It's not at all what you might picture in your mind for this Harbor Country retreat in Rolling Prairie, IN. You are greeted by soaring cathedral ceilings in the main living space. This three bedroom, 2 bath home, sleeps five. Fully equipped kitchen, wood burning fireplace, large attached screened porch, skylights, outdoor gas grill.
Heated private pool with pool amenities, two outdoor patios, firepit, and parking. Large screened pool house for outdoor dining. Acres of private walking trails, private pond, geese, deer, rabbits, birds.

I joke that I rented a pool but it's almost true. In a smashingly successful piece of luck, the house was just as nice. Great kitchen, well stocked and clean. Walk in shower which is important for my husband mobility. Trees and nature a boon through every window. We relaxed and had such an enjoyable stay. Went nowhere, did little but read. It was perfect. Lots of birds and flowers!

We had a wonderful stay at this vacation rental! The property is beautifully maintained and so tranquil—it was the perfect place to relax and unwind. The pool was absolutely fantastic and quickly became one of our favorite spots to spend the day.Barb, the property manager, was so helpful and welcoming, and Russ, the owner, showed such genuine hospitality that made us feel right at home. The location couldn’t have been better—just a short drive to Washington Park Beach, Four Winds Casino, and shopping.We couldn’t have asked for a better getaway and are already looking forward to returning. Highly recommend!

Beach Getaway with Country Charm

Nice quiet stay. Remodeled 1920s house with newer 3 season room off the family room. 13 minutes from the Beach in New Buffalo. We would recommend for anybody looking to get away from the bustling city life.

This Rolling Prairie Retreat was an perfect stay for us. The home had all the amenities commonly used or needed in a home. The pool was clean and amazing for our whole stay. We also enjoyed a few walks around the property for that country feeling. Approximately 17 minutes to New Buffalo Beach at Lake Michigan. Beautiful beach and area, heads up though there is a charge for parking. I definitely recommend this VRBO home.

Pool was bigger than we thought from the pictures, and there is a great adjacent screen room we spent most evenings. Beautiful wooded land on property that we wandered. Check in was easy and we had a great time just hanging on property.

Relax in the country

Beautiful property to wander and enjoy wild flowers and a weeping willow overhanging the pond. Wonderful screened porch to relax in and watch deer wander by and listen to birds sing. Large pool and pool house, and modern kitchen with all the essentials.

Beautiful country retreat!

Beautiful setting in the countryside with a heated pool! Relaxing on the screened in porch was a peaceful treat. Everything was very clean, and we appreciated all the pool toys! New Buffalo is 15 minutes away. It is a cute town with a great public beach on Lake Michigan!

Great place

Everything you can possibly need is available at this house. All you need to bring is a bathing suit to use the large pool. Whether you have a large or small group of people or just you and your spouse you will like this house. Room enough inside and out for everyone. And, if you have a chance try Heston’s Supper Club restaurant. It was recommended by Russ and met his referral. Not only great food but very friendly staff.

Wonderful experience!!!!

We had a superb time at this beautiful house, which is super cozy and comfortable. The swimming pool was awesome! The whole property has so many landmarks to enjoy (pond, prairie, lovely trees, etc.). We highly recommend it!

Nice get away

Very comfortable and entertaining spot for my whole family. Pool with screened in porch was perfect hangout. Pond and the walking trails were beautiful. Also, very clean and organized.
