The host and location exceeded all expectations. First, the location: the front door to the home opens to the sounds of ocean waves and a small patio with chairs and a BBQ right along the beachside Newport Balboa walking and biking trail - we loved our morning and evening strolls along the trail with nearby restaurants, shopping and the beach steps from the front door. The home was clean, well furnished and organized with everything we needed. As great as the location was, the host further exceeded expectations. Shauntelle was attentive to ensuring we had everything we needed for the stay and made it a point to talk over the phone in advance to be sure she didn't miss anything. As she learned more about us and our plans, she offered the upstairs space at no additional cost. The upstairs has glorious views of the beach, ocean, pier, and perfect sunsets from the deck overlooking it all. The additional space allowed our big group to spread out comfortably and created additional privacy - it was truly a generous gift that made a wonderful stay even better. I highly recommend this home and host - based on our experience, they will exceed expectations!

Perfect beach house in a great location. The house was very clean and nicely decorated. It had plenty of beds and the host was accommodating and available for whenever we needed her.

My family and I stayed here to celebrate my dad's 65th birthday and the house was the perfect size for all of us. We enjoyed the location right on the boardwalk and very close to the beach. Also walking distance to the Fun Zone and some restaurants. It is dog friendly too. The parking gets to be a little hairy on the weekends during the summer with lots of visitors to the beach but Shauntelle was very accommodating with reimbursement for the parking meters. Shauntelle was also very kind and responsive to my communications with her throughout the check in process from a few days prior to check in and on the day of. She even did a virtual walk through with me to ensure the house was in proper working order and that we had everything we needed. If something isn't quite right or if you need anything else to make the stay better within reason she is willing to provide it or assist in any way. Great customer service!

Great / fun / relaxing experience by the beach

My family and friends had a wonderful time in Newport Beach. The property was perfectly located across from the beach and only a short walk (one block) away from many fine restaurants and shops. Lot's of things to do for everyone. Or just kick back and relax (Me). Once we parked, never had to leave. Didn't want to. I plan on staying here again. Shauntelle was a gracious host/representative and a pleasure to deal with. I recommend this spot to anyone.

Perfect family reunion!

Hosted a family reunion at their boardwalk/oceanfront property and the experience/customer care was truly first class! The property is quite large considering it's right on the boardwalk and everything is updated. TVs in every room, updated showers, large comfortable beds. The location is right next to restaurants and bars, we walked everywhere. Blankets, beach chairs, beach tents, beach towels were complimentary and very much appreciated. Lastly but not least, we would like to give a shout out to our property representative Shauntelle. Her customer service was exceptional. She was very reachable and accommodating to our requests. 100% would rent this property again!

This house is absolutely stunning we loved the VIP experience that Shantelle has given, very thoughtful and caring made sure all our needs were met. The home is in thee most perfect location all the way around you have the pier with Ruby’s dinner , bicycle rentals at reach, the beach view and fire pits steps away. I don’t like walking lol but everything was close enough where I volunteered let’s go walk over to the balboa Ferris wheel. The home was able to accommodate my family. My daughter was deployed in the Red Sea so she missed Thanksgiving, Christmas etc the kitchen was well equipped and I was able to make a Thanksgiving dinner no problem!

Bachelor/Bachelorette Weekend

This first floor property was very spacious. We booked this location for a combined bach party weekend. 12 people total stayed the weekend and there was enough room for everyone. Property was very communicative the week leading up to our stay. The location is very close to many amenities located in Balboa. The property was very clean and it is easily adjusted to accommodate as needed.

Amazing beach getaway

The property was wonderful. Its location is right on the boardwalk and sand and close to everything. Right from the beginning Shauntelle was a wonderful host. She communicated quickly and thoughtfully and took care of every need and issue. We will definitely come and stay again.

Waking up to the view of the ocean and enjoying coffee on the patio to enjoying the amazing sunset was truly magical. Our place at Newport Beach made for an unforgettable family trip! Our host Shauntelle made sure everything was perfect, including extra towels we requested. She even mailed us my wife’s earrings that were left behind. Going the extra mile made us realize we would stay here again without question!!

Our stay at Shauntelle’s beach house was nothing short of incredible. The moment we stepped inside, we were captivated by the stunning ocean views and the cozy, inviting atmosphere. The house itself was immaculate, with every detail thoughtfully considered. The spacious living area, well-equipped kitchen, and comfortable bedrooms made it the perfect place to relax and unwind. But what truly sets this place apart is its prime location. We spent our days lounging on the pristine beach, building sandcastles, and swimming in the crystal-clear waters. The evenings were equally magical, watching breathtaking sunsets from the deck. Shauntelle was an exceptional host, always available to answer any questions and provide helpful recommendations. V.I.P. Experience

I wanted to plan something special for my friend’s 60th birthday and when you work with someone as conscientious and accommodating as Shauntelle, you know you are in for a V.I.P. experience. She is first and foremost dedicated to ensure you have a wonderful stay at her property. And what a property it is! Not only is it beautiful and comfortable on the inside, it’s also in the perfect location. You are just steps to the beach where you can start your day with a hot cup of tea, fresh ocean air, and the sound of crashing waves. You can also walk to the many fun attractions, restaurants, and shops. We had a wonderful stay and created beautiful memories. I highly recommend Shauntelle and her property. I told my friend we could do it again when she turns 80!

Rare Find

Let me begin with the fabulous host, Shauntelle. She contacted me via email and checked in several times before our arrival. Shauntelle granted my request for an early check-in AND a late check-out! In addition to extra towels, blankets, etc., she also suggested additional items that my family could use, such as beach chairs, a canopy, and umbrellas. She's a mind reader! On the day of our arrival, Shauntelle video-called and explained, in detail, all the house's amenities. She was easy to get a hold of anytime and quick to respond. Regarding the VIP service my family received, we had only booked the bottom floor of the property; however, we ended up with both floors! We were celebrating my husband's 50th birthday, and my sister, brother-in-law, and baby showed up by surprise. They had booked a room in Laguna Beach, but because our family did not want them to leave, I asked Shauntelle if the upstairs was available. She called me immediately and offered the upstairs at no additional cost! We were so lucky that no one had booked the upstairs during our stay. Lastly, this house is beautiful, with breathtaking views from the upstairs balcony. It is right on the boardwalk and a few steps to the ocean, where you can hear the strong waves. This house is also conveniently located to shops, restaurants, and outdoor activity rentals. We cannot thank Shauntelle enough for giving my family one of the most memorable experiences of our lives. We plan to return and hopefully soon.

Bring Earplugs

This property is conveniently located just steps away from the beach and pier. The property manager, Shauntelle, was very helpful and resourceful. The only downside is you can hear every movement of the tenants on the upper level which can be very frustrating if you have young children that are light sleepers. I recommend bringing ear plugs so you can get some decent sleep.

Family vacation 2024

This has become an annual tradition of ours to rent out a large house somewhere in the driveable area. We live in the greater Los Angeles area and love the balboa peninsula. Our host was very accommodating to our needs and to the whole stay!! Our host was so kind and warm and welcoming. The location of our rental was in the most happening and hip part of Newport Beach. We rented bikes and surfboards and jet skis all within walking district to our host house. I would absolutely recommend renting this stay!!

Great Location, Attentive Host

The location of this VRBO is incredible, right across from the beach. Shauntelle, the owner, is very attentive and goes above and beyond to ensure her guests have a wonderful stay. Plus, there's a ton to do nearby, with plenty of bars, restaurants, and cafes to explore.

Family trip to Newport Beach

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at the beach house! Shauntelle was incredibly accommodating and made sure everything was perfect for our visit. The house itself was fantastic, with easy access to the beach, which made it simple to enjoy the beautiful weather. The location couldn’t be better, with friendly locals and close proximity to shops and restaurants. We truly enjoyed every moment and can’t wait to return! Highly recommend!

Awesome place and location

Everything was asa advertised +. The location was great right on the beach, our host Shauntelle was great, very easy to work with and super knowledgeable about the place and the location in general. She gave us great local tips and we had a great time. I highly recommend this place and Shauntelle for a great beach vacation!
