It was the best of times; it was the worst of times

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was more than happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Property description was accurate, it was clean and furnishings were of quality. However damage and wear and tear on it showed on the bathroom floor tile grouting, scuffs on walls and actual dents in woodworking. Bath is small for two people accustomed to sharing a larger space. Only 6-7 inches either side of sink. Charleston is a great city to explore but never again in March due to spring breakers packing it. In spite of our negative experiences the area lives up to its reputation for southern hospitality.

Great accommodations

Enjoyed stay here. I have never been to Wild Dunes. The beach was peaceful and not over crowded. We enjoyed sitting on the screen porch at night listening to the waves.

Nice Property Close to the Beach

Everything I needed for my stay at Wild Dunes. The rest of my family were in adjacent condos so this property made sense for just one person. Decent shape, relatively new appliances, nice screened-in back porch with a view of the pool, and a convenient set up with the bedroom/bath upstairs and living space on the ground level.

Winter beach stay

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Nice 1BR condo, full kitchen and dining/living room space. Loved the west facing screened in porch. BR and bath are upstairs and the condo has stairs up to it -not the place for bad knees. Loved the landscaping although they spray way too many chemicals (yes in November). Also BR needs blackout curtains- the blinds do not do much to get the room dark.

This property was perfect for a weekend for me and a friend. I had a late check-in as I was flying in from California and it went super smoothly. The upstairs bed was comfy and the downstairs sofa was, too. It was evident that it was nearing the end of the season as there was some obvious wear and tear on the unit. Other than that, the property was great and I would definitely book again.

Aside from a little wear and tear (mainly wobbly kitchen cabinets and an inoperable bathroom fan), the property was just right for our small family to enjoy a few days at the beach. As always, Wild Dunes didn’t disappoint. We love the bike paths and the easy beach access, when even on a busy spring break there is plenty of space on the sand.

This place was nasty. Furniture dirty, tub spigot dirty. It really needs updating. No communication with property owner. I got an email about what to do upon checkout after we left.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a wonderful time in the Isle of Palms. Mariners Walk 4B was a fantastic spot for us. Close to the ocean but calm and quiet. We basically had the beach to ourselves. The condo was clean and had a nice layout. You couldn't hear the neighbors through the walls so that was a bonus. The only thing that really needing addressing were the air intake outside the bathroom and the bathroom vent. Both were unbelievably dusty. Otherwise, everything was clean and in working order. We would happily rent Mariners Walk 4B again in the future.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The condo was very convenient but poorly maintained, 1 - the upstairs bedroom air did not work. I called the next morning and it was repaired promptly. 2 - that same evening after a day at the beach we found the tub was plugged and wouldn't drain, I personally used a plunger found under the sink to unclog as we didn't have time to wait for maintenance. 3 - the management needs to have an exterminator treat the condominium, I killed 3 Roach's during my stay.

First floor is very dark - doesn't get much sunlight. Bedroom - lots of natural light. Condo needs updating. Carpet/LR furniture new, but bedroom not so much. Mattress needs replacing. Headboard not connected to bed or wall. Noisy refrigerator. Peeling paint. Construction issues with cabinets/banisters pulling away from wall. Needs painting throughout. Would not return. Photos don't show true condition of condo. Needs some TLC.

New comfortable carpet in LR/DR area and on stairs, new kitchen - beautiful and functional. When I looked at pictures I thought with the yellow walls that it might be outdated, but it was really a pleasant yellow and a great place. You could see the ocean a tad from the corner of the sofa (as you look out the porch to the left). Pool and ambiance with large live oak and other smaller live oak trees was a neat contrast to the starkness sometimes of the common areas of other places at Wild Dunes. The bedroom is upstairs, but that wasn't inconvenient for us. Shower, draining, toilet - all were fine. I saw some reviews that seemed a bit negative, so I was a little curious as to what we'd have. We've stayed at a lot of places in Wild Dunes, and we'd stay here again in a heartbeat.

They do not hold the plug in the outlet and sometimes they "spark". This is a very inexpensive fix that should have already been done. It is sad to think that you charge so much and that is definitely a problem.

For young couple!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was somewhat unhappy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Mariners walk 2A was fine for younger couple but not for seniors! First of all we were under the impression that this unit was oceanfront. It was actually off to the side with no ocean view. We were not aware that the only bathroom was upstairs and for a senior couple that was very difficult. The drain in the tub was clogged with hair and the lightbulbs in the bathroom went out during our stay. Also the bed linens should feel new, like we are the first to sleep on them. We would not rent this unit again.
