Totally remodeled historic Salida opera house building. Our Happy Place is located in the heart of downtown Salida , the perfect location — walking distance to everything Salida has to offer. 2 blocks away from the Arkansas River, this newly remodeled loft provides easy access to shopping, mountain biking, art galleries, hiking, breweries, fly fishing, restaurants, skiing and more.

We'll give you privacy but are available throughout your stay if anything comes up.

Newly remodeled, spacious 1351 sq. ft. open floor plan - 2 bedroom, 2 bath, large entry area with a queen murphy bed for additional sleeping space, dedicated work space, gas fireplace, soaring 12+ ft ceilings, lots of light, expansive windows, unbelievable views of S Mountain, washer/dryer, large outdoor private deck with firepit and grill, and private parking.

The kitchen is fully equipped for all your cooking/dining needs. Microwave, dishwasher, all the necessary cooking utensils, cookware, tableware, Keurig with coffee pods, assorted teas, instant hot water kettle, slow cooker, toaster, dishwasher soap, oil, salt, pepper.

Both bathrooms - fluffy towels, dark washcloths for makeup, hand soap, Everyone 3 in 1 soap (shampoo, body, bubble), blow dryers, toilet paper.

Both bedrooms - fans, multiple pillow options, clothes hanging space or dresser drawers. The queen size Murphy bed is in the large entry area.

Living Room - flat-screen Roku TV, ceiling fan, gas fireplace, board games, yoga mat, and weight set.

Dedicated work space - upstairs loft with desk, high end ergonomic chair and Dell wide cinema display monitor 3440x1440 resolution

Compact washer and dryer with laundry soap.

Large outdoor private patio with fire pit, seating and gas grill.

1 private on-site parking space which is really nice being downtown!

Since we are located downtown, there is potential for noise.

There is no elevator. This is a second floor condo with stairs.

Fantastic Stay

These accommodations are fantastic! They are clean, spacious, and well-equiped. The location is wonderful and within walking distance of multiple downtown restaurants and the river walk area. We enjoyed our stay very much!

Very nice location in downtown Salida. Condo was clean and nicely decorated. Do have to go up a flight of stairs so may want to take that into account. Living room furnishings could use some upgrades. Sitting on couch feels like your sitting on a bean bag. Overall though, very nice accomidations with great location for enjoying downtown Salida!

We extremely enjoyed our stay at Our Happy Place -Downtown Salida. The location is great and the views from the both the front and rear of the residence are pleasing. The floor plan has been well designed. The art work and the location of the art work on the walls suggests that it was professionally done. The kitchen is well designed and equipped. Everything is clean and well kept. We had high exceptions and they were exceeded.

positive and enjoyable stay in the condo

Perfect location with proximity to downtown restaurants, bars, shops and hiking bearby. Deck, grill, laundry, parking...all you need for a perfect stay. Beds, pillows, sofa, all offered great comfort. Clean & well-equipped kitchen, modern and pleasant atmosphere. Host Jessica was always very responsive and attentive. Stay in Salida !!!!!!

This place is great: clean, stylish, and right in the center of Colorado's best mountain town! The only reason I wouldn't stay here is if we end up buying a place of our own because Salida is so compelling.

The accommodations were exactly as described and the location was great! Perfect for a family of 4. Great check in process and communication. We really appreciated having spices and coffee available! Thanks for a wonderful stay!

Amazing Downtown Condo!

I have been traveling to Salida for decades, but typically camp near Monarch, or rent a cabin in the woods. The family convinced me this year we should stay in town. Once they say saw the pictures of the condo, and the central location to all of our favorite places, they were sold. The condo did not disappoint, in fact the pictures do not do it justice. It is a beautifully and tastefully restored historic building with fantastic views. The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare several meals and the beds were comfy. I highly recommend staying here if you are coming to Salida. We will definitely be booking again...

Perfect location and setup for family with little kids

We love visiting Salida during the 4th of July. It’s great for families and Riverside Park, Safeway, and Natural Grocers, among all the other great restaurants and shopping. What you don’t see in the pictures of this location is everything is stocked with things you don’t think you need, but end up needing. Things like ziplock bags, aluminum foil, lots of cleaning and laundry supplies, decent spices, nicer cookware and utensils. We’ve been to other places we’re we still have to run out and buy salt, trash bags, etc. We didn’t have to go buy all those essentials during our stay, which takes a burden away when you are with young children. The views were immaculate, the place was clean as a whistle and while you did get some noise from outside, none of it was unexpected or over the top. Thanks for the great accommodations!

Great Location

Lots of food and shopping options and the condo was close to the event I was in town to attend. The condo was roomy and had great instructions and pages of shopping/dining recommendations.

Perfect Stay in Salida

This was definitely "Our Happy Place" during our recent visit to Salida. My wife beamed the whole time we were there and many times commented on the perfection of the property. The spaciousness of the apartment was "just perfect". The location in downtown Salida was "just perfect". The apartment was quite comfortable, from the temperature control, to the bedding, to the flooring, and the location was a "perfect" home base for exploring Salida and the surrounding area. The wi-fi was peppy and the workspace included a 34" ultra-wide monitor, perfect for doing a little remote office work. Yes, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Thank you!
