Things to note:
-Fireplace is for looks only. It is NOT for use.
-Person making the reservation must be staying on property, unless given prior approval.
-While we do have some life jackets, it is recommended to bring your own to ensure a proper fit.
-Lake Hartwell is regulated by a dam so the water levels will vary. We are not responsible for the lake level.
-Guests are responsible for following as lake, fishing and boating regulations.
-A starter supply of supplies, such as toilet paper and paper towels, is provided.
-There is absolutely no pets and no smoking in the house. If this rule is broken, you will be charged an extra $200 for deep cleaning of the house.
-The kayak, paddle board and lake toys are for the use of our guests as an added bonus. If they become unavailable or break, you would not be entitled to a refund.
-If any of the house rules are broken, you will be subject to removal without a refund for the remaining of the rental reservation.

Very clean older property on the lake at the end of a cove. Property advertised having a Hot tub which it does not (I just checked and they are still listing a hot tub on the property). Owner offered an adjustment or I could cancel. Hot tub reference needs to be removed. Was already on property and would of had to find another location at short notice for 3 days. Overall the property was nice and very clean. Covered parking for 1 vehicle. No kayaks were present to use. Would recommend potential renters read comments from other guest and confirm any questions prior to booking. Thus my rating of 4 versus 5.

Clean, updated older home. Good communication with friendly host, who offered late check out. Was surprised that there was no door to close to the bathroom in the king room and no door to close off the boat bedroom. the docks pictured do not go with this property. It only has a small stairway to a very small cove of water, which was low so we couldn't get in kayaks without going through mud. We weren't there much so this didn't matter to us. Good location for attending parents' weekend at Clemson, apx a 35 minute drive to campus.

Short stay

We were in towm for a gymnastics meet and this was the perfect peaceful stay on the water. The back porch is wonderful! We enjoyed our stay.

Very cute and comfortable cove home

Home on a cove with ample space and yard. Well stocked home and beautiful view. We took our family and had a great time. Only downside was internet was not working.

Sweet Hideaway

The property is in a quiet area, on the water and very close to a boat launch. Great for relaxing and entertaining. Relatively close to stores, resteraunts. Very comfortable. Only down side is only one of the three bedrooms has a closet. Would definitely stay again.

Relaxing and fun !

We came to South Carolina for a relaxing summer trip with our two young teens We really enjoyed the kayaks and the lake! Went on a few trips but our sunrise paddle was the best! The beds were comfortable and clean! My favorite room was the back “porch” Everything was decorated so perfectly! We ate in a lot so it was nice that the kitchen was well stocked with pans needed for cooking. Thanks for the memories!

Special Memories

We loved our stay here! Everything was clean and comfortable. I loved the extra towels. The coffee and creamer was so welcoming upon our arrival. My children 13 and 3 loved jumping from the dock and we all enjoyed the water toys. The dock is not in deep water, so bring water shoes! We look forward to returning soon!

What a treasure!

This house was beautifully decorated with every touch in place. The bobber theme was so cute. The house was spotless with everything you could need. The little touches like snacks and coffee were yummy!! The house had plenty of space for all of us. The yard and view of the lake were amazing. We look for a space every time we come to Clemson for football weekends. Our search is over, we will plan to return if the unit is available. The host was great. She communicated with us well in advance and was available if needed. If you are looking for a spot that has everything for a great stay, look no further. This is it!!

Place was older but nice. Not handicap accessible my hubby had a difficult time getting in & out of the house & to the carport & out on the back deck. No handrails. The bathroom & walk in shower needs safety bars. Very nice updates to the place & beautiful view of the lake! Lots of amenities .

Delightful Stay at Lake Hartwell

This property is amazing! The house was impeccably clean, which made us feel at peace and as comfortable as one would in one’s own home. It includes three comfortable sitting rooms, each with beautiful pieces of furniture. The “porch”/den with its Stickley furniture and striking views of the lake was probably my favorite, but the beautiful living room with its sofas and lake views was also the perfect place to gather and converse or relax and read. The artwork and other charming decorations made us remark that a lot of thinking went into the style and design of each room. As the listing promised, the kitchen was equipped with everything you might need—but it goes beyond that: everything looks new. The coffee cups, as a small example, are so pristinely white you think you must be the first person to drink from them. Other attractions—the dining table/chairs/umbrella on the outside porch, the same on the patio, the array of boats, a dock, outside shower, fire pit, glider/swing set, ample parking, WiFi, etc—were all as stated on the listing. In addition, we enjoyed birding in the sprawling backyard with its many trees. The host is welcoming and consistently friendly. We appreciated her attention to us via text, the information book about the property as well as the brochures about things to do in the area. Really, this is a perfect get-away. We stayed an extra night and were sad to have to leave when we did!

Clemson Family Weekend

Super cute cabin on a cove of Lake Hartwell. This is a manufactured house with comfortable living spaces and a well-supplied kitchen - there is literally everything in that kitchen, and not just cast-offs! Everything was very clean - no dust-bunnies in the corners here. Be warned that there is no hair dryer, which would be a welcome addition. The location is off the beaten path, but only took ~30 mins to get to CU from here, and well-worth the savings over inflated Family Weekend hotel rates. Would be an awesome option with more downtime and opportunity to take advantage of the waterfront location.

Quiet Lake House

Nice, clean older house, well updated. The house was small but cozy. It could use a shower in the master bath and an actual exhaust fan in the other bath. Regarding the backyard, it could use a dedicated walk path to the grill and outdoor recreational amenities. There is a potential trip hazard crossing the water drain. The lake level was low, but it was still a challenge to get the kayaks down the steps to the water. Pack your groceries before arrival, because it's approx. 30 minutes away from any grocery stores. Overall, for a mid week get away, it was a relaxing, and quiet trip.

What sets our lake house apart is its expansive lot size and its level terrain. Nobody wants to have to lug kayaks up stairs from the lake! These are two very unique features for Lake Hartwell properties.
