Or relaxing by the water watching the sunset as a lonesome train whistle echoes across the water. This cozy riverfront cottage right on the New River offers all levels of recreation & relaxation. Fayetteville and the heart of the New River Gorge is a short stunning drive. Enjoy all that the area has to offer from this lovely riverfront rental. Kayaks, SUPs with life jackets and paddles are included! No additional charge!! Outside rental for this equipment averages $150-$200 per day! Play from dawn to dusk right in your backyard!

Family trip to New River Gorge National Park

We enjoyed views of the river from the open living space, the sofa and beds were comfortable. It was also nice to relax in the evenings playing games at the large table and relaxing on the sofa. The drive to the national park entrance was beautiful with waterfalls and lookouts along the way. Our family enjoyed our stay at the cottage on the river.

House is super clean and comfortable. Wifi worked great and the water toys were awesome. Address was difficult but just be careful when you plug it in gps as there is another sinilar address 30 min away

The house was comfortable and perfectly located on the river. It was great to have access to multiple kayaks and paddle boards to explore with. There are so many fun things to do nearby. The natural beauty is significant and the morning fog over the mountains and river is a great way to start each day. The owner was generous and very responsive to questions. Our family had a great time and hope to return. Highly recommended.

Nice getaway

Cynthia was great and very responsive to any questions we had. The availability of SUPs and kayaks at the rental was a big plus. We had a great time and enjoyed our stay.

Clean, rustic, and fun

Nicely situated to drive to the best locations of the Gauley Basin. Quality home to stay in with enough features to be an oasis from a busy day out in Mother Nature without being so elaborate that you spend a fortune. Also, had a beautiful view of the river and Gauley valley

Perfect WV Getaway

The property is right along the river with beautiful views of the mountains. It includes kayaks & SUPs that make it especially convenient. The owner was very responsive & easy to communicate with! We would definitely stay here again!

Relaxing and clean

Minutes to beautiful falls. Beds were comfortable and house was good size . Enjoyed setting down at the river fishing right on the property, floated the New River both in kayaks and white water rafting . Would definitely stay again if we return to this area .

Perfect Getaway

Great location for everything hiking/nature related. Very clean house. Backyard goes straight to the river and mountains. Easy hiking access nearby. Extremely happy with this area and choice of house.

Relaxing and Gorgeous

We loved our time here. The New River us beyond stunning and this house was a perfect launching pad to explore the gorge. And then to come back to this adorable house right on the river was exactly what we hoped for. I would highly recommend

Quaint and Clean

Property was located on the north end of the Gorge Park. Convenient to the New River Bridge, Gauley River, and Fayetteville. Also located on wide, slow section of the river - safe for kayaking and general boating for families.

Great Getaway

We had a great time at the Riverfront Cottage! We really enjoyed Hawks Nest, New River Gorge and Cathedral Falls which are within a very reasonable driving distance. The Cottage was clean and the kitchen had all the essentials we needed to prepare meals. Having access to kayaks and SUP boards was a huge bonus for us. The location was quiet and everyone that we spoke with was very kind & helpful.

Great place to stay on the river

We had a great time here. Place was clean and kitchen was well stocked! Bedrooms are large. Second bedroom had 2 queen beds. We definitely used the kayaks and sups! River was quiet. Centrally located to the Fayetteville, new river gorge and summerville lake. We will definitely think about staying here again.

House on the River

We enjoyed our stay. The house was about a half-hour drive from the main visitor center in New River Gorge National Park. Two very nice state parks were also within a relatively short driving distance. We used the full-size kitchen for breakfast and dinner. It was nice having a dishwasher. The kayaks and fire pit were a lot of fun.

Labor Day Weekend getaway

House was very clean. Bedrooms & bathrooms were good sizes. Thanks for the extra paper towels/toilet paper/kitchen supplies. Could hear road traffic in morning but back yard/river were perfect! Excellent location. Close to Hawks Nest State Park, New River Gorge Bridge. Loved having the SUPs and kayaks to use. So fun to explore the river right outside our door.

Time of our lives….

From the moment we made our reservation to after we checked out and realized we had lost something, ALL our needs were met. Cynthia went above and beyond for us. Our cottage was adorable, and the view from the deck was amazing. Our cottage was furnished so cute and was well appointed with anything we could imagine needing. It even had kayaks amd SUPs!!! We will definitely be back!!!
