As time went on, we realized that treehouse had become something more than just a family project — it was a sanctuary. A place where we all slowed down, disconnected from distractions, and reconnected with what truly matters.

That small family treehouse became the inspiration for something much bigger: Sanctuary Treehouse Resort — the world’s first and largest interactive treehouse resort, designed to help guests rediscover that same sense of wonder. What began as one backyard idea has grown into a 40-acre Smoky Mountain destination, welcoming visitors from around the world.

Each treehouse is handcrafted and individually themed by our team of local craftsmen — blending luxury comfort with nostalgic playfulness. From 20-foot slides and drink chutes to escape hatches, pulley systems, and themed décor, every stay is designed to spark joy, connection, and curiosity.

We fell in love with this land the very first time we stood beneath its trees. Set on 40 private acres overlooking two 18-hole championship golf courses and breathtaking views of the Great Smoky Mountains, the property felt peaceful, powerful, and full of potential — the perfect canvas for something extraordinary.

As a family, we had always dreamed of creating a place that brought people together — a destination that inspired connection, laughter, and a return to childlike wonder. When we found this property in Sevierville, Tennessee, we knew it was the one. The views, the wildlife, the feeling of remoteness and the proximity to the areas best in shopping, dining, and entertainment — it offered everything we wanted to share with others who love the Smokies as much as we do.

This thoughtful provision allows guests to simply pull up, park, and dive into their vacation without worrying about the essentials. The resort also provides unlimited firewood and fire-starting kits at no extra cost.

Each treehouse is equipped with both indoor LED fireplaces and outdoor wood-burning fireplaces, providing warmth and ambiance. For larger groups, the resort offers a community outdoor fire pit and kitchen, creating a communal space for shared moments.
