. The master really needs a new master. Other than that we loved the house. I have never written a negative review but if I own this house I would want to know. Again it is an amazing house we had a great time but wanted to share some things that would help the owners know just a few things that I would want to know. The price of the villa did not measure up to others on the island that we have rented.

Reviewer Comments: We have rented from catered too when we stay on St. John for the past 15 years and I definitely see a difference in customer service and honesty I called the office to ask a question and the girl who answered was extremely rude to me on another occasion I called because there are 2 lounge chairs under a gazebo that we have over the years loved to sit and read on but this year the cushions were covered with hair and blood I called to see if they could get new cushions or clean the ones we had and the girl never called me back - we pay a lot of money to stay at vista Caribe and this was our fourth stay at the house which we love but should not have filthy cushions and then no response to taking care of our request! We can rent a house online to stay in the resin we have used catered too all these years was its customer service which is now non existent in my opinion ! The bright spot is Mike who is called in for any maintenance issues he is wonderful! Not sure if I will use catered too again - very disappointing

Absolutely Beautiful

The house was amazing! View was spectacular! The house was very well equipped with essentials - the kitchen was pretty well stocked. We would absolutely stay again!
