The lush tropical landscaping, complete with fresh fruit trees, adds to the idyllic setting that is sure to make you feel right at home.

Ideal for families with older children or couples, the Ohana (guest house) is connected to the main house by a lanai (porch). It offers a separate living area complete with its own kitchenette, bathroom, and private lanai. Additionally, the large main bedroom is a peaceful workspace with a desk, printer, and monitor, perfect for those who need to catch up on work.

Location-wise, this cottage is the ultimate getaway, with Kahaluu Beach Park just half a mile away, offering excellent snorkeling and surfing opportunities. The Magic Sand Beach, only 0.7 miles away, features a white sand beach to swim and boogie board. Additionally, the property is conveniently located just 4 miles from downtown Kailua Kona, where you can find a variety of restaurants, shops, and activities to keep you entertained. Keauhou Shopping Center is 1 1/2 miles away, where you can find groceries, restaurants, coffee, and a farmers' market every Saturday morning.

Wonderful property with the sounds of nature and beautiful landscape surrounding the area. Convenient location. Very clean and unique. Has everything you need to enjoy your stay on the Big Island.

Tropical Paradise

What a wonderful way to end 2023! From the first contact with owners until we left we were checked on and made sure that all was going well. The house and the property was just like the pictures except better! The tropical landscaping was amazing and the outdoor living spaces (lanais) were spacious, well appointed, and had very nice breezes day and night. The house was extremely well maintained and the kitchen had everything we needed. Grilling our fresh fish on the back lanai on a chef quality grill was delightful! And watching sunsets from the small beach directly across the street was amazing. We will be back!

PERFECTION!

Without a doubt, the most beautiful place we have ever stayed. The location of this home can't be beat. You're literally steps (across the street) from the ocean and breathtaking sunsets. The home is tastefully decorated with island themes throughout. The main house is spacious, and the ohana is perfect if you're traveling with older kids, grandparents or another couple ... both fully stocked with anything you might need during a stay. And super important to us is a comfortable night's sleep. The mattress and linens were amazing! The outdoor space ... WOW! From the lanai to the landscaping, you'll want to spend as much time soaking up the sunshine and island breezes as you can. This place has been thoughtfully prepared for you to have an amazing time on the big island. Thank you, Lois and Dan, for a stay we'll never ever forget. My next trip to Hawaii will definitely be spent at Surfside Temple!

Our first trip to the Big Island was approximately ten years ago, and it was love at first sight. We were captivated by the island's natural beauty, diverse landscapes - from tropical forests to stunning (black, green, and white sand) beaches, and the overall welcoming aloha spirit.

We are passionate about our home and are thrilled to share it with others until we can call it our full-time residence when our youngest graduates from college. It brings us great joy to provide a comfortable and relaxing environment for our family and guests alike. As hosts, our goal is to ensure that your stay at Surf Temple and on the Big Island is nothing short of unforgettable.

For those who love swimming, Magic Sands Beach - a white sand beach - is less than a mile away. Our proximity to downtown, only four miles away, makes it easy for guests to explore the local area. If you need to stock up on groceries, the nearest store is just one mile away.
