Surprise vacation for my boyfriend. Our first in 17 years

It was wonderful but there was no beach at all as advertised. It literally was gone. There were sandbags in its place. Also, the Wi-Fi never worked. We called 3 times and left a message but no one ever called us back. I would have liked to have had a pair of scissors in the kitchen. There was a sliding glass door that opened to the terrace and it was almost impossible to get open. We are in our 50s and could get it but if it had been my parents, they could have never gotten it open. It was metal and super heavy. I’m not sure if it was off its track or just needed greasing but it was really hard to open. We did have a great time and loved the location. The weather was spectacular! We are super sad to leave

View from room spectacular

Very comfortable and bright. View of ocean and whales was throughly enjoyed. The only issue was the shower entrance is a little tight to get in if you are of larger size.

Overall the condo was OK. But, the fridge kept making noise like a fan was rubbing on metal and the door looked like the finish had been rubbed off.

Vacation

We enjoyed our stay. The whales were fun to watch from the Lani (Don't forget you binoculars ). The condo was a perfect place to land, as we explored and enjoyed Maui.

Simply FANTASTIC

Our first trip to Hawaii, we figured HAWAII! Enough said, where we stay is not important. We found this property and it looked fresh and pretty in the listing, and it was in the area we were wanting. Upon arrival, we were surprised it was even better than we’d hoped. Exactly as pictured with the most beautiful view of the ocean. We found out later that this area is perfect for couples who want relaxation and quiet over parties and all-night-long noise. It was sparkling clean and had everything we needed. We enjoyed being able to wash and dry our towels at the end of the day right inside our room. Such a great shower too with cute little turtle tiles! We HIGHLY recommend a stay here!

Very dumpy room for the high price I paid.

The view from the picture does not show the eye sore of adjacent roof top. Maintenance issue of carpet tacks poking bottom of feet. Contacted vrbo and got no communication back. Came home to find someone entered my room with out notice. The recliner material is cracked, very unhygienic. Half of living space is taken up by owners locked storage trunk. Half the closest is locked, so The only closet space to hang your nice clothes has dirty vacuum, broom/dust pan and step stool that you have to use to see the top of the washing machine dials. Shower opening is fixed at about 18 inches. If you are a large person, you cannot get into shower. Sliding glass door to patio barely moves in the track, very hard to open and close it. Bed is a 4" foam pad on 2 box springs. Refrigerator front is dirty. Kitchen faucet doesn't stay in holder. For the amount paid per night the owners can afford some updates. Building shut off water for 3 hours with NO NOTICE so we were unable to shower that day before planned excursions. I would definitely not recommend this unit.

Lovely Oceanview Room

Everything was nicely appointed, with a complete kitchen set up and very comfortable California King bed. The view from the deck was amazing! Because it was not on the sunny side we never had to turn on the AC. We simply enjoyed the cool ocean breezes. .

It was an ok experience

Overall not a bad place, if you want to save money. The bed was comfy, the views are amazing, the recliners have to go, they take up to much space. Trash can really needs to be replaces not a good one. Our bedding stunk like dog, we had to re-wash everything, that was something I was not to happy to do on my vacation. Suggestions, it would be nice to put instructions on washer and dryer, that would prolong the life of the appliances.

Great location

This location is great! We saw beautiful sunsets, rainbows, many turtles and even a pod of dolphins. Plus, Lahaina, Kaanapali and Kapalua are very close so getting food ans shopping were convenient.

Beautiful Spot for Honeymoon

My husband and I just spent our honeymoon here and absolutely loved it! The room has a stunning ocean view and the beach is perfect for watching sunsets. Kitchenette was perfect for the nights we cooked, large shower, large bed, closet has a safe, washer and dryer in unit. The location is perfect, too. It’s right along the bus route (registering our rental car with the property was easy, too), plenty of restaurants, close to market and to farmer’s market, close to Lahaina and activities.

Kahana Vacation Condo

Excellent location as it is 15-20 mins from Lahaina, Napili, and Kapalua bay! Was slightly disappointed that there was no jacuzzi and that we had to take our garbage out to end our vacation but that was okay- regardless. The parking was tricky but we always managed to find a spot with our rental car and the parking fee was only $10/day. The VRBO was beautiful, we saw turtles from our balcony every morning, there was complementary coffee down in the lobby and I would definitely stay there again. The unit is on the 11th floor. Def a great spot!

Do not stay

Property was unacceptable dirty upon arriving. My husband and I found wet dirty underwear in the washer upon arriving. There was mold on the washer ring. I tried to run a self clean cycle to help but it did not help. The dryer lint had not been cleaned out for a long time and there was sand in it. Carpet tiles were coming up. Condo felt extremely cramped for there was too much furniture and nowhere for my husband and I to even open our luggage. You have to pay $10 a night for parking as well for this horrible place. I'm sure there would be more stuff to find wrong with this condo if I looked but my husband and I booked another place to stay just shortly after arriving to this condo and seeing the conditions. The only positive is that the manager was able to refund all of the nights except our initial arrival day.

Awesome location.

A bit run down, carpet’s and drapes were ripped and need replacing. Ant problems from day 1, it was really strange, but our paper towels were full of ants. Condo was too full of other stuff, needs a good clean-out. Could barely walk around. Overall, we did have a wonderful time, loved the ocean view and hearing the waves at night. Nice place with washer, dryer & full kitchen. The pool there is also wonderful. We would definitely stay here again.

Overall Great Place

Couldn’t beat the place for the amenities with a dishwasher, full size washer and dryer in the unit, rain fall shower head, pool, baroque area. And being able to sit on the balcony and watch the sunset, wow. Only downside was the carpet squares that need replaced, but it looks like they are preparatory replace those and the lower price reflects this condition. Overall a great place and I would definitely stay again.

The property was nice overall. Didn't really spend a lot of time in the condo but the bed was soft and the room was clean.

Royal Kahana 1104

The value and view are going to be hard to beat. The view was amazing and the area is quiet and nice. I do have a couple complaints about the room though. The room has 6 chairs, 2 of which are big ugly old recliners. 6 people in the room would be a disaster, please get rid of the green chairs. The carpet is also gross. For a room that asks that shoes are removed, i would expect welcome flooring. The last complaint was the ants. It's an older building in a tropical climate so I would expect bugs. I wouldn't expect to be invaded by ants that get into our food though. That was unfortunate. For the value and being my first time in Maui, I was happy, but i think i would choose another location for my next trip.

Beautiful views/Worn conto

Room was very clean, with beautiful views, great whale watching, conveniently located. Comfy bed. The only issue we had with this unit was it extremely and I do mean extremely worn carpet. I almost was afraid to takeoff my shoes as it was that bad. The unit was a little cluttered but you could definitely get around. Needed a little bit more area for suitcases, but really was a comfortable unit except for the awful carpet.

Now what was promised

Great location and stay

We had a nice stay for a week. It was quiet, safe, and comfy. There is a lot of furniture in the small space and lighter storage for your things. There wasn’t as much room in the closet or bathroom as I’d prefer. I would certainly book again.

Great view but crowded

Pros: The view off the lanai was spectacular and we even saw turtles swimming along the shore while having breakfast one morning. Listening to the waves crash while sleeping in the comfy bed was amazing. We had everything we needed. Cons: The room wasn’t very big and the large leather recliners that were packed in there were unnecessary and took up much needed space. There was also very little room for hanging your clothes and storing your toiletries in the bathroom. The place could definitely use some editing to remove all the extra stuff and make room for guests.
