We had a wonderful time celebrating our daughter’s wedding in Rapid City. Our stay at The Barney House was very comfortable and was perfect for our family. The outside patio was a relaxing way to end our busy days. There was a slight misunderstanding and Cody handled the situation very well. When visiting RC we will definitely book the Barney house for our family.

This house served as the perfect jumping-off point for out trip. It is right in the historic district and close to downtown. We were able to get to Badlands NP, Crazy Horse Memorial, Custer State Park, and Mount Rushmore with ease. The house comfortably accommodated 11 people, including 2 small children. It looks like it has been redone recently; beautifully so, if that’s the case. If we have occasion to return, we will definitely try to stay here!

Perfect home for our multi-generation family

Our family of 10 enjoyed the home tremendously. I would recommend for anyone wanting a central location for South Dakota National Parks and monuments. It is convenient to shopping and attractions. Our host was superb and responded promptly and gave good details.

Perfect for us!

This house was a beautiful place to stay in downtown Rapid. The house was easy to find and had great parking for our larger vehicles. Fantastic kitchen with all of the things we needed to cook a meal as well! Would definitely stay here again!

Great location

Great location, walking distance to downtown. The house was clean and updated while still having charm. There was plenty of seating to host Christmas dinner. We enjoyed our stay.

Second Fabulous Visit

This is the second time my family has stayed at this wonderful property this year. We love the location and the great communication with Cody but are in love with this historic home! Cody has been prompt with all texts and questions and I have no problem recommending a stay here!

We enjoyed this property very much. It fit all of our needs, the host was attentive and quick to respond to our requests. It was conveniently located to downtown and restaurants. The kitchen had all updated appliances. I would recommend this property to anyone visiting Rapid City.

Great place to stay in Rapid City

We had a wonderful time at the Barney House. It is in a great location with easy access to highways. The house accommodated our large group and was well maintained with a nice yard and patio. The hosts were great at staying in touch and responsive.

We loved our stay in the Barney House--I was born and raised in Rapid and have since moved away, but I bring my family to visit almost every summer. This year, we were needing a place to stay to come celebrate my mother's 90th birthday. The Barney fulfilled all of our needs; it is a beautifully restored historic property with modern amenities and lots of available sleeping arrangements. All amenities listed are accurate & in immaculate condition. The hosts have done a great job updating the property while maintaining its integrity. Communication with the hosts was seamless. Great location, close to downtown, & offers a unique way to enjoy all Rapid has to offer. Great backyard: grill, seating, yard games, etc. Thanks to the hosts for helping us discover Rapid in a new way.

Amazing historic gem!

This house is absolutely wonderful! The hosts were easy to work with and really helpful. The home is walking distance to all of the downtown attractions and restaurants. Registered with the Historical Society and up-to-date with modern amenities and comforts... the perfect mix!
