A We chose Stock Cottage for several reasons: close proximity to family, pet friendly, one level house, and their cancellation policy. The owner was quick to respond to all communications, gave detailed instructions for entering the house and provided a phone number in case we needed anything during our stay. The home was very clean, well taken care of and has all the kitchen items needed to cook and serve a meal. The small dining table has two stools but they also provide TV trays located in the entry closet. The living room furniture and beds are extremely comfortable. Stock Cottage is located on a quiet dead end road. We saw several deer and even discovered a hiking, biking trail at the end of the road that connects to the University:). We thoroughly enjoyed this vrbo and will definitely stay here again anytime we return to Chattanooga to visit family

I really should have given this stay a 5 star. Probably the cleanest VRBO we have stayed at. Had a small problem with sink not draining but am sure the Home owners will remedy this immediately. Great Location for Ball Tournaments. Safe area.Thank You.

Home was 5 star

The only complaint I can find is no potato peeler other than that we had a very nice stay. Beds were comfortable and house was very clean . Parking was no problem we had two cars and there was enough room. We had a little trouble getting to house but owner answered the phone right away and that was solved. Would stay there again

Worked for us

We stayed here to visit and help family in the area. No extras ( except for the Little Debbie’s) but it was clean and efficient.

Exactly what we needed

Nice 2BR 2B. Spacious bedrooms, nice size bathrooms, kitchen was well stocked…including a Ninja for smoothies, etc. Especially liked the shower with a seat. Living room included a fantastic oversized recliner & big screen Google TV. The host was great. They provided snacks & coffee. Asked for a folding table/chairs and he found one for us. Would definitely stay again.

Great place to stay

The house was cozy- perfect for our stay while visiting family in the area!! It fit all our needs and was easily accessible to all the surrounding amenities! The 2nd bathroom area was a very nice addition!

The property overall was acceptable. We would have considered the amount we paid a fair value.However, while driving back to Orlando we received the first of @ 15 messages from the hosts stating that we had brought a pet and failed to pay the required pet fee. We responded that we have a cat, the unit was advertised as pet friendly, and the listing made no mention of a pet fee. We were told that when we registered we were required to disclose the number of pets and the pet fee would than be assessed. We responded that we did not recall seeing such question, we would check when we got home, and would pay if owed. When we got home, we checked. We had accessed the hosts' listing thru the Expedia website (Expedia owns VRBO) using our "one-key" account. The registration page we were presented did NOT ask about pets. (Apparently, if you reserve the property thru VRBO's site/app your reservation page asks about pets, and then the pet fee is disclosed). We told the hosts' of this fact, and refused to pay. They threaten to "escalate" the matter and we received a bill from VRBO claiming an overdue pet fee. As a result, we spent an hour on the phone with VRBO comparing the reservation forms, and thereafter receiving an email from VRBO stating that we have No obligation to pay. The hosts' are unable or unwilling to accept these facts, instead they apparently believe that my wife and I are base liars, willing to make up entire stories just to cheat them out of a few bucks.

Nice for a quick stay

It is close to several restaurants and a nice drive to Chattanooga. There were some nice touches to the place, including leaving little snacks and providing shampoo and conditioner. The beds and sheets were comfortable. It is an older home, but the owners seem to be doing some nice upgrades; including a new couch. We felt safe and comfortable here for the few days we were here. I would recommend it here if you want something cozy.

Excellent stay in TN

This was the perfect property for us and our very small Yorkie. Very near paved sidewalks for walking and a great location for visiting our family in that area. The house was nicely appointed and very clean. The owner was especially responsive to any questions or needs. Having stayed in VRBO’s in the states and internationally, we were completely satisfied with this property and will plan to stay again in the future.
