Unwind at the stunning Fischer's Getaway Cottage. The house was lovingly remodeled in 2022 and sleeps 6. The vintage details were kept for a luxurious, yet charming feel. The lake front property is located off Duck Lake in Gobles, MI. Shops and restaurants are only a 20-minute drive, so the area feels peaceful and secluded. It is close to snowmobile, hiking, and biking trails. Only 20 minutes from downtown South Haven and 45 minutes from Grand Haven! Amenities include lake front property, boat launch nearby, firepit, gas grill, large outdoor shower, stocked kitchen with seasonings, spices, coffee maker, air fryer, all bed linens, toiletry items and more! Unfortunately, NO pets are allowed.

We had an excellent stay at Fischer’s Getaway. The cottage was beautiful and was stocked with anything you may need. Enjoyed sitting on the deck and watching the boats and the wildlife and the gorgeous sunsets. Definitely recommend this rental. Thanks Jessica

Toxic Algae Blooms

I wish I could leave a positive review, but I need to share an important safety concern. The evening we returned home, I discovered that a toxic algae bloom had recently been confirmed in the lake (days before we arrived). I verified this with the Allegan County Health Department and included screenshots from the local Facebook group. My young children swam in the lake during our stay, unaware of the health risks. I was devastated to learn after the fact that the water may have been unsafe. Further research revealed that this lake has had multiple toxic blooms in 2024, including a community-led effort to fund water testing (see additional screenshots).The Allegan County Health Department advised me that while they do notify Lake Associations, they do not have the resources to notify individual homeowners or renters. I’ve never left a negative review, but families deserve to know this risk before choosing to swim or rent here.

The beach, the beach, the beach!Lots of water toys and everything you need. Cottage is very well stocked.The only improvement needed is new bed linens and more comfy beds. But that would just make it perfection! Will come back!

We had a fantastic long weekend stay at the cottage! The indoor space was clean and had everything we needed and more. The outdoor space was incredible with the sandy beach, firepit, and deck. We enjoyed the lily pad in the water, paddle boards, playing in the sand and the beautiful view! We also loved the short drive to South Haven and other surrounding towns for food and things to do. Definitely worth visiting!

Great spot for summer vacation

This is our second time here, we love it so much! The beach is so fun especially with the new lily pad to play on. We love eating on the deck every night and the kitchen is well stocked with pots pans and spices. Great place!

Great Lake house

There was everything we needed. The lake did get a little busy starting Friday which made it harder for our teens to paddle board, but this is not the owner’s fault obviously. Jess was very quick to answer questions. Would stay here again.

Perfect family getaway

Our family absolutly enjoyed every moment staying at this cozy lake getaway. Both my kids ages 7 & 3 stayed occupied (electronics free) with fun toys inside and out. Every detail of the house was perfect and homey. We are already looking forward to returning next summer.

Great family trip

Our family of two adults and two young kids loved this house! Being able to go straight out to the beach whenever we wanted and eat outside was so great! Easy drive in to south haven too.

Michigan Lake Home Getaway

My wife and I took our three grandchildren to this lake home. We thoroughly enjoyed the lake, the beach, the paddleboat, fishing, the paddle boards, and a day trip to Lake Michigan. We had a great time and made lots of memories!

Great getaway on a beautiful lake!

The property is so cute! On a peaceful lake and had all the amenities: a sandy beach, toys for the kids, paddle boat, kayaks, etc. We loved hanging outside on the deck and relaxing in the swing while watching our kids play. The updated interior made it such a comfortable and peaceful stay. It’s not a big house, but the owners have maximized the space in the perfect way. We enjoyed relaxing in the living room with the fireplace and beautiful views of the lake. Loved every minute of our weekend stay!

Perfect lake getaway

This is a great little lake house! You walk out the back door and you’re at the lake! Paddleboats, paddle boards, sand toys all available. The house is super comfy with everything you need in the kitchen. Thank you for the fun time!

Hidden Gem

It was an excellent weekend away, perfect for relaxing and spending time with our small kids on the beach. We really enjoyed all of the amenities available, this stay has everything you need.
