Hosting began as a personal passion project when I started renovating properties to create spaces I would want to stay in myself—comfortable, stylish, and designed for connection. Known as the “Island City,” it offers a vibrant, inclusive, and welcoming community unlike anywhere else in the region. It has earned a national reputation as one of the most LGBTQ-friendly cities in the United States, and its energy shines through in the incredible dining, nightlife, and cultural events right at your doorstep. Yet despite its lively scene, it still has a relaxed, neighborhood feel that makes it an amazing place to live, work, and visit.
I chose this neighborhood because it perfectly represents what South Florida living is all about: a blend of sunshine, diversity, and community spirit. Guests can stroll to cafes, cocktail lounges, and boutiques, or head just a few minutes down the road to Fort Lauderdale’s beaches, Las Olas Boulevard, and the vibrant arts district. You get the benefit of a central location with easy access to the airport and downtown, while still enjoying a safe, welcoming, and walkable community.
