Welcome to Totes Chill - our inviting modern beach house, nestled in the heart of beautiful Cape Cod, 3 miles from the pristine shores of Craigville Beach. A beach pass is included in your rental giving you free parking and access to over 12 stunning beaches!
Our beach house is the perfect haven for a girl's trip or families and friends seeking an unforgettable getaway. Thoughtfully designed for travelers, by travelers we've made it as easy as possible to check in, relax & recharge while surrounded by gorgeous gardens and everything you need for a great vacation at your fingertips! It is super clean (all linens/comforters/quilts cleanded after every stay) with cozy beds and couches, the wifi is fast and house is Alexa enabled too! Simply open the door and I swear you can feel your blood pressure drop.
Totes Chill is a charming 2 bedroom, 1.5 bath (plus oversized outdoor shower) home with peaceful yard within a quiet, centrally located neighborhood – beaches and hiking trails abound! Enjoy the convenience of central air conditioning, ensuring that your family or group stays cool and comfortable during your stay.
Relax and recharge in the cool embrace of central air conditioning, providing a refreshing haven to return to after your adventures.
Keyless entry is via a wooden ramp which provides easy access to the home. You will be given a private code before check in that is changed between guests for your safety and privacy.
The outdoor space is a true oasis:
We have a delightful hammock garden where you can unwind and soak in the beauty of the surrounding nature. Perfect for a do nothing day of relaxation.
And after a day of sun and sand, indulge in the convenience of our invigorating outdoor shower, a traveler's delight for a quick refresher after your adventures. We supersized our shower making it the perfect touch of luxury after a beach day and a fun and convenient feature for families on the go. An outdoor shower after the beach and before dinner is part of the quinetessential Cape Cod coastal experience.
Our "decked out" deck abounds with flowers, herbs and veggies and a variety of plants. It also features an instagram worthy mosaic table made by a local artist that is the perfect backdrop for your morning coffee guaranteed to make your foodie and cocktail snaps look fantastic.
The pesticide free yard has an abundance of well established rhodedendrums (some taller than the house!) that provide privacy and greenery year round. And if you are lucky enough to be here when they are blooming (late May/early June) you will be surrounded in gorgeous pink hues! The front of the house is landscaped with roses, hydrangeas, cat mint, lillies, lavender, iris and local grasses. There are raspberries and blueberries free for the picking in the side yard.
We have tried to make our yard bee, bird and small animal friendly. As such you may find many small visitors during your stay, including friendly squirrels or even turkeys! Other regular visitors include a bunny family that enjoys munching the plants of their choice and a large variety of birds that visit daily. In fact this year we watched a family of chickadees take their first flight and even got to hold one (see our insta for the kid’s awe and excitement!) Feel free to toss peanuts to any of the small visitors in our yard - they love it and will reward you with hours of entertainment.
Interior Details:
You'll have access to the entire house - with the exception of two rooms. One room is our bedroom (don't worry we won't be there!) where we store our personal belongings and the other is a room off the side of the house (it has it's own entrance). We own and operate Speakeasy Travel Supply and that room is an overflow storage space for our fabrics and is closed off to guests. No one will be there during your stay.
There are no stairs to get into the house and no stairs within the house. The only stairs are off the deck which you do not need to use as the backyard is accessible from the front yard as well. The deck is accessible through the dining room and there are no stairs between those spaces. Please note - even though there aren’t any stairs to climb to get in, the home was not built to ADA code and has standard width door openings. The outdoor shower requires a step to get into.
Much of our home has been remodeled in the past year with a global style and an emphasis on sustainability. You'll find cork and eucalyptus flooring throughout, new appliances, low VOC paint and custom fabric touches through the house.
Our home is Alexa enabled which allows you to play music throughout the house with your voice.
Living Room/Kitchen/Dining Room:
The dining room has a large kitchen table - perfect for game night- with 2 bench seats and 4 additional chairs. The kitchen is equipped with new stainless steel appliances including a dishwasher, microwave and toaster.
You'll also have everything you need such as plates, cups, silverware, pots, pans, measuring cups, wooden spoons, salad bowl, lemon squeeze, cutting boards, pestle & mortar, tea towels, a 4 slice toaster, Keurig coffee maker and Chemex pour over coffee carafe.
The living room has two couches (organic, American made 3 seater from Pottery Barn and another 3 seater that is also American made) and a stylish egg chair. There is a Roku smart TV with Netflix, Paramount +, Disney Plus, HBO, MLS Season Pass and Hulu. A coffee table, large ottoman for lounging, a shoe rack, closet for coats, books, games and real plants! Please note the fireplace is not operational.
Bedrooms/Bathrooms:
Primary bedroom has queen bed and an additional twin which can be used for a guest or just for lounging and relaxing. Primary bedroom and ensuite half bath have been renovated this yeae with a stylish desert inspired mural and cork flooring - perfect for your insta pics. (New pics coming soon)
Second bedroom has two twin beds.
Additional sleeping space is on the couches in the living room (space for one person per couch).
There is 1.5 baths inside the house with a full tub. Additionally there is an oversized, luxurious outdoor shower.
Whether you are staying for a weekend or a week, our comfortable and stylish home is the perfect spot for your Cape Cod getaway!

We have a fabulous central location! Our town has over 10 beautiful beaches to explore and we are located just minutes from the best ones! There are also numerous hiking trails, ponds and lakes to explore. Adventure abounds for all outdoor enthusiasts - whether you want to swim, paddle board, kayak or just lounge on the beach we can point you to all the best spots! Our home is located in a quiet residential neighborhood, it is extremely peaceful and relaxing. The closest big beach is 3 miles away. Yes, you can walk if you want to (we have at times) but the beach pass we provide makes it super easy to drive down to the beach instead of lugging your items with you (especially useful for families) and also gives you access to other beaches you normally wouldn't be able to visit as a tourist. They are all gorgeous, sandy, picture perfect beaches!
There are 10 beaches in total to choose from and upon check in you will find a list of our favorite places to dine, paddle, hike and swim - including some secret local spots!!
On foot, you can hike on gorgeous conservation trails right off our street! There are trails everywhere in our neighborhood which makes getting your daily walk, run or bike in very easy.
We are minutes from upscale Osterville Village, Historic Barnstable and Centerville Villages and just a 10 minute drive to Main St. Hyannis -all excellent spots for shopping and dining.
There are FOUR breweries within 10 miles of our house - including the brand new Treehouse Brewery!
There are a handful of ice cream shops nearby, including the famous Four Seas (JFK's family ice cream shop).
Additionally you'll be within 10 minutes to many local farm stands and several grocery stores including Whole Foods, Trader Joes, BJ's and pharmacies like CVS and Walgreens.
We’re less than 5 miles from the Hyannis Ferry to Martha’s Vineyard and Nantucket and 35 minutes from the famous Cape Cod National Seashore.

We're Beth and Randy and we are so excited to host you in our home which we have lovingly named Totes Chill because it is so relaxing!
We are new to VRBO but have all 5 star reviews on airBnB and we look forward to making your stay easy, comfortable and perfect. We are both professional travelers and know exactly how to make your stay flawless so all you need to do is unwind! We like to say this house is made for travelers, by travelers!
Our background: We started travel blogging in 2007 (yes before travel blogging was even a job!). Professionally I was a photographer and Randy was a journalist so travel blogging became a perfect fit for us and within a couple of years BeersandBeans.com turned into our full time dream job!
By 2012 we created Pin-Up Live, which was a travel chat on Pinterest. We hosted many chats over the years joining popular travel companies and destinations with travelers. We worked for many different destinations and companies during our travel blogging years and Randy was a writer for Condé Nast. I also wrote a book called Getting Out Of Auto to help people take better photos with their cameras.
In 2013 we started Speakeasy Travel Supply where we sell our popular hidden pocket travel scarf (yes, ours is the original!) which helps people travel safer and smarter. Our studio is located on the Cape in Osterville and we make and ship everything from there. This is the job that currently takes up most of our time these days.
In 2021 we began the dream of owning our own vacation rental as we started renting our home to other travelers - which was very full circle for us and something that we had wanted to do for so long after staying in so many unique homes around the world. We love hosting and being part of the travel community while helping others enjoy the beauty & simplicity of a Cape Cod summer!

Our neighborhood is very quiet and it has a TON of hiking trails in it and it's close to so many beautiful beaches! As a plus our beaches are the warmest waters on the Cape! The water is always beautiful and so easy to swim in here. Barnstable is a true hidden gem - away from the hustle and bustle of the busier tourist areas with gorgeous beaches, excellent restaurants and great shopping at your finger tips. Each year we discover something new and fall more in love with this area. Plus, driving through this area is so pretty.
And all of our neighbors are really great, we love paddle boarding and swimming and this neighborhood just makes everything so convenient and easy while still being quiet and peaceful.
We have grocery stores and pharmacies under 10 minutes away and all major shopping is just 10 - 15 minutes away (Whole Foods, Trader Joe's, Target, etc). Hyannis and the island ferries are less than 15 mins away. There are also plenty of breweries to choose from.
There are a ridiculous amount of hidden hiking paths, conservation land and secret beaches all around us. We keep discovering new things every year and are happy to share them with you - just ask!

This house is the blood pressure dropper! That's how I felt it the first time I came to see the house and that's why we have named it Totes Chill. The house was very dated when we bought it and we have renovated it and made it colorful, cheery and modern.
There are large rhodedendrums in the yard (taller than the house) that give the house such a sense of greenery and privacy. Tiny animals abound here and plenty of chirping birds add to the relaxing nature of this place. It's just really lovely being here and it's the perfect place to unwind. There is enough room for everyone to gather but not feel crowded. The kitchen table is perfect for game night or cards, the couches are super comfy and relaxing. The oversized, custom outdoor shower is pure luxury after a day at the beach and the hammocks are the perfect way to relax with a glass of your favorite beverage before heading out for dinner or ice cream.
The central air makes it very comfortable to be in all summer, the kitchen is fully equipped and Alexa throughout the house is a fun addition which allows you to check weather, play games or just listen to music in every room. The lack of stairs makes the house easy and safe to get around in. We love it and we hope you do too!
