Welcome to Barefoot on the Beach!


With enough space to sleep up to 15 guests, this 2nd row beach house is the perfect destination for large families or groups of friends looking to soak up the sun and surf.
The house features an inverted floor plan with an elevator, ensuring that all guests can easily access all levels of the home.
Barefoot on the Beach is less than a mile from OIB Town Center Park which makes it very convenient to enjoy all the fun activities sponsored by the town of OIB, including the popular summer concert series, outdoor movies and weekly farmers market. You are also just a short walk from the pier, mini-golf, restaurants and more.
There are 5 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms, providing ample space and privacy for all guests. Each of the 5 bedrooms has deck access, so you can wake up to the soothing sounds of the ocean and enjoy the fresh ocean breeze.
The house boasts 2 family rooms with large Smart TVs, a full size washer and dryer and wireless high speed internet throughout the home. Each bedroom is also equipped with smart TVs with Roku.
Take advantage of the gorgeous views of the ocean from the observation deck on the 3rd level. There are decks on the 1st and 2nd floors, perfect for lounging in the sun or enjoying a meal with friends and family.
The house also features a private pool with the ability to be heated during the cooler months, and outdoor shower with hot and cold water, perfect for rinsing off after a day at the beach.
For those who love to cook, the fully stocked kitchen comes complete with all appliances you may need. A gas grill is also available for outdoor cooking and dining.
The Resort club which is located directly across the street from your front door provides a beautiful pool house and pool, beach access and bathroom facilities available only to the residents and guests of the Resort neighborhood. The neighborhood also offers access to a crab pier with a beautiful view of the intercoastal waterway and the bridge.

Annual New Years Gathering

This was the 3rd year in a row our group stayed at Barefoot on the Beach for New Years. We found the property to be as expected, clean, beautifully decorated, supplied with everything we needed for cooking and serving group meals, convenient and well maintained. We have already booked for next year.

Great location and space.

We loved being right at the beach. So spacious and the older crew enjoyed the elevator (saved the knees) haha. Next time we will wait until later in the year to visit, it’s still very breezy and cool in April.

Great house & location

This was our 5th stay at this great beach house. House is always clean and the location to the beach is fantastic. The owners (new this year) are great to work with. This will always be our first choice when going to Ocean Isle.

Great vacation week.

Enjoyed our stay very much. One of the few vacation homes we have used where everything works. The location is fantastic. Every night the teenage boys were at the local basketball court for pickup games and the girls were at the ice cream shops. We had short drives to many golf courses and the access to the beach was great. Good time had by all.

Loved This House

The house was perfect for the 14 of us! It was incredibly well stocked, and the proximity to the clubhouse and beach was perfect. Everything was clean, and all the rooms were beautiful. Correspondence with the property owners was always timely and informative. We will definitely be back.

Beautiful OIB home

We love this house! We’ve been going to OIB for 10+ yrs now and need a 5 bedroom home, which can be hard to find. This house is clean and spacious. All the families loved the layout. I’m so glad we found Barefoot at the Beach! It’s perfect for all ages and the location is everything. We’ll definitely be staying there again in 2025.

Ocean Isle vacay 2024

Our first visit to Ocean Isle! We thought beach and location was great but we really hit the jackpot with this property! It was perfectly laid out to accommodate our large 3 generation group. Super convenient to the beach. Baby and beach gear most appreciated. Hosts were most attentive we have ever had and we have stayed at plenty of VRBO's. Would definitely stay here again. Thanks for helping us create great memories!

Family Vacation

This is an amazing beach house. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed for preparing meals and more. We liked the fact that each bedroom had its own bathroom. It is very spacious and beautify decorated. The veiw from the balcony was breathtaking. The pool was a great and enjoyed by all. We would definitely rent again.

Best beach vacation

The house was spacious for a family of 7 adults and 5 children. This was our 3rd year at “Barefoot on the Beach”. Our family enjoys the location and the pool was an added plus for the grandchildren. Lovely Coastal Home

Barefoot is just as pictured. The 5 bedrooms are disbursed on both floors, giving everyone their own space. The home is well equipped and had everything we needed. The beach access directly across the street was super convenient. Owners are great communicators- thanks for sharing your OIB home with us!

New Year at OIB

We are a church group of older people. The elevator was essential to our enjoyment. The place was very clean. With a lot of covered deck space, we were able to eat outside in the wonderfully warm weather. Owner response was very quick to any questions. We all enjoyed the good views of the ocean. The kitchen & pantry were well stocked. We plan to return again next year if the hosts will have us.

Great location and spacious home

We had a wonderful stay, spending time with friends in this home! There was more than enough room to accommodate our party of 5, and extra spacious with a second living area and multiple deck areas. It was great having a deck area that was fully enclosed since we traveled with a small child (under 2 years old). The kitchen and grill were well equipped and made a great location for cooking some local fresh fish! The beach was a short walk away, and views of the ocean from the balconies were wonderful during morning coffee. The home was exceptionally clean and check-in was a breeze! Although it was too chilly to enjoy the private pool, it looked like a wonderful area for entertaining children in between breaks to the beach. The gate to the pool was kid safe- access to the pool required two hands to open, and was tall, only accessible for adults to open. The cute, quaint town is within a mile walk and had a playground, arcade, area to get snacks. Super convenient grocery within a few miles, gas station, fresh seafood, etc. Our group greatly enjoyed our stay and have talked about wanting to return to this home for future vacationing!

Overall Wonderful

Location is perfect. Home is equipped even better than listed and better than expected. The amount of living space both indoor and out was really nice. We only had 6 in our group, but even with the maximum number of guests the home will sleep, I can't imagine feeling crowded. It was really nice to have large living spaces and multiple ones. It really is perfect for groups that want to both hang out and spend time together and to have space to get away as an individual, couple or small group. Communication and clarity on what and how related to the home and everything needed and expected was handled very professionally, and it was simple. We also were provided multiple points of contact in case of needs or problems. THE BEACH IS DIRECTLY ACROSS THE STREET! Wish our visit timing could have allowed for use of the house's private pool and/or the resort pool (which is directly across the street on you way to the beach). Lots of stairs, but the elevator made the luggage upon arrival and departure easy! And families with little ones worried about the stairs, they had child gates available for that. REALLY thoughtful in layout and in providing most everything you need to enjoy your stay! And, if you wonder if they do or don't have what you need, responsiveness in messaging leading up to our trip was stellar too, so don't wonder, just ask! WONDERFUL HOME AND WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE! We fell in love with Ocean Isle Beach when we first visited and knew we would love to own a home here. We are excited to share our home with our guests and hope they love OIB as much as we do. We love that Myrtle Beach is a short drive away and we can experience all that area has to offer, while enjoying the quieter, family-friendly beaches of OIB.

The views from this home immediately drew us in. The top observation deck has a view of the ocean and beach that we think is one of the best views in OIB. It is the perfect spot to start or end your day.
