Hermosa casa de Wine Country en poco menos de un acre de tierra, Hobby Vineyard, con una gran piscina salina y un jacuzzi de piedra elevado que fluye hacia la piscina. Casa Sonoma está a 5 minutos al noroeste de la plaza Sonoma hacia las bodegas del valle de Sonoma. Napa está a 20 minutos. La casa es una casa estilo rancho actualizada, 1800sf. Pisos de madera, chimenea, molduras de techo, cocina abierta con encimeras de granito y electrodomésticos de acero inoxidable. La casa tiene tres habitaciones. El dormitorio principal tiene una cama Queen Size y los dos dormitorios restantes también tienen una cama Queen-Size. El dormitorio principal tiene un baño privado que incluye: bañera de hidromasaje para dos, ducha y baño privado. Las otras dos habitaciones comparten un baño completo en el pasillo. TV de pantalla plana de alta definición, cable, estéreo e Internet de alta velocidad.
Este no es un alquiler típico; casa muy elegante, y muchos invitados habituales. Patio muy privado sin vecinos cercanos. Este no es nuestro hogar principal, por lo que NO verá ningún artículo personal en la casa.

Sonoma Vacation

The property was beautiful just like in the pictures. The pool was the highlight, especially for the kids. Temperature was perfect. A very comfortable space for a little rest and relaxation. Thank you!

Fabulous Property

Casa Sonoma is incredible. Ideally located in Sonoma (the "quiet" part of wine country) near wineries and the Sonoma Plaza with its shopping, wine tasting rooms and great restaurants (El Dorado Kitchen, The Girl and the Fig, Swiss Hotel, Oso to name a few). House is beautifully furnished, unbelievably clean and comfortable. We had incredibly warm October weather (80+ degrees) so made great use of the patio, hot tub and deck seating. Plenty of grass area for games, nice BBQ, fire pit and seating, hammock plus another little table and chairs seating area outside of one of the bedrooms. Large property and landscaping is beautiful considering California's extreme drought. Went for a girls' week. Would definitely work for 3 couples. Highly, highly recommend this property. Can't wait to rent again!

Great Location, Just as Pictured

My sisters and I really enjoyed our stay! The location was perfect and the house clean with everything we needed for a four day vacation in wine country. I was a little surprised that the house was on a fairly busy intersection, however, evenings are very quiet and we had no trouble sleeping. I would absolutely stay here again.

Comfortable and Clean, Great Outdoor Space

We really enjoyed our stay at Casa Sonoma, it's in a very convenient location to both Sonoma and Glen Ellen, and state parks close by. The inside of the house is clean and comfortable, and we we really enjoyed being outside by the pool and in the shaded back deck seating area. Tom, the host, was responsive and helpful with questions.

Power Outage Gettaway

During the crazy bay-area power outages (fires) we sought a place with power. Ours was scheduled to be out in the Oakland area. Mgmt was very responsive and proactive in communication as we tried to urgently figure out if this house would have power or not. They were extremely accommodating.

If you're eyeing this property because you'd like a well heated pool, think again. I spoke with the owner and we agreed that I'd pay the heating costs and manage the temperature on my end. He agreed, I sent a deposit to cover costs, he unlocked the pool heater remotely. The heated pool was the main factor in my decision to stay at Casa Sonoma by myself during the pandemic. As a pool enthusiast, I know the equipment and how long a pool of that size needs to reach 80F, the default setting for most pools, so I turned it on Friday morning. By Saturday noon it was a perfect 89F. Then the landscaper came and instead of me enjoying the pool I waited for him to mow the lawn then use a blower which covered the pool in debris. There wasn’t a functional pool net. I turned the pool heater off Saturday evening, on Sunday morning, off Sunday evening. An 80F pool is ideal for intense exercise and swimming laps and maybe hot summer days, but if you want to lounge the recommended temp is 86-92. Google it. On Monday I set the heater to 90F but after a couple hours it wasn't heating and was set back to 82F. Hmm. The owner texted he was getting a warning that the pool is going above 82F and that can 'overload the system'. He said I had 'tripped the safety switch' and the system isn’t 'rated to go higher than 82F without risking damage to the equipment'. If you know anything about pools there are some problems with this interaction. The Jandy Jxi pool heater there is designed to operate continuously and heats water at 104F while on. It doesn’t run hotter or colder to heat the pool or spa to a temperature, it only runs less or longer. There isn’t a safety switch and the warning was an app notification because I set the pool temperature higher than the owner’s preference. There also isn’t 'overload' from heating the pool 12F less than the owner's preferred 102F spa setting. I was never told & it’s not written in the listing, contract, or stay guide, that there is an arbitrary 82F owner remotely enforced maximum pool temperature. The owner misrepresented his preference as being the maximum for the equipment and being safety or equipment related and reneged on our agreement after I'd paid and was halfway through the trip. Luckily he allowed me to set the Nest thermostat and hot tub to my preferred temperatures. I paid the gas bill in full after the trip. I expect honest and clear communication from property managers and I didn't get either.

Dear Mr. Dover: Thank you for your 4 star review of the property. With regards to your 2 star review of the property management, we sincerely apologize for any misunderstanding. As reflected in the property description, the pool is NOT heated. Although the heater is meant for the hot tub, we can occasionally make the exception to heat the pool for a limited time up to 82 degrees max per the recommendation of the heater installer. We should have been more clear on this before your arrival. Given the fact you wanted to heat the pool to 95 degrees, we offered you a complete refund of your stay with a week remaining in your visit. You chose to stay and in fact praised the property for how beautiful and clean it was upon check-in. With regards to the gardener and debris in the pool, we had the gardener quit early when you called so you could enjoy the pool. We immediately called the pool maintenance company to both clean the pool and replace the pool net. You were grateful for our quick response. As reflected in our 42-Five and Four Star reviews, we take our guests enjoyment and satisfaction very seriously. Although we can't heat the pool to 95 degrees, we welcome your return in the future in hopes you have a more enjoyable experience. Sincerely, Casa Sonoma Tom

Gorgeous Yard and Sparkling Clean

My family had a wonderful stay at this beautiful home. The yard is huge and lovely with a fruiting date palm, big pool and hot tub under the stars. We loved starting and ending our day outside looking at the trees, birds and stars. The house is spacious and clean and the location is convenient for walks in Jack London state park or a regional reserve, as well as picking up groceries at Glen Ellen market or takeout from the many great restaurants minutes away. The host is helpful and responsive. Thanks for your great hospitality!

Fantastic Homeowner!

Our family truly enjoyed our stay at Tom's property. It is well appointed throughout the whole house (kitchen utensils, spices, towels, paper products, sheets, etc.). The house, although not huge, is well laid out and fully functional. Our two children loved the pool but the grounds were amazing as well. The lawn is large and there is an area with paths and plants that made the kids feel like they were out in nature. Beyond the property, working with the homeowner (Tom) was an absolute delight! We booked for 5 days in September and were worried about the recent fires. He kept us up-to-date on current conditions and was willing to work with us if the situation changed. The only thing I want to point out is the property sits on a corner and one of the roads is high traffic. There was some street noise but it didn't detract from our enjoyment of the property. We just used the outdoor speakers on the porch to lessen the impact. Even so, we would come back in a heartbeat!

Great Thanksgiving getaway

We loved Casa Sonoma. It is a comfortable, well appointed property with beautiful grounds. Unfortunately for us, but not for Sonoma, it rained for most of our stay. So we couldn't enjoy the pool, yard and patio as we'd hoped. Tom was responsive to our questions and even got a crockpot and roasting pan for our Thanksgiving turkey. We will be back!

House was very comfortable and centrally located in Sonoma, just a few miles from town. owner was great and responded whenever we needed anything. 3 couples fit comfortably in this 3 bedroom, 2 bath house. Backyard was very large with pool and hot tub, would be great summer get a way! fire pit added a fun night after wine tasting all day! would highly recommend!

Great house with wonderful outdoor spaces close to Sonoma square

What a terrific place! Tom was unusually responsive and helpful. The house is about a 10 minute drive into town. The kitchen is well equipped, the bedrooms and living room very comfortable. All amenities are of high quality. The highlight for us was the beautiful yard with pool and hot tub. There was a little noise from the street but that did not prevent us from spending lots of time relaxing outside. We may choose to vacation in Sonoma again just to stay in this perfect spot!
