Wonderful view

The location and the view were perfect. The condo needs some updating, the kitchen is very small but the king bed was comfortable and the balcony made up for the rest.

We saw dolphins, deer, rabbits, one snake, a squirrel, and 2 cats from the balcony. Plus hawks and an osprey. Laundry is coin operated down the hall but it only cost a dollar each and they have Speed Queens. Kitchen is small but usable. Walking distance to Coligny Park where there are more places to eat than there is time to be eating. You can rent bikes everywhere you turn. Hated to leave.

Seaside ocean view

My wife and I rented the unit for the week. The unit was clean and had a spectacular view of the ocean. The unit was very comfortable and well laid out. The direct beach access and proximity to shopping and restaurants make it an ideal location.

Great view!

Can’t beat the view! The villa was exactly as advertised but with that said I do think it needs upgrading. Good size for two people, can’t imagine more than that.

Gorgeous Property

My family and I spent our spring break by getting up every morning and looking at the ocean! The decor is excellent. Recently remodeled with beautiful furnishings. The location in regards to shopping and eating is perfect. We rode our bikes everyday to Coligny and relaxed on the beach. A fabulous family vacation get away!

Great stay for 5 weeks. Condo was fine kitchen area a little small. The only disappointment was the pool area. We never went as it seemed to be in the shade and pool was dirty. Beach was fabulous!

Awesome view

There condo was nice. Some older items need replaced but were usable for us during the week. It was clean and nice. Probably best for 2 instead of 4 but we were happy with the place and the awesome view!!

Had a great stay, the only suggestions i would make is that the the room said it was updated, however noticed cracks on the dry wall in the TV room, also carpet on the balcony was ripped and sliding door did not lock. Also, perfect size for two people, but no more then that! View of the ocean is awesome!

Beautiful views, comfortable condo

The description and photos of the condo were accurate. The view from the balcony is amazing, providing an up close view of the ocean when it is calm and a great view of crashing waves. The owner was very helpful both before and during our stay. The kitchen was so well equipped we cooked our own meals and took advantage of eating on the balcony. Thd condo was clean, plenty of towels were provided and the bed was very comfortable....we were lulled to sleep by the waves, The gym is also well equipped and a short walk from the condo. We hope to be back for a longer stay and would definite recommend it to friends and family. Thanks for the use of your place!

Grungy Unit

Disappointing, grimy, old, hot, beat up, and gross. We have been to HHI many times and have enjoyed staying at the villas in the past. We chose this unit because it was ocean front and had a king size bed. Upon arrival, our unit was not ready until after 4 PM. Once we got into the unit, The blanket on the bed was visibly dirty. A crab was crawling across the floor. The walls had old food on them. I felt the need to cover the gross couch with a large blanket to feel comfortable sitting on it. The AC unit is only located in the living room with no vent into the bedroom so it was hot and humid to sleep. This unit is very dated and needs a full renovation. Very disheartening.

Beautiful Views

We enjoyed this property and location. We travel to Hilton Head at least once a year and enjoy being in the Coligny area. The online rental process was easy, just a bit of a hassle to have to go to the rental agency for keys ( many houses and condos we’ve stayed in just email the gate and access codes.). The condo was as described and had all the necessary items for a pleasant stay. A couple things we were surprised by ( and totally not owners’ fault) was the lack of cleaning done prior to our arrival- kitchen counter was sticky, and bathroom counter had toothpaste on the sink. It was not swept well, there was an Advil on the floor behind bathroom door. On the second day we received a knock on the door by someone claiming to be pest control and wanting to come in to do spraying. We were not advised of this ahead of time, so it surprised us. I realize that maintenance may need to be done during your stay, however you should be notified ahead of time, so you aren’t caught off guard or leave valuables out. Overall, the condo was very nice and comfortable. We enjoyed our stay and would rent this condo again.

Great view, so-so place

Property was basically as described, but ridiculously tiny and should never have more than 2 people. The pull out sofa was really thin and too uncomfortable for even our kids. While the condo was probably clean, it felt really dirty maybe because it’s so old. There are several carpets and the balcony is carpeted, which all felt old and gross. The kitchen was well stocked but really tiny. There is nowhere to store your food, so we had to keep it all on the 2 person table. Even the balcony is not big enough for 4 people. Again, condo was as pictured and described but should never be advertised as holding 4 people. The bedding is incredibly thin and the bedroom doesn’t seem to get any AC so it was HOT. The lights are also all dim, which adds to the condo feeling old and dank. We wound up leaving a night early. The view is amazing and the location is great, beach was incredibly clean, and while there were a lot of people, it never felt crowded.

Overall Great Vacation!

When we first walked into the condo we literally got stuck in the hallway! We had 2 kids and the luggage cart in tow and we all tried to walk in at the same time... wasn't possible! hallway is pretty narrow and condo felt a little smaller than I thought it was going to be. Would be absolutely perfect for 2 people though! The view is the best thing about this place, it was stunning! the condo was clean and I love the décor, and they had everything I needed and more in the kitchen for when I cooked. A couple negatives, the carpet on the patio was rotted and tattered and completely gone in some areas, exposing subfloor. it was disgusting, and we couldn't go out there without shoes on. this was very disappointing as the view was so beautiful we felt we could not enjoy it from the patio. Someone did contact me on Tuesday and said they had been trying to get it fixed, and they had workers there by Wednesday. So we did get to enjoy a couple of days on our patio! I think it would have been nice to have been notified of the problem before we arrived. Also when we went to use the bikes the code for the bike lock would not work, we tried for 20 minutes before I decided to call the rental company and they found a different code which worked immediately. no big deal, the info just needed to be updated in the condo. And then I started riding the bike, the chain kept messing up like it wasn't catching but it was still ride-able. until the second time I rode it and the chain completely fell off. so that left us with one bike! it would have been nice to have had more channels on the T.V, there were only maybe 10, so my kids were a little disappointed they couldn't watch cartoons, but the T.V in the bedroom did have a much larger selection and Disney! Overall we had a great time and really enjoyed this place, and would definatly come here again!

Hear the ocean !

Everything you need for a great couples vacation. Direct oceanfront, ocean view. You can hear the ocean waves from your own balcony and from your living room with the sliding screen door. Kitchen is tiny, but has everything you need with a full size refrigerator. Owners are really nice and answer all your questions promptly.

Excellent view and great location

We would personally like to thank Barb and John for renting their "perfect spot" on the ocean. The accommodations were exactly as described in the listing. The pics were exactly the same as the unit. The location was fantastic and we spent many hours on the balcony watching the waves and taking it all in. The bed was very comfortable for us. It is a soft mattress but that is what we like. I had emailed Barb and John about what they would recommend for restaurants and places to see and do. They were excellent at replying back quickly and gave us some great ideas which we did most of them and they were spot on. We would definitely come back to this unit. I would say this unit is perfect for a couple as the unit is not a large unit. Over all I would definitely say this is a perfect little spot. Thanks again to Barb and John :)

Great ocean view, nice beach, and great location, restaurants and food were the best !. The Sea Side condo was not very impressive, the building needs a heavy clean, repairs, painting needs it, also my condo was dirty, floors they never wash, stick when you walk, slide door was rusty and the balcony rug was dirty ...We were very disappointed with the condo and the condition all around. The rental company should have more attention to details, cleaning, and care of the property .....we are very disappointed and never recommended this place to any one . Thanks Miguel y Stella

Great central location at Coligny, within minutes of all the best restaurants . ocean front. Nice condo.VRBO office less than quarter mile from condo, which is nice for key pickup/drop off . Owners quick to respond to any queries. We would book this unit again.

Great view of the ocean and easy access to beach. The space is good unless you are planning to cook a lot and then the space is a little tight. We did enjoy our week and love the island.

John and Barb, pictured with some of our children and grandchildren on HHI beach, live just outside Chicago in NW Indiana. Both retired, we love travelling to HHI...even though it is a 15 hour drive!! We both serve on the board of directors for Seaside Villas, and are really proud of our little piece of paradise.

We purchased SSV 369 because we own the villa next door, along with Barb's sister and her husband. So many people have asked to rent villas close together for multiple family members, and now we can offer that option.
