Características: Se puede acceder al dormitorio de arriba con escaleras, hay dos lugares para dormir en la planta de abajo, el futón y el comedor se convierten en buenas camas. Lo mejor para un máximo de 4 adultos, o una pequeña familia. Sería muy pequeño para 6 adultos. No hay piscina, el océano es su piscina de borde infinito sin cloro. AC va a funcionar el 1 de febrero de 2011, hasta que los ventiladores en todas las habitaciones funcionan bien

Este es el bosque tropical seco, prácticamente no cae lluvia del 1 de diciembre al 1 de mayo, es seco, tiene una ligera brisa y pocos mosquitos. La temporada de lluvias es verde, las lluvias a veces, son más húmedas, pero siguen siendo muy agradables. Garantía de día lluvioso, cualquier día entre el 15 de diciembre y el 15 de abril que llueva por más de 15 minutos es reembolsable, se excluye la Semana de Navidad y Semana Santa.

We loved the little Casa, it had everything our family needed. It was close to town and the beaches nearby are so beautiful. The pictures of the view don’t even do it justice- it is breathtaking. Our host was kind and very accommodating. I do recommend a rental car to be able to get supplies and explore the area.

Our stay at the villa was perfect! It was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. The village of Potrero is a 15 min walk where we picked up groceries and stuff. People were friendly and we always felt safe. The beaches are walking distance and beautiful. We saw monkeys on the path one day!Back to the villa. Josefa next door was wonderful and helpful. We spent early mornings sipping coffee and then sunsets in the gazebo overlooking the ocean. It was magical. Lots of birds, including a woodpecker could be seen daily as well as a couple iguanas and geckos. Other than the sounds of nature and waves, it was very quiet. To say we had an amazing time is an understatement. We hope to be able to get back and stay here again. Thank you for letting us share your piece of paradise.

Everything is good and the view is truly spectacular but my main complaint is no AC on the first floor when it was 30c/86f. How can you sleep comfortably at that temperature? If it was a couple then it would be fine because upstairs sleep for 2 has AC. Put an AC downstairs then it would be great. I would not recommend it if it was more than 2 people.

Charming, private place with breathtaking view of the ocean and coastline.

Mesmerizing view, fully equipped kitchen, comfortable bed, friendly staff, good movie cd library. Great location; out of the way but town and perfect local beach within 15 minute walk.

Little villa on the hill

Cute little Villa on top of the bluff with amazing views of the pacific. The little town at the bottom has everything you need and thankfully not crowded. A white sand beach is a 2 to 3 minute drive from the villa and we had all to ourselves. We had a great time.

Poor instructions and communication with the host

If we were to follow the "manual" sent by the host we would never get to the place. However, the two employees (Josepha and Richard) were amazing. They helped us in all possible ways. Excellent people!

Sorry you had to deal with that confusion on finding the place . Latin America is not into naming streets , putting up signs and assigning house numbers . I will review my instructions and improve , One new thing is the first 200 meters of the road where the turn off is , is now paved . There was signs for Pacific Heights road but they disappeared when the roads were worked on . Thanks

Beautiful view! Very cozy.

We loved this house. It has a gorgeous view. We had access to a washer. There is a clothes line outside to dry the clothes. The clothes dried quickly as long as it didn’t rain. The air conditioning worked great upstairs. Like most Costa Rica rentals the air conditioning is just in the bedroom. Playa Conchal is our favorite beach. Not enough room to sleep 3 people comfortably, but perfect for a couple.

Amazing villa, great value

My husband and I had a fantastic week at this mini villa! It's private and quiet, but also just off the main road into the incredible little town of Potrero. It's a small space but perfect for a couple; you could manage with two kids as well. It's an older and quaint property, very cute and simple, has a full kitchen so you can make breakfast or snacks and coffee, etc. Bathroom was clean and shower water felt nice. I enjoyed eating breakfast in the kitchenette looking out onto the ocean. The real value in this property is the view! Incredible sunset views out into the Pacific. Property next door is 13 acres listed for $5.2 million - believe me, you'll be getting the same million-dollar-view at this place and it's more than worth it. Both private and convenient. Owner was happy to tell us the best little spots for beaches and his favorite places to eat in town, good communication over WhatsApp. 10 minutes away from 49km of singletrack trails to explore on foot or bike, dozens of beaches with different colored sand to choose from, beachside yoga. We had no issues. Know that the internet is slow, but it was slow everywhere we were; and also that adorable house geckos will run around and chirp at you like little birds. Some people complain about the short driveway, and it's a slight challenge but our tiny rental car navigated it just fine. Would stay here again and again, we will be recommending this place to our family and friends!

IT’S CHEAP and you get what you pay for. The view of the ocean sunset was great, but the other 23 hours a day? The grass/yard is dead because it’s so HOT, so you don’t want to be out in the yard. As to house amenities, there’s: 1) a washer but no dryer just a clothes line; 2) bed sheets, but NO blanket; 3) A/C in upstairs bedroom ONLY; 4) a hot shower that sprays you in the face no matter how you twist it (but I did use it to wash the many ants down the drain); 5) geckos climbing the walls IN the house (chasing the ants?); 6) Wi-Fi (as evidenced by Netflix since password from house manual didn’t work for us); 7) a “couch” i.e. a foam futon with no frame, so if 2 people sit, they’ll slide off (but it’s too hot downstairs to watch TV anyway). Just unpleasant: walls are dirty or raw drywall, with tacky notes written right on the walls, outlets, front door, etc. I got depressed staying in a slum house and left early. I would NOT call this a vacation home; in fact, I found it depressing and left early. While it’s livable (and maybe this is how ticos live) I couldn’t wait to get out of there. It’s also tough to find as VRBO map takes you to a coffee shop 1/4 mile away. A careful reading of house manual eventually solved the puzzle after no response from owner as to help on location. It’s up a rough dirt road (only feet away from house, so noisy/dusty), tires slip on steep driveway, and undercarriage will scrape. But it’s a place to lay your head, with a nice view of the ocean.

Great view and private Villa

My wife and I took our 6 year old son and our 2 girls 16 and 19 and we had a wonderful stay. The place is very private and has a wonderful view, and good internet. The kitchen was well equipped and had everything we needed. The girls loved the airconditioner in the upstairs bedroom. The table in the kitchen dropped into a bed, like a RV, and was very comfortable. The unpaved road could intimidate some drivers but our VW Nivus had no problem climbing the hill. We will stay again when we have the opportunity.

wifi was excellent. Refrigerator good. Bed comfortable. Bathrooms adequate. Unfortunately, until the owner takes care of the dust from the dirt road, immediately adjacent, like oiling it, I cannot recommend any long stays. The house was clean when I arrived, then immediately the dust started pouring in.

Great little get away

This was a wonderful little place to get away from the stresses of everyday life. My family and I spent 2 weeks here in February and loved every minute of it. We were a short walk from an almost private beach, with amazing waves and great swimming and the view from the back yards was breathtaking. The place it’s self was very clean and comfortable, with reliable hot water and internet. It felt like you were all alone in paradise with all the creature comforts one could want with just a short walk into town if you needed something. The only problem I have with writing a good review is that other people will want to stay there and the property will be booked the next time I go.
