Feel like you are in the country while being close to all the downtown amenities and activities that Alexandria has to offer. Right across the street from the lake and within walking distance of a pontoon/fishing boat/bicycle rentals.
Enjoy the scenery from the front patio or eat out on the deck in the privacy of the backyard under the automatic awning. Enjoy s’mores over a bonfire and play yard games! This is the perfect home for the whole family to enjoy, with spacious living areas and enough bedrooms and bathrooms for everyone to have their own space.

Was clean and comfortable for three individual adults using all three bedrooms and even though listed as pet friendly did not have any type of pet odors. Backyard and four season porch was nice and quiet. We were not doing any lake activities this trip so having easy lake access was not an issue. I would recommend this property as a good choice for anyone looking to visit Alexandria.

The check in was very easy and the kitchen had everything plus more. The place was very clean and comfortable! We had two little girls with us and they loved having toys and books to keep them occupied. Our adult sons and grandson played risk. A few more bath towels would have been nice. Would highly recommend for a larger group.

Myself and my wife met our youngest son and his fiance for a wonderful weekend in Alexandria. The house was very comfortable and was very nice to stay in.

Great home for a large group

Kitchen, dining and living areas were great for our family to enjoy Thanksgiving together. Lots of beds and baths. Nice to have two separate living rooms. Reba is a great communicator, was very accommodating.

Ladies annual Classic

The property was perfect in size for our group of 9 friends. Great location. We shopped downtown the came back and cooked a meal together.

Accommodations were good except advertised 12 person capacity. Only sleeping spots for eleven and most are double/single or couches. Pretty cramped for adults. Also, sunken living room caused near falls twice. Shortage of bedding/sheets/pillows

Cozy and comfortable

We were in town for my father in law’s funeral and didn’t want to stay in a hotel. The house was less than a mile from my inlaw’s and 10 minutes from the church. It was clean, comfortable, and had 3 bathrooms so it wasn’t a struggle for all of us getting ready in the morning. We didn’t get to stay long and enjoy the fireplace or 4 season porch much, but we will definitely be back.

we had a group of 9 ladies staying overnight. Clean home with plenty of space. Comfortable beds, even the blow up mattress was comfortable. Before we arrived I had reached out to the host several times and always received a prompt courteous reply. thanks for a great stay.

Fabulous place!

Everything was great! The only thing was on the listing it said whirlpool spa so we all brought suits excited for a hot tub which was not there. Loved that there were games and puzzles provided for a fun friends night in!

Girls Weekend

Our stay at Darling Lakeview was perfect ! The house was exceptionally clean and our host provided everything we needed . We had a weekend of delicious food , wine and even dessert. We all loved the abundance of natural light that all the windows allowed and the cozy fireplace in the evening. Thanks again for a fantastic stay !! :)

Great get away!

This spacious rental home is a great spot to congregate with friends or family! The decor is very cute and simple. There are three living room areas to hang out plus dining room table and high top stools at the counter in kitchen. Kitchen was well stocked and appliances were great. Quick and easy access to shopping and the winery. Reba was an excellent host. We had a small issue with a fuse blowing and she replied quickly with guidance. Highly recommend!

Perfect for family get away

This is the best vacation rental I’ve ever encountered. The pictures and descriptions are very accurate. The house is clean, well put together, and smells nice. Having multiple living rooms was perfect for a family staycation. It meant that we could operate with two different vibes at any time. The beds were incredibly comfortable, seating was supportive for people in larger bodies. The location is beautiful as well. We were lucky enough to be there on a foggy, frozen morning and really enjoying looking out at the lakes. This was a great stay and we definitely plan to return!

Relaxing

Great location and very relaxing! The house is furnished with everything to make your stay comfortable. Unfortunately the fridge/freezer wasn’t working but they were working on fixing it or getting it replaced. Very clean and sleeping accommodations very comfortable. Beautiful house in a beautiful area with so much to do and see. We will definitely stay again! Host was very informative and responsive! Thanks again!

You get the feel of the country and lake while still being close to all the amenities Alexandria has to offer! It feels very private and yet it’s easy to get to.

There is a lot of spacious hosting areas - whether on the back deck in the sunshine or in one of the two living rooms or the four-season porch! Plus, the king-size beds in two of the rooms allows for everyone to sleep comfortably.
