We are excited to offer this wonderful property, Reel 'Em Inn, a premier property offered through Vacay Away!

This beautifully modern and professionally designed & furnished waterfront cabin situated on a ideal waterfront lot, with easy access into the Shenandoah river for all of your water adventures. Enjoy fishing, tubing, kayaking or swimming right at the comfort of this home. The water is usually quite calm and its not very deep at the property.

This newly renovated riverfront home boasts stylish space for your family and friends. Direct river access (property is riverfront) for tubing, kayaking, lounging, and fishing. The home has a huge yard and front and back porch to take in the views, fire pit and easy access to all that Shenandoah Valley has to offer! The house is situated between Massanutten Resort, Blue Ridge Parkway and Luray Caverns. It is also a 35-minute drive from James Madison University and close proximity to several wineries/breweries.

Some of the highlights of this home:
*3 Bedrooms and 1.5 bathrooms. There is a detached garage which features a game room with foosball, arcade games and large TV!
*Back deck with hot tub and views of the river
*Stylishly furnished bedrooms and bathrooms, freshly painted, new lighting, updated kitchen and new flooring, tiled showers throughout!
*All bedrooms feature high rated mattresses, luxurious bedding, All linens provided (please bring river towels)
* Updated kitchen with stainless steel appliances, an abundance of cabinetry, Quartz Countertops. Fully stocked with drip coffee maker, crockpot, blender, toaster, plates, cups, wine glasses, silverware, cookware, pots and pans, etc!
*Propane BBQ grill and Large Firepit!
*Enjoy coffee/wine on the porch.
*Starlink internet for better speed, more streaming
*Minutes from Blue Ridge Parkway for hiking and outdoors galore
*Accommodates the fur babies ($35/per night, per pet fee)

We had a fabulous weekend getaway at this property. The rooms were clean and comfortable and the location is great for access to hiking trails and the Shenandoah mountains. When we arrived, the hot tub was not cleaned and was cold but the owners responded right away and got the cleaners to arrive within a couple hours to clean it. They were extremely responsive and answered all questions quickly.

quiet little river place

we are an old coupe and went looking for a quiet place for some super hot days. this was a great place. nice comfortable cabin, nice kitchen, nice deck looking at the river, nice gas grill and a nice cool river to cool-off.

House and game room were wonderful. House was very well equipped. The only things that I thought it could use was more silverware (there was only six forks and five knives) and a dresser in the bedroom. Loved the washer and dryer. My family enjoyed the hot tub and the kayaks. Would recommend the rental.

We went up for a 4 day weekend planning to do a little kayaking and fishing, but the rain was not in our favor. River levels were high and water was moving fast! The house has been remodeled and very nice. We did eat breakfast in and there where pots and pan there for us to use. Me, my husband, son and daughter-in-law enjoyed the home and would definitely stay there again.

This house was everything we could have wanted. Our family loved it so very much. We have stayed in several vacation homes and we will definitely be back to this one!

Great Vacation Home

Had a very pleasant stay here the home was very cozy and nice had a lot of amenities and things to do here from the fire pit in the back to the big hot tub in the back porch. The house had all needed condiments in the house to soap and body wash & laundry supplies. Thanks for the great stay planning to come again soon!

What fun!

Perfect location. Easy river access. We enjoyed all the amenities especially volleyball. House was very nice and clean. Communication with owner was great. We intend on a return visit!

Enjoyed staying here and is as described in the listing! Comfortable beds, plenty of hot water, all appliances worked properly. Oldest sons enjoyed that the game room was separate from the house, gave them some away from us parents time! Kids enjoyed the kayaks once the river settled down from Debby (storm). Good communication from host when I had questions..

Decent but over priced

Ni bathroom trash cans, had to call maintenence to fix shower head, not enough dishes, facet upstairs was super woobly, couldn't figure out the mini split hvac, hot tub was filthy and would not get hot enough to get in unless youre a child. Definitely not enough room for 10 people.

Wonderful place to get away

This is an amazing property. The house and amenities are outstanding. The owners were very responsive to my questions. Everything you could need is available. The waterfront property made it enjoyable to kayak and float on the river. Quiet & peaceful. Enjoyed the hot tub and firepit in the evenings. Nice area to walk and ride bikes. Overall great experience. Thank you all very much for letting us stay at your property and looking forward to returning again.

Peaceful Bliss

The property was amazing and a tranquil. It was a bit of a drive down som country roads but well worth the drive as it is only 25 minutes from Harrisonburg amenities. It did rain for half our stay and the river was high and running fast, so we did not get to enjoy the kayaks or inner tubes unfortunately. One issue we had was it was pouring upon our arrival and there were no entry rugs at any of the three entrances so we had to use towels to clean up the floors which caused us to have to immediately do a load of laundry so everyone had towels to shower/ bath with. Also, the hot tub filter had not been changed for what looks to be, since last season. I can attest to this as we own the same brand of hot tub and when we pulled the filter to look at it, it was filthy and collapsed

nice property overall, there are a few things that need fixed but nothing that would keep you from enjoying your stay. One thing that should be known is the latch or lack thereof on the shed for the garbage, it will hold the door until someone or something pushes the door and then they have access. Combined with a hole in the bottom of the garbage container, I had quite the mess to clean up on our departure morning. Had to have been a smaller animal, probably racoon and I would say it is probably a repeat offender. Anyway, all good..we packed all the garbage out to the recycle center on the northside of Shenandoah so nothing would have the chance to do it again. Overall we had a wonderful stay and would recommend it to anyone.

This was the WORST VRBO experience we’ve ever had. If you are used to chemical cleaners and other artificial scents read no further… however, if you have any sensitivities, this place is in not for you. I cannot even begin to tell you how much this place smelled… as soon as we parked and opened the car doors, the smells punched you in the face! It was like getting doused with whatever liquid is in a glade plug-ins (which are petrochemicals and neurotoxins)… the entire house was saturated with odors… there were air fresheners in the ac units … our eyes were watering within minutes. This was not the kind of smell that could be aired out (although we tried)… it was embedded in the walls and floors. So basically, in order not to get a migraine or feel sick for the 4 nights we booked, we decided to leave…. It was impossible to reach the hosts, and the “property manager” was less than helpful. We tried to be reasonable and come to a financial compromise, but they only would agree to giving us back our deposit and fees… so we basically not much.Also, this place is a lot small than it appears… the “game room” is in a converted garage a short walk from the house. And it smelled in there too.

Great time - Decent place!

We had a great time! The house was clean, but there were areas where old spider webs and dead bugs were visible, but overall it was decent. The game room had too many spiders for us to feel comfortable so we avoided it. There was some trash and broken items in the yard and the main bedroom's closet for was broken. It was also a little disappointing that there weren't TV's in all the bedrooms and the main one in the living room is a bit too small for the area. Also, it doesn't have central AC/heat but the single units in each room did a good job. The house was smaller than expected especially looking at the pictures. We had a great time together despite some negativity and enjoyed the hot tub and bonfire roasting marshmallows and making s'mores! The owners were very responsive to our needs. Overall it was a good place, but we probably won't rent there again.

Beautiful and Fun

A real gem of a stay - highly recommended! It was everything we wanted: relaxing, clean and felt like home. There are other houses nearby but it still felt very private and quiet. It is off a gravel road and is remote, we saw beautiful horses on the farms and a lot of deer on our drive to and from the house. The management company was very responsive to questions, maintenance issues, and extending our stay for an additional day, which made our stay easy and welcoming. The house was renovated beautifully and all the appliances are new and they were well stocked with supplies. No bugs issues. We rarely saw any in the house and outside they were minimal, which was great to have a mosquito free week. The internet was ok during our stay and they did mention that during our exchanges of messages, so it was no surprise. The kids had delays watching TV and it was not adequate enough to work on our VPNs. The bedrooms were all nice, had individual AC units, and beds were comfortable.The game room was useful when it when it rained. We played checkers, foosball, and bags. The outdoor area was beautifully done. The kids loved the volleyball area. We mainly used it for badminton.Great fire pit area and plenty of wood to have s'mores.The river was great because it was not deep and the current was not strong.They do have 2 kayaks and 3 tubes, but we did not really use because unknown pick-up spots and we only had one vehicle. A lot of things to do in the area to keep young kids entertained.
