Pintoresco Cedar Shake Cottage. Impresionantes vistas del lago Maple.

Bienvenido a nuestra escapada Paw Paw. Nuestra familia ha disfrutado de la pata durante décadas y ha decidido compartir esa alegría con los demás.

Escondido más allá de la presa encontrará la Paw Paw Cottage. Un pintoresco batido de cedro de 2 dormitorios, 1 baño casa de campo con un gran patio y muelle. Esta cabaña es perfecta para una familia pequeña o una pareja que solo quiere escaparse y relajarse. Las impresionantes vistas del amanecer sobre el lago Maple perforan las ventanas orientadas al oeste. El vapor se eleva desde el lago cuando el Blue Heron hace su habitual parada de pesca al final del muelle. Los pescadores de la mañana se desplazan a lo largo del borde del lago y desaparecen en la cala. Disfrutar de una taza de café recién hecho mientras disfruta de todas las vistas es simplemente alegre.

Para el alma aventurera hay 2 tablas de paddle de diferentes longitudes en el garaje. Son muy fáciles de usar y proporcionarán un momento divertido y relajante en el agua. No te olvides de remar hasta la isla y caminar por la orilla arenosa.

Cerca tenemos el famoso St. Bodega Julian. Una tradición familiar que se remonta a muchas décadas. Yo recomendaría un recorrido. ¡Y una cata de vinos! :)

 A poco más de 30 minutos se encuentra la ciudad de South Haven. Una de las ciudades costeras más bellas de todo Michigan. ¡Muy recomendable!

Y siempre puede visitar un puesto de productos frescos o una granja de arándanos.

We had a nice stay at this cottage. It had everything we needed for a comfortable vacation. It really is just a few steps from the lake. We were delighted to have kayaks there available for our use. We had a great blue heron, a family of 5 swans, and a cormorant visit our dock. We enjoyed hiking in some nearby nature preserves, and took day trips to South Haven and Holland. The smart TVs were nice for evening relaxing. Overall a nice spot for an enjoyable vacation.

The view is amazing. You will definitely enjoy your coffee in the morning. Sitting on the deck is just so relaxing and enjoyable.Our host was very responsive. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Very comfortable. Great yard for entertaining.

We loved our second stay at this house. It’s always a relaxing time, just sitting by the water, paddle boarding, kayaking, fishing and swimming. We couldn’t keep our water-loving dog out of the lake! We had everything we needed to cook dinner and breakfast each day, and watched movies as a family each night. My two cautions are that the main bed is small and not very comfortable, and the shower water pressure is pretty low. But this home really is a deal for all it offers.

Gorgeous View

The size of the cottage was perfect for our family (4 people and 1 small dog). We loved the view of the lake from the dining room and living room. There are plenty of things to do around the cottage or within a short drive. We especially loved the kayaks, paddle boards and raft available to use. Overall we had a great time and will keep this cottage in mind for future trips!

Charming cottage. You can tell this cottage is loved and well cared for. You could see the updates. I was impressed with all the supplies they gave you to start off. Usually you might get 1tp roll and 1 paper towel roll, no soap. Amenties included 2 kayaks, 2 paddleboards, inflated boat, float pad thingy, fishing pole, charcoal bbq, fire pit, beach towels. Centrally located to tons of towns- holland, south haven, st joseph, Kalamazoo, etc.... honestly, though if you just want low key and no crowds, you have everything right at the cottage. My husband and son caught tons of bass. 4 were over 3 lbs. They caught couple fish a day. Fenced yard on 2 sides. Our bulldog was able to enjoy being outside with us! Quick and easy communication with Bart. Highly recommend!!!

A real gem on Maple Lake

We have stayed on maple lake a few times before but I have to say that Bart's place was the best, it is very clean relaxing and beautifully decorated and the view of the lake is the best..My favorite time was taking my coffee on the deck early in the morning and watching the sun come up. Bart and his family are very blessed to have such a beautiful place and I hope we can come back.

Great time!

As usual, we had a wonderful time at this lovely cottage. Bart was very responsive as usual too. We love that he put a ladder going into the water--it helps alot (also it was my favorite place to drink my morning coffee.) We didn't go fishing but saw a lot of fish popping out of the water. You Looking forward to going back again next year!!!

Sweet Paw Paw cabin

We spent a wonderful week in this charming lakefront cottage and loved every minute. Sweet cabin with everything you need, beautiful view overlooking the water, even several swans. Great fishing from the dock, water is clean and clear. Fabulous host reached out when storms were expected to make sure we didn't need anything. We would love to stay again, even our dog would give it 5 stars!

Peaceful Cottage

My husband and I loved staying at this cottage for Memorial weekend with our dog Buddy. It was so cute and peaceful there. The fishing was great and the views were amazing. The neighbors were very friendly and we had such a wonderful time. We would love to come back and visit in the future.

Mother's day weekend at the lake!

Beautiful property with all the amenities! This home is clean, comfortable & meets every need. The deck is fantastic with an outstanding view of the lake! We were lucky to have perfect weather & spend most all our time outdoors, but if not there were movies, games, puzzles & a large dining table to gather indoors. Friendly neighbors & a great town. Plenty of great restaurants nearby & wineries too!

Fantastic Cottage by the Lake

This is an amazing little cottage on the lake! I could not believe how quiet and peaceful it was there! The cottage matched the listing to the T and was very clean and comfortable. My only regret is that I had to work so much during my stay I had very little time to relax in this amazing oasis!

Amazing Stay

Staying at Bart’s place was an incredible experience. The location is absolutely beautiful, right next to the lake — peaceful, scenic, and perfect for a relaxing getaway. The place itself was spotless, cozy, and even better than we expected. Bart is a truly wonderful host; he’s thoughtful, kind, and genuinely cares about making sure you have the best stay possible. I can’t recommend his place enough and would definitely love to come back!

Excelent Host/Excellent Accommodations

This is an excellent place to stay! The cottage was very clean and well-supplied with everything I needed. Property and local information was readily available and in plain sight. There are movies and books also available for enjoying. I was there during a snow storm, and the drive and walks were all cleared early in the morning. Even the neighbors are friendly here!

We enjoyed our stay at the cottage with the wonderful view of the lake. Quiet and peaceful just minutes away from wineries, breweries and restaurants. The cottage was cozy for us and the dogs, while we had snow during our stay would be a great place to come during the summer.

Cottage in Paw Paw

The property was just as described! What quaint cottage with beautiful views of Maple Lake. It had everything that we needed. It was very thoughtfully appointed and even included everything for our furry friend! Simple, clean and comfortable! The location was also great as we went sightseeing to nearby South Haven and Holland. The Kal-Haven trail was just up the road so we had a nice walk. What a great place!

Great visit with family

This was our 3rd stay at this cottage. Really enjoyed the upgrades since our last stay. New deck and slider door, new smart TV’s, new washer and dryer and new couch and chair. Love the fact that this property is pet friendly! We have family in the area so this location was perfect for our visit with them!

Family Vacation 2024

We enjoyed our time at the cabin on the lake. The kids enjoyed swimming off the dock, and the adults enjoyed kayaking out to go fishing.

Hi there!

This cedar cottage on Maple Lake has been in our family for decades and is the place where we’ve made countless memories – summer days kayaking to the island, fall evenings around the fire pit, and cozy winter weekends watching the snow fall over the water.

We’ve loved every minute of it, and a few years ago we decided it was too special to keep all to ourselves. We opened it up so other families (and their dogs!) can come make their own Paw Paw traditions.

We promise to keep everything clean, comfortable, and stocked with the little things that make a lake vacation perfect (and plenty of water toys!).

We still use the cottage ourselves a few weeks a year, so we treat it exactly like our own home – because it is. We hope you’ll feel the same way the moment you pull the kayaks out of the garage or watch the afternoon sun sparkle on the lake from the dock.

Can’t wait to share it with you!

There is so much to do in every season! Skiing, boating, fishing, paddle boarding, snow skiing, mountain biking, going to South Haven beaches/restaurants. This cottage has a special place in our heart and we hope you enjoy it as much as we do.

We have the best view on the lake and a garage full of fun water toys! Paw Paw has 2 amazing wineries as well as some of the best snow skiing in southern Michigan only 15 minutes away!
