Dawn On The Bay at Pointe West

Relax with the whole family at this peaceful condo with amazing views of the bay. Spacious 2 bedroom condo with 2 full baths and room to roam throughout the condo and complex. Comfortable and expansive living room, ample dining room for meals, puzzles or family game night and the balcony - you may be there from coffee to cocktails - the best seats in the house are outside of the house. The home is set up for families to enjoy with the private primary bedroom and en suite bath.

So many options at Pointe West from the pools to the fitness room, sport courts and dunes walkover to the beach - what will you do first? Keep in mind that you are required to obtain a parking permit to be on the premises - and that there is a charge of $25 per person 5 years of age and older for use of the complex amenities. This is paid to the complex office upon your arrival and we are unable to collect it in advance of your arrival and prepay it, unfortunately. Wristbands are issued along with codes that will provide you access / entry to these amenities.

Primary bedroom has king bed, en suite bath and walk in closet, secondary bedroom with 2 full sized (double) beds. TV's in both bedrooms and living room as well. Fully stocked kitchen whether you plan to cook your meals while on vacation, make popcorn for family game night or warm up leftovers - what you need is here! Full suite of full sized appliances including washer and dryer so you can pack light or stay longer (or both!) Because everyone has a preference or other reasons for laundry product preferences, laundry products are not provided.

The kitchen offers everything you could want to prepare your meals or warm leftovers from any of Galveston's hundreds of restaurants.

A private WiFi connection means you can work from home, home school, or stream whatever you wish while in the property. Whether you plan to experience Galveston's culinary adventures or save money by cooking in (some or all of your meals) you have plenty of options.

We look forward to hosting you in this privately owned condo that the owners entrust us to manage on their behalf. Each condo at this complex is privately owned - we don't manage them all.

We provide each guest with a bath, hand and wash cloth, as well as kitchen towels and starter supplies of paper products, toiletries, dish washing options, and coffee. These are intended to get you started while you make your list and decide where to shop (there is a WalMart, Kroger, Randall's, Arlan's and Target on the island, as well as many mom & pop grocery stores.

Pointe West Complex charges $25.00 per person valid for the duration of your stay to access their common amenities including pools, hot tubs, fitness center, dune walkover, etc. This is paid directly at their complex and not to us. They also provide parking permit(s) which are required while parked inside of their community to ensure that only registered guests of the complex are utilizing the parking and facilities paid for by the owners within the community.

After making your reservation you will receive a link to complete our renters agreement. The only information we request differently than the booking platforms (VRBO/AirBnB) is your personal email address, the names and ages of each person who will be in the property during your stay, and your driver’s license information as well as an emergency contact should we need to reach someone on your behalf. Thank you for completing this in a timely manner so that we may send you the check-in instructions for the property you have reserved.

WE ARE UNABLE TO SEND YOUR CONFIRMATION INFORMATION UNTIL THE ABOVE INFORMATION IS ALL RECEIVED IN OUR OFFICE.

Galveston is a barrier island located in the Gulf of Mexico. The island is susceptible to rainstorms, thunderstorms and even a hurricane now and then. Sometimes these result in temporary power and WiFi outages. We strongly encourage our renters to consider purchasing trip interruption/cancellation protection either through the platform that you book through or some other source. My Galveston Getaway issues refunds if a governmental official issues a mandatory evacuation of the island. Unfortunately we are unable to control sunshine, temperatures and mosquitos and do not refund other than pursuant to our policy based on evacuation orders. Thank you for understanding.

Again – the parking/resort/amenities/facilities fee is one charged by the condominium complex, not by the owner of the condo or My Galveston Getaway and we appreciate your understanding.


For all reservations made directly through our website and through VRBO, there is a $300 security deposit “hold” required. You certainly can purchase trip cancellation/interruption coverage through those platforms as well if you so desire, this is a damage “deposit” hold. This is released once our housekeepers advise that the property has been left in the condition received with no damages occurring during your stay. This is not a charge, but a hold on the credit card on file with which the reservation is made. Should there be damages and they exceed $300 to repair or replace, you will be notified and asked to make arrangements to compensate for those items.

Great view and nice condo!

We where here for a week in Sept. I think we where the only ones in the whole building most of the week so it was nice and quite. The pools are really good and we enjoyed being able to drive and park on the beach. Relaxing time! Several storms came through and where able to enjoy them on the patio overlooking the bay!

Last minute beach stay

The place was great, so clean, plenty of space for the 4 of us, really enjoyed the space at the beach (plenty of room). I may have not read everything carefully when booking my stay. I thought I was staying really close to the club house, but I was much further down. I would recommend the golf cart rental. Our next visit will be at or very near the club house.
