Mexican charm

The property was beautiful! Selva Romantica has beautiful flowers everywhere, and it's close to excellent restaurants. The condo itself was very clean and well set up. Cihan also provided excellent information for a great stay.

Beautiful complex

Overall, really nice stay. Needs a firmer bed badly!Can be a little loud at nite.( Right above partying zone.)If you want to stay near los muertos beach, which seemed really brown and dirty to me, you are super close. Many great and inexpensive restaurants nearby. Taxis cheap.

Perfect Getaway

Casa Colibri far exceeded my expectations, beautiful and ideally located within easy walking distance to the best restaurants, beaches, art galleries and entertainment in Zona Romantica. The property is well furnished, very comfortable and everything was in good working order. I particularly liked the ability to throw open all of the windows to enjoy the ocean breezes 24/7. The property hosts were very responsive to inquiries prior to and during my stay. Highly recommended!

Amazing stay at Selva Romantica in Casa Colibri

We had the most amazing stay at Selva Romantica in Casa Colibri. From the start with booking through VRBO, we found our host Cihan to be very helpful, and communication was excellent. Upon our arrival, we were warmly greeted and taken to our unit. The pictures of Casa Colibri and the property are spot on. The unit was very clean, well stocked, everything worked well, cute deco, and comfortable. Washer and dryer in the unit was such a plus. The location is perfect. Short walk to Los Muertos Beach and the Pier, restaurants, shopping, entertainment, and walking the Malecon. Instructions were clear on who to contact if we needed anything, and recommendations of restaurants and activities in the area. We would recommend staying here, and are looking forward to staying again

Loved our stay

Selva Romantica is a serene oasis in the often bustling and noisy Romantic Zone with a beautiful, ultra private garden setting. The pool deck is spacious with plenty of shady areas. The condo itself is exactly as pictured. We loved the high ceilings and wonderfully eclectic Mexican artwork throughout the condo as well as the many conveniences offered (especially the cappuccino machine). Cihan was a pleasure to deal with and the property's concierge Mavy was superb. My only niggle would be the bed as we are used to a king with more support. That said, we both slept well.

Best Location In Old Town

This is our second time staying in Selva Romantica and it truly is a hidden gem in Zona Romantica. It really is in the heart of everything but at the same time an oasis. Cihan's unit is exactly as it is pictured, has everything you need, bed is comfy, kitchen is well appointed and it steps away from the pool and gym. Mavy the property manager was super helpful and responsive and helped make our stay a good one. Cihan was a pleasure to deal with, responding quickly to our many questions and offered up many tips for making our stay an enjoyable one. We will definitely be back! Thanks Cihan

Had a great time. Love the condo and Facilities but the main homeowners seem to have issues with the casually renter. Especially at the pool. We are in our 50’s and don’t need daily reminders what we can and cannot do at a pool. Rude people making other people feel uncomfortable.

PERFECT SPOT FOR RELAXING, EXPLORING & FUN!

It exceeded my expectations. I've been traveling to PV since 1990. La Selva Romantica Condominium Complex is a gorgeous old-school property with saltillo-tiled floors, a palapa, equipale furniture, mature bougainvillea & hibiscus. The infinity pool is perfection, with a little kiddie swim area and a swim-up bar area for the adults! Jacuzzi & gym are bonuses. Location feels remote & quiet but it's an incredibly short walk to the center of action in La Zona Romantica / Old Town. Cafes, bars, restaurants, music, dancing, small grocery stores, art galleries, money exchangers, ATMs, the beach, taxis, buses, Ubers... everything is nearby. Meander cobblestone streets + walking paths to remote beaches & lots of charming nearby neighborhoods. Water taxis are 5 minutes away at the pier. Can see nightly fireworks display from the living room! The condo had a gorgeous kitchen with everything I needed. The master bathroom was beautiful; the powder room was unexpected & lovely. Craftsmanship in tiles & woodwork. Views of the hillside & of pool area. Cable TV great for a mid-afternoon break. I was a woman traveling for business & pleasure; the wifi worked perfectly and the unit felt spacious & comfy. Security team was spot-on, checking me in & out at both of the exit/entry points. Mixed use of ceiling fans, other fans & A/C supported me during muggy, hot weather! Onsite property manager Mavi was welcoming & engaging. I cannot recommend this condo highly enough. I want to return again & again!

Traditional Mexican Hideaway

My wife and I stayed at Selva Romantica for two weeks and loved how private the compound fells given the construction next door. We were concerned our view would be obstructed, but not to worry. You get a view of the Sierra Madres from the living room and kitchen, while the bedroom has a little balcony that looks towards to pool and north. The home has an artists touch along with all the traditional Mexican decor you're looking for. We really enjoyed the saline pool and hot tub we had the pool area to ourselves for the most part. Pros: • Traditional Mexican decor and architecture • The condo has an artist's touch • Unobstructed view (meaning no construction sites in our view) • Private and Secure (security on premises) • Close to our favorite restaurants • Down the street literally from the "Sail Boat Pier" • Doors and windows can open up fully • Unique and beautiful grounds that felt like a private compound Cons: • Can get warm in the condo during the morning and early afternoon • Wifi was a little weak (not ideal place for remote workers, better for disconnecting and being on vacation) • On a hill, lots of steps, not ideal for someone with accessibility issues

My PV home.

I have stayed in this unit 7 times, Puerto Vallarta would just not be the same anywhere else. The place is warm and cozy with spectacular views of the mountains and morning sunrise. Greeted with lovely terracotta tiled floor and Mexican carpets, the pallet is warm and settling the second you arrive. Modern wicker furnishings and intimate lighting adds to the character of the unit. The layout is so perfect with a chefs dream kitchen elegant living area and another seating area that transforms into a dining room. Two bathrooms both with a shower and a bedroom that goes dead silent at night. Even a dishwasher and laundry, although the maid service comes once a week and does an exemplary job of clean up. The complex is classic Mexico, with stunning gardens that are constantly in bloom and endless terracotta steps that lead all over the complex. Four different exits take you in any direction you want to go. Safe and secure with key in and key out, there are also security guards walking the complex 24 hours a day, always warm and welcoming. The infinity pool welcomes you with a spectacular view of Old Town Puerto Vallarta and the hot tub melts away the feeling of winter in seconds flat..A day just by the pool is a must. Two blocks down to the icon of "The Pier", give you an anchor point to navigate by. One block the other direction is the famous Basilio Bedelia street and its endless galleries, shops and restaurants...I highly recommend renting this unit, it never disappoints! John Ferrie

Excellen Choice

Recently stayed here for 9 nights, the 3rd time staying @ Selva. Great location, the beach is nearby, only about 100 restaurants, bars, etc. in easy walking distance. Dealing w/ Cihan was very easy. Was glad to have the opportunity to meet both he & Bonnie. I will be looking to availability on my next Vallarta visit.

Great rental in Selva

Great unit in the Selva. Beautiful views of the mountain/jungle areas and sun rising over the hills. Great cross ventilation (but also has A/C if you desire). Loved how so many large glass doors/windows opened and the unit is on top floor of the Pelicanos building so we didn't feel the need to close everything each time we left (we actually left them open all week). Able to see pool and ocean from bedroom and living room. I was worried about reports of local construction but none of this impacted or will impact the views from this unit. Owner was great to work with. Anything in the Selva is great but this 1 bed/2 bath is on the top of our list of Selva Romantica units. We'll be back.

This place is going to be our new secret getaway!

From our first welcome to our arrival at the Selva Romantica to our sad goodbyes of one of the best kept secrets on top of a hill above "Old Town" overlooking all of "PV" with eye dazzling views of mountains, ocean, wild life, and the smells of all the blooming flowers. Also close great shopping, wonderful array of restaurants & cafes. But the best part was the accommodations which had everything we needed to feel totally at home. Thank you Cihan & Bonnie for sharing your special hacienda with us, we would absolutely love to come back again!

Perfect Location

We actually saw Selva Romantica from a nearby rooftop pool last year and wanted to give it a try. Glad we did. In my opinion, the pictures do not entirely capture the comfort and warmth of this condo and grounds. The pool area is outstanding with many viewing areas to catch a sunset. Beach access is an extremely easy walk with a return trip choice of either a moderate but short hill climb or stairs. This condo is set up for a cool breeze to blow through, with your choice of AC if you so choose. All that Old Town has to offer is within walking distance. Thank You Cihan

A Perfect Place!

My husband & I stayed for the second time at Selva Romantica, this time in Cihan & Bonnie's wonderful 1 bedroom condo. It was perfect for us two. The bed was comfortable, the kitchen outfitted wonderfully, a washer/dryer/dishwasher in unit and fantastic views out the gigantic windows. We loved the view of the selva from the unit as much as the view of the water and town from the pool. Centrally located, we spent most of our time in Old Town. If you get a chance to travel to PV during the Festival for Our Lady of Guadalupe (Dec 1-12), I highly recommend it! The town opens its arms to all for 12 nights. We truly love PV and will be back again to stay in this wonderful penthouse condo.

Great stay

The condo was exactly as advertised. This was our first visit to Puerto Vallarta. We wanted to experience the charm of the city rather than have a simple, inclusive beach vacation. Selva Romantica was perfect for us in that regard. Cihan was very helpful in providing info for our visit. The staff on site was great. We hope to return to this gem.

Better than expected!

I use VRBO frequently and have had mostly positive encounters. Working with Cihan on my last minute booking was by far the easiest transaction yet. This condo is acurately descibed and visually stunning. It is much closer to the water that it appears in the photos. The pool/hottub area is fantastic and was rarely visited by anyone else during my stay. It felt like my own personal oasis. It is a quiet, low-key, gated community and the unit itself is well stocked. I am looking forward to returning with my husband in the future. Thanks Cihan!
