We had such an amazing, relaxing time at this rental. The beach and swimming area were perfect for the kids, there was enough space for everyone to spread out in the house, and the property is so close to The Windmill, Tilted Loon, and walking paths. The fire pit area was amazing as well. I loved everything about this property and would go back every year if I could! I’m only bummed that it’s booked so far in advance! Hopefully we’ll be able to stay here again. It’s absolutely amazing :)

Amazing Stay on Lake Nokomis!

What a wonderful cabin. This place was incredible. Lots of room for a family of 8 plus the lake setting was perfect. Walking distance from Windmill ice cream and the Tilted Loon was a definite plus as well! Everyone had a great time. We plan to stay here again!

This property on Lake Nokomis was absolutely wonderful! We did lots of cruising on the lake with our pontoon, plus swimming, tubing, and fishing. The addition of an outdoor fire pit to this property was exceptional. The only slightly negative comment I would have was that the hill down to the lake, and then back up to the house was a little tough for the grandmas. But it was worth the trip every time!

Great location and property was as listed. Would have given overall 5 but seemed like a few more towels and wash clothes could be included. We did laundry almost every day. Also, since we had children under 3 the stairs were a constant worry. We could have brought a gate but doubt if any of ours would have fit. Stairwell is pretty wide. An onsite gate would have been appreciated. At the end of the stay we all agreed the location was great and the property overall was very nice. Just needs a couple minor tweaks and it’s a 5 star.

The rooms were very clean and the layout worked perfect for multiple families. The beach was sandy and the fire pit was perfect for many to sit around.

Family friendly vacation

Our stay was awesome! The house is very clean and up to date. 4 bedroom and in the bedrooms in the basement there are 2 queen beds in each room. Enjoyed the Kayaks and rented a pontoon boat. The Windmill ice cream shop is a block away, which my family utilized quite often! Thanks Mark and Jaci for renting such a nice property!

everything was Great except one thing could be better , they didn't have much for cooking , no pans , no cutting boards , not to much utensils at all

Better than expected

We knew the home would be nice from the listing, but everything was perfectly clean, not cluttered at all, and spacious. We would stay here again. Location is great, lake is beautiful! So much to love!

Excellent location and house

Awesome house on lake with everything we needed. We had a small hiccup when checking in but host was quick to respond, went above and beyond to make our stay a success. Great place to stay if you plan to ride UTV trails. Lots of room to park vehicles with trailers. Great places to eat nearby. We will be staying here again on our next riding trip to area.

So much fun!

We had a family vacation there and loved the beach and fished off the dock and when it rained the kids rode bikes in the garage. It had the space we needed to keep everyone happy! The owners were very responsive - we appreciate you sharing your place!

great location

We had a very nice stay at this house. The house was clean, the check-in was easy, the outdoor space was well maintained, and the lake was lovely. The kitchen had everything we needed and the second refrigerator was much appreciated. It would be nice if the living room baluster was brought up to code with smaller spacing, as well as an added baluster or railing on the open side of the staircase. Also be aware that it is a large step off the dock onto the beach (or water when water level is high). There aren't any steps to get off/on the dock, and it's higher off the ground than an average step. It was difficult for the small children and grandparents to get in and out of the lake. We would have appreciated a larger table and more seating inside the house. With the ability to sleep 12 people, there is only seating for 6 at the table and 6 in the main floor living space. Overall we had everything we needed and recommend the place. Thank you!

Celebrating turning 70 with life long friends

Beautiful property right on Lake Nokomis. We had 6 in our party and had plenty of room - the outdoor deck was very enjoyable - we cooked out one night and sat on the deck watching the sunset.

Family vacation

The house/property was everything described and more! Perfectly furnished, exceptionally clean with all the comforts of home! The layout of the home gives a separate living space to all. Spacious bedrooms, beautiful kitchen and living rooms. The lake is incredibly clean and beautiful! Our host was extremely responsive and helpful. We have been doing family vacations for several years and this was by far our favorite home and location! Thanks for creating a beautiful place to call “home” for several days!! ❤️❤️❤️

We had the BEST time here! Clean, location is perfect, kid friendly, adult getaway. Take advantage of the Kayaks in the morning and the fire table at night. We ordered groceries from Trig’s and the two full sized refrigerators kept 3 families fed and minimized eating out. There was plenty of room for all! We will absolutely be back!

As your hosts, we are passionate about everything that makes our property and the surrounding area special. We have a deep love for Lake Nokomis and all it has to offer, from the beautiful sandy bottoms to the crystal-clear water that sparkles in the sun. We love spending our days on the water, soaking up the sun and getting that golden lake glow that only comes from a day spent on the lake. When we are not on the water, we love taking our UTV out for trips and exploring the beautiful trails that wind through the surrounding wilderness. One of our favorite spots to visit is the waterfall by Willow Lake, which is just off the UTV trail. In the spring, you can see the Muskie's run, which is truly a sight to behold. During the winter months, we love snowmobiling and venturing out to enjoy fish fries and old-fashioned drinks. We take great pride in sharing our love for the area with our guests and are always happy to offer recommendations and suggestions on how to make the most of your stay. We want you to feel like part of our family and to experience everything that makes our property and the surrounding area so special.

Another one of our favorite things to do is to frequent the Loophole Bar, which is located very close to the cabin. One of the things that make this bar so unique is the Mission Song, which is truly special to the area. The owner, Brian, loves this song and the "I'm Proud to be an American" song, which always gets the crowd going. It's a unique experience that you won't find anywhere else, and we highly recommend checking it out during your stay. In addition, Prairie Rapids Tavern is also a must-visit spot during your stay. This tavern not only offers drinks but often features live music, making for a fun and entertaining night out. Plus, the tavern boasts stunning views of the nearby lake, adding to the overall ambiance and experience. Don't miss out on the chance to enjoy some great music and breathtaking scenery at Prairie Rapids Tavern.
