The Carriage House - Historic getaway in the heart of the city!

This cozy, historic getaway is soon to become your new favorite spot to enjoy "The Little Apple." Built in 1859 by K-State's first President Joseph Denison, this newly renovated private guest house is located on the West side of the main home.

Prime location! You are only:

Welcome to The Carriage House - where the past meets the present! The home was built by K-State's first president Joseph Denison in 1859. Since the current owners took possession in 1994, the home has undergone major restoration.

The Carriage House is one of the attached apartments to the original Denison home. It has been updated with new luxury furniture, marble bathroom countertops.

An escape in the middle of the city! Centrally located on the West side of Manhattan, The Carriage House is the perfect spot for travelers to enjoy all of The Little Apple's amenities. The home is set up for your work trip, K-State ball game, tour of campus, or just looking to explore the city!

This was just perfect for our needs. It is well maintained. There are plenty of comfort areas throughout the place. I love the thought that went into the arrangement of space, decorations and selections of bedding and towels. It is a very cozy place to be. We had four people in our party, three adults and an older teenager, and we did not feel like we needed more space. The grounds on which this VRBO sits is lovely as well.

Beautiful Historical Home

The grounds were very beautiful . It was a 5 minute drive to the stadium for the baseball games. The cottage was quiet, and the bed was very comfortable.

Perfect place for our family!

We had an amazing stay at this great property. It is in a great location, central to anywhere you'd want to get to in Manhattan - and right next to the grocery store and several restaurants. It is also the perfect place for a family of four. We each had our own space to relax as well as to gather. The property was amazingly clean, easy to find and get to, and Kendra was great with communicating. Our trip into town was delayed to a canceled flight and Kendra was gracious and flexible regarding our stay. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen was well stocked and had everything we needed. The only recommendations we have relate to a bit outdated thermostat which was sometimes challenging to adjust. This may sound picky - but the only other suggestion would be some new seating in the family room area to accommodate a family of 4-6. Otherwise - we LOVED our stay and will definitely be back the next time we visit.

Charming home away from home!

I loved my week at the Carriage House - it was the perfect, comfortable and charming home away from home while I visited family. My sister stayed one night with me and she loved it, too. We were both delivery girls for Dunne’s Pharmacy when we were in high school/college and we had never noticed this tucked away estate property. :-)

Impeccable!

I can't think of anything that would make the Carriage House more perfect! The location is so convenient, and the grounds are lovely. It was a great place to stay with family to celebrate my son's graduation from KSU. Comfortable, beautiful and well-appointed. Plenty of extra pillows, blankets and towels. So many listings say "well-equipped kitchen," but you get there and it's not... Not the case with the Carriage House. The kitchen is great and genuinely well-equipped. I don't have any kids left to graduate, so I'll have to come up with another reason to spend a weekend in Manhattan at this truly premium property.

My spouse and I truly enjoyed our time here. Everything was as described, and we found the place welcoming and accessible. The neighborhood is perfect, with all major attractions and restaurants located within a three-mile radius. I can't emphasize enough how much fun we had.

Quiet, peaceful stay in accommodations which are exactly as shown in listing. Welcoming, friendly hosts and property owners. Everything needed for meal prep. Beautiful property in convenient location. Would definitely return!

KSU All-Star Band Day

We stayed here to be close to KSU and the stadiums for All-Star Band Day. It was the cutest little cottage!!! It was a wonderful location and so easy to get to campus and Bill Snyder Stadium! There was a Starbucks on the corner as anything else you may need close by, but you felt tucked away in the country! It was clean and Kendra had wonderful communication with any questions we had! Highly recommend! We will define my stay here again if we need to stay the night in MHK!
