Acerca de este alojamiento
2 Minute Walk to the Public Beach! Family and Dog Friendly.
We would like to welcome you to picturesque Brant Lake, NY and our lovingly restored vacation home. Imagine rounding the bend on a tree lined Adirondack road and seemingly driving into the perfect postcard photo. The first sight you see is water pouring over a small dam under a flower lined pedestrian bridge. Past the dam you see a fountain in the center of a pond surrounded by a small village with old houses, church steeples, a lifeguard stand on a small beach and a historic stone library built out into the water. This is the Mill Pond area of Brant Lake. Driving around the first corner, just steps from Mill Pond, you see the wraparound porch, picket fence, dormers and gables of a vintage Adirondack home so beautiful you can’t help but want to stop and just sit on one of the rocking chairs lining the front porch. As you get closer and are admiring the home's original stained glass windows you see the house number on the post and realize this is the house where you will be spending your vacation.
Built in 1826 this was the home of a prominent local businessman. Passed down through generations of the same family. We were able purchase the home from them in 2022 to become our families vacation home, hopefully for generations to come. After a full year of hard work this home has been restored to its former glory. The work was done with the goal of keeping the original historic feel of the home, but with all the modern amenities of today's homes. Imagine walking across 200 year old wide plank floors, past an antique fainting couch, and laying down on a brand new king size bed all while the central air conditioning keeps you cool on a hot summer day.
Homes features: -Sleeps 10 5 bedrooms 1 king size bed, upstairs, with private bathroom 1 queen, upstairs 2 full, upstairs 1 queen, first floor, perfect for those who struggle with stairs 3 Full bathrooms 1 downstairs with claw foot tub and shower stall 1 upstairs with double sink and separate toilet and shower area 1 master bath with second door to allow others to use if need be Fully equipped kitchen with new appliances and utensils Butlers pantry with coffee station and beer fridge Large living room with sectional couch and pool table Dining room and a breakfast table in kitchen Central heat and air conditioning Wifi and good cell service (with Verizon I know) Work from home if you must, several seating areas Large covered front porch with plenty of seating Back yard pavilion with grill and table that seats 10 Large outdoor fireplace surrounded by Adirondack chairs Fenced in backyard with a dog door leading from the house Large parking area Storage room with beach chairs, yard games, etc. you are welcome to use House sits just a couple hundred yards from small public beach
