The Mountaineer Apartment - Gunnison

Welcome to The Mountaineer Apartment brand new on the market in May 2023! Conveniently located across the street from Western State College on N Colorado. This space is perfect for visiting the school, or just Gunnison in general. The apartment is located above the garage of our other rental home, The Mountaineer.

Alley entrance- Open the door (with your door code) to the flight of stairs, you enter the Livingroom/Kitchen area with a sleeper sofa and a cozy electric fireplace. This area has a washer/dryer and 1/2 bath. Adjoining this space is 1 bedroom with a queen bed and 1 full bath.

Sorry, the garage is kept private for the owners, but you can park next to the garage (Space enough for 1 car.) All extra cars will need to be parked along the street.

The closeness to the college was perfect for visiting granddaughter. Lots of restaurants in walking distance. The apartment had all that was needed and very nice and clean.

Loved this place. Great location for visiting anything in Gunnison. We wanted to be close to Western Colorado University and this was right across the street from campus as well as easy walking distance to Main Street for restaurants and shopping.

Very nice property. Very comfortable bed, very clean, and I appreciate the ability to wash clothes. Spent the week in Gunnison and it was very convenient. The extra half bath was a nice touch.

Convenient and Nice Property for Two

The property was in excellent condition and clean, with no apparent repairs required. The location is perfect, within walking distance of all "in town" shopping and eating. This will be our go-to property for future visits to Gunnison.

Overall this property worked well for our trip. Close to Crested Butte which was great. Clean and neat, the only downside was no AC. We knew this up front, just happened to have record heat while there. Central location for us was perfect! Great value

it's so conveniently close to the CB shuttle, great space. took me a bit to figure out to push the button on the lock pad to get the numbers to light up to input the unlock code.

Perfect for visiting the university and town

From start to finish this was a great place to stay. Jenny, the manager, is friendly and easy to deal with. She provided helpful and timely information. In fact she checked in to make sure I was getting the emails. Check-in to check out was simple.The place is perfect for a couple (or more on the sofa sleeper). It was very clean, well stocked, and comfortable. This a perfect place to stay and visit a kid at the university. I would definitely stay here again when in Gunnison.

My husband and I wanted a place to stay while visiting family in the area. This apartment exceeded my expectations. It is equipped with all the little necessities to make a stay comfortable - well appointed kitchen; bath and a half; luxurious towels( just enough furniture; and convenient washer/dryer. The location made most Gunnison sites walkable. I highly recommend the property and the helpfulness of the owner.

This is a super nice place, and I feel a little bad not giving it 5 stars. The bedroom window faces the main house, which has a super bright security light which activated frequently. There are not enough curtains to cover the window. The outside trash was full, and we did not know if we were supposed to move it somewhere to be emptied. Other than those two issues, everything else was good. This apartment was clean, comfortable, and everything was functional. Thanks!
