Peaceful 3BR/2.5BA home, easy walk/bike to beach

Relax and enjoy fun in the sun at Emerald Isle beaches with the whole family at this comfortable 3BR(plus bonus room)/2.5BA cottage that is just a short 10-12 minute walk to the beach. Nestled on a quiet side street of the island, this simply decorated beach vacation rental is great for small groups who want a quiet getaway that is within walking/biking distance of beaches, restaurants, stores and even an ice cream shop.

~ 1600 sq ft of living space across 3 levels. This classic beach cottage is nestled on a quiet street in Emerald Isle. The home has everything you need to enjoy a classic beach vacation. Fully equipped kitchen, full-size washer/dryer, screened porch with television, 2 open decks with porch furniture, gas grill. You will also be within walking or biking distance to the beach (about 12 minutes), Emerald Woods (sound side park with kayak launch, picnic area, and bathrooms), restaurants, and shops.

GROUND LEVEL - Half bath, Second living room that can be used as a 4th bedroom and features a sleeper sofa. Large laundry room with a treadmill and clothes drying rack, perfect place to store your beach stuff. The garage and golf cart is for owner use only but guests are welcome to use the garage for entry to the ground level. Interior stairs lead up to the kitchen/living area.

FIRST FLOOR - Full kitchen for cooking family meals and a small pantry. Breakfast bar with two bar stools. Dining room table with four chairs. Open airy living room with plenty of seating and flat-screen TV. Bedroom 1: Master bedroom with a Queen bed, full bathroom (shower only), and large closet. Screened porch with a flat-screen TV for relaxing and open deck with seating and gas grill.

SECOND FLOOR - Stairs lead up from the living room. Shared full bathroom (shower/tub). Bedroom 2: Queen bed and private open balcony and a few chairs for relaxing. Bedroom 3: 2 Single beds and a closet with a few small kiddo toys guests are welcome to use. We just ask that you return them to that room/closet.

OUTSIDE: Enclosed outside shower for rinsing off sandy toes and beach equipment. There is also a Ring security camera on the exterior of the garage facing the driveway and street for guest security.

Access to the house is via the screened porch on the left side of the house, with a lock box hanging to the left of the entry door.

A nice place

This is generally a well cared-for property, The beds were comfortable, and the kitchen was well stocked. The downstairs bathroom was a bit cramped and outdated, but clean and functional. The living room was pretty spacious, with comfortable sofas. The screened-in porch could use a good cleaning. The exterior stairs and bannisters leading to the main floor are in pretty rough shape, and we got splinters holding on to the railing. This is a problem if you're trying to balance yourself while bringing up groceries. One other minor complaint is that the floor was a bit gritty/sandy. Otherwise, the house was very clean. The neighborhood is fine--there are more trees than in other parts of Emerald Isle, and the beach is within walking distance. there's a nice bike path leading to the Coast Guard station, and a small nature park with nice trails close by.

This was truly the perfect stay! I’ve been visiting Emerald Isle since childhood, but this experience topped them all. Being so close to the water with such a thoughtful and well-equipped setup made it incredibly special. Everything—from the seamless communication to the smooth check-in and check-out process—went above and beyond my expectations. It honestly exceeded my dreams!

Great Beach Vacation Home!

This is a great home in a good location. It's near many good restaurants, grocery stores, shopping...and only a short walk to the beach. The house is very comfortable and well equipped. The check-in process was easy. Communication and responsiveness with the owners is rated 10+. We highly recommend this beautiful beach home to others and would definitely like to stay there again!

Just Right

This house was just right for us, with the location of bedrooms and bathrooms. The view from the porch was nice because you're looking at woods. Everything we needed for cooking was there (except for pepper), and we really appreciated the beach equipment and wagon. The beach was a bit of a walk, but certainly doable, and we could drive to everything we wanted, from Publix to the Aquarium to a variety of restaurants.

Good Option for Shorter Summer Stay

This property worked well for our family. We love Emerald Isle. There aren’t a lot of rentals that rent for less than a week during the summers, so this was a great option for us, as we only had 3 days to spend in Emerald Isle. It would be nice if the property included a beach push cart with big wheels to push stuff to the beach in. It would be nice too if the rental included bicycles. Overall we would stay at this property again.
