Magnificent view but overpriced
Overall, we enjoyed our stay. However, for the price, it wasn’t exactly what we were hoping for and we would likely opt to stay somewhere else next time. The unit was clean and appeared exactly as it looked in the photos, but the vinyl floors of the unit are wobbly and uneven - coming unglued from the subfloor. Not a huge deal but it did make it feel cheap and poorly constructed, especially for the price.
The View is fantastic from the balcony and we really enjoyed it, but because this is a condo complex, you do have to than leave the condo and go through the pool area to actually get down to the beach. It would’ve been about the same experience to stay in one of the cheaper units towards the rear of the property with the same access to the beach and a view from their balconies.
Also, worth noting is there is very little parking near the building and you have to park across the main road. Parking permits and pool passes are provided so that’s great but our instructions were a bit confusing about how many we were supposed to have (we had less in the bag) and there were threats of significant financial fines in the check in documentation, if any were not returned. We checked with the property manager and they were responsive and let us know that we had the right amount so they was nothing to be concerned with.
There is a wonderful restaurant on site, but it’s the only restaurant on North topsail, so the wait for a family of 5 was two hours when we arrived at 6pm.
