It's perfect for enjoying shady neighborhood walks and miles of amazing open water sunset views! Treat your family of up to 14 people and 2 dogs to a newly completed home that has a boat dock with pontoon boat lift, ski/wake boat lift, and 2 PWC lifts. Enjoy our kayaks, paddleboard, beach, en-suite bathrooms for all bedrooms, private guest cottage, fully furnished kitchen with gas range and blender and coffee bar, 2 refrigerators, ping pong, EV charger, bed linens, bath and beach towels, and more!

This is a fantastic place to bring your family!

The accommodations are amazing, the owner has created a beautiful, warm place filled with hospitality and attention to detail. The sunrises and sunsets are amazing. This is truly a place where you can build memories with family or friends.

Easter Family Vacation

The Lucky Duck lake house is absolutely wonderful! It is exactly what you want in a lake house. Beautiful views of the lake, excellent outdoor seating areas, great amenities, great location, and excellent communication with the owner. Amazing House

I've stayed at dozens of rentals over my life and this by far the nicest, cleanest, and most well stocked place I've ever stayed at. There were so many small touches that made it nicer. Electric automatic shades, high quality kitchen appliances, everything labeled, and probably 30 or life jackets to choose from at the dock. I could go on and on. The owner was very nice and proactive in making sure everything was great for our stay. The view was amazing.

Family Get-together

We had 13 people ranging from 4 to 86, and each family had good size bedrooms with their own bathrooms. The kitchen and bathrooms had plenty of extra supplies. All enjoyed going out on the kayaks, fishing off the boat dock and spending a lot of time swimming and doing gamesThe only issue we had was that for our 2 older adults, the walkway down to the fire pit and dock was steep and had no rails for them to hold onto, but everything else was wonderful, a great time was had by all.The owners were available for all issues and responded back quickly to all of our questions.

Christmas at the Lake

The Lucky Duck is a stunning and amazing home on the Lake. Everything you need for a wonderful home away from home is there. We enjoyed the entire stay from when we drove up to the property to the day we left. Our children and grandchildren loved every moment and we were able to put our Christmas tree up so that we was able to have an amazing Christmas at the lake. John is an awesome host.

Stay at The Lucky Duck

The Lucky Duck was everything you could want for the perfect lake vacation. The home was lovely, grounds were beautiful, wonderful porch for watching the perfect sunsets and everything was spotless. We were greeted by the caretaker who was very helpful. I have to emphasize again that the house had everything you needed for the perfect stay.

The Best We Have Ever Had

This was the best trip we have ever had. not only was the house perfect with everything we needed but the view was stunning. The kindness of the house manager and the owner to even ship back to us a lost sweatshirt at no charge is unheard of. thank you guys so much for allowing us to stay at your beautiful home.

The Lucky Duck was perfect

The Lucky Duck was perfect for us. Main lake location in a wide area kept waves down and boat lifts kept boats clean and protected. If you have rented on the lake you know spider webs are everywhere, well not here, this place was CLEAN! Boathouse was spotless and webfree. The house was well stocked and we all loved the welcome basket. The fact that they allow dogs and the place is so nice is a huge plus. Anyway, this is top on our list so far for Gaston. Thanks John and crew.

Exceptional stay at The Lucky Duck

My family and I just enjoyed a phenomenal week at The Lucky Duck. The property was immaculately maintained and of the highest quality. The Lucky Duck is equipped with absolutely everything you will need for an amazing stay. The kitchen was 110% stocked, and the use of the paddle board and kayaks was certainly an added plus. The access to deep water is perfect for swimming and water sports. In short, this was as close to a perfect rental property as you could possible come. I hope we are able to visit again soon. The property provided an opportunity to create lasting family members which will last for years. Thank you!!

Lake Gaston Birthday Celebration

Don’t know where to begin, this property was spectacular in so many ways. House beautifully appointed and just about brand new. Owner had so many things stocked. that made packing easy. Quality materials everywhere. Beautifully landscaped, stone paths, and trex decking. Dock beautiful with lots of life jackets provided with kayaks and paddle board. A stone fire pit with wood supplied and lots of chairs. View of lake was fantastic. Everything they advertised and more. I would rate it a 10.

Perfect Family Vacation Spot!

The Lucky Duck house is a perfect family retreat! The property offers stunning views of the lake and plenty to do while you're there. This is quite honestly the best rental property that we've ever stayed in! It has a feel like you're staying in someone's home rather than an investment property. The owners are extremely responsive and accommodating. Everything you can see in the pictures of this place is absolutely true. This property deliveries on every aspect. Our kids loved the private beach and could not get enough of jumping off of the dock. Our family dinners were almost always from the grill and eaten outside looking at the lake. The owners’ attention to detail and warm hospitality ensured that our family vacation was perfect. This lake house is truly a magical spot for creating unforgettable family memories. We will be returning!

Sister’s Big 5-0 Bday!

Stunning is an understatement! We arrived just in time to catch sunset on our first night which was absolutely amazing. The property is so beautiful, immaculately landscaped, the floor plan is super conducive to accommodating a large group with plenty of space to dine together or sit and enjoy the view of the lake or sit by the fire. Which by the way the host, John stocked us up with plenty of firewood as well as checking on us without being intrusive. The kitchen was the most well appointed rental I have ever visited. We throughly enjoyed our stay, it was definitely a very special weekend made even better by the most perfect accommodations! The view was spectacular, it was also great to have use of the kayaks and ping pong table. Very nice outdoor grill and dining area. I could go on and on. But when your 13 year old nephew tells you the house was “perfect for family togetherness” you know you picked a winner!

Thoroughly Impressed

Had a great time at this beautiful location. The entire home from top to bottom is well manicured and did not disappoint. Upon arrival, we found a nice welcoming gift bag with goodies and souvenirs. During our stay, we took advantage of toys in the boathouse while fishing, built a fire in the firepit (our host supplied plenty of firewood) and cooked out on the grill. Never even made it to playing ping pong or any of the board games offered. Our host, John, was responsive whenever we had questions which were very few because of the detailed house manual provided. We enjoyed neighborhood walks each morning with warm receptions from just about every passing person or car. My favorite space was the private beach complete with two adirondack chairs perfectly positioned to view the evening sunset. As a photographer, I can truly say that there are an unlimited amount of areas to create regardless of your subject(s). Overall, there was nothing that we needed that was not provided. Thoroughly impressed.

From the moment we booked the Lucky Ducky Lake House on VRBO, it was clear we were in for a treat. John and Ann, the hosts, set the tone for an exceptional stay with their clear communication, swift response times, and incredibly friendly demeanor. Their attention to detail and guest satisfaction is unmatched, making our experience smooth and enjoyable from start to finish. The house itself is a gem. Being new, it offers a fresh, clean environment that is immediately welcoming. It is well-appointed, blending modern amenities with charming decorative touches – the ducks scattered throughout the house added a playful and homely vibe that we absolutely loved. The layout caters to both group activities and individual relaxation, featuring plenty of nice sitting areas and individual balconies that allow for private moments with stunning views. Outdoor spaces at Lucky Ducky are just as thoughtfully designed. The fire pit became a favorite gathering spot for our group, offering ample room for everyone to enjoy the warmth and camaraderie. Although our visit was in February, we were impressed by the lakeside amenities, including a well-maintained dock with two boat slips and spots for two personal watercrafts. We are already planning a return trip in the warmer months to take full advantage of these facilities. The location of Lucky Ducky is truly special. The Lucky Duck has been under construction for 2 years and just opened in late summer 2023. Everything from the boat dock to the appliances to the furnishings and decor are new and up to date. The Lucky Duck's west-facing Main Lake view offers beautiful views at all hours, but is truly breathtaking at sunset! You can enjoy that view every evening from the outdoor seating on the main deck, or seating on the individual bedroom decks and patio, and the dining and living area. The waterfront boasts a beach area, a boat dock with swim platform, a pontoon boat lift, a ski / wakeboarding / runabout boat lift, 2 PWC lifts, 2 kayaks, a stand-up paddleboard, lounge chairs, floats, and a full set of ski vests and ski belts in a range of sizes. The property sleeps up to 14 people, plus up to 3 infants in guest-provided portable cribs, and 2 dogs. It has a Guest Cottage that sleeps 2 in a Queen bed with en-suite bath. The Main House has 1 downstairs Queen bedroom with en-suite bath, 1 upstairs Queen bedroom with en-suite baths and its own balcony deck, 1 upstairs King bedroom with en-suite bath, 1 King Primary/Master bedroom with Queen sleeper sofa and en-suite bath and its own balcony deck, 2 small upstairs Flex Rooms that each have a Twin XL bed, and a downstairs hallway full bathroom. It has 2 sets of washer/dryers and 2 refrigerator/freezers, an eating porch with oversized gas grill and side burners, and a fully furnished kitchen with coffee bar, gas range, blender, full set of cookware and utensils, and full set of dishes and bar ware. There is ample paved parking with access to an EV charger, and your vacation experience is more secure with a full-house generator. Wi-fi, books, puzzles, games, and ping pong are provided for indoor fun, and we can help you connect with sources for boat and PWC rentals, wakeboard/wakesurfing lessons, bike rentals, and more.
