Unwind under the stars in our cedar hot tub or enjoy the peaceful outdoor setting after a day of adventure. Ideal for K-State game weekends, golfing, time at the winery, or kids’ sporting events - close to it all, yet wonderfully secluded.

Relaxing getaway

This property has everything you could want in a country getaway! The amenities are top-notch, and the decor creates such a warm and inviting atmosphere. It’s the perfect spot to relax and recharge, with all the comforts of home. Whether you're looking for a peaceful escape or a cozy place to gather with friends and family, this retreat has it all. Beautiful location along a country road near manhattan. Perfect for a large family and a dog. Country Atmosphere but very practical stocked kitchen. The best room is the large family room with two walls of glass to view the fields and Wildcat Creek. There are ample lounge chairs outside, a fire pit and a large Blackstone grille with griddle. We cooked our three meals for 12 people on the Blackstone and the kitchen.

Wow,! As advertised and more! This property was perfect for gathering family and friends for our son's graduation from Kansas State. Withinin minutes of everything, yet felt like you were miles away as it was peaceful and relaxing. The cedar hot tub was a welcome addition and well-maintained. Kitchen was well stocked with everything needed to not only prepare but serve and host meals. Anyone who loves to cook will appreciate not only the kitchen but the Blackstone flat top grill. Bedrooms had enough space, closets. And beds were comfortable. Screened in porch or adirondack chairs were ideal for morning coffee or reading a book. Living room and sectional provided a large space to hang out and watch some lacrosse. Kendra and Kendall were super hosts!! Definitely five stars and answered any questions we had timely and willing to make our stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. The little details are not missed by these hosts or the property. Definitely booking again when needed. Highly recommend.

Quick trip to Manhappiness

We made a quick trip to Manhattan to celebrate our son's birthday. We were looking for a place to stay for 2 sets of grandparents and our family. My wife found the Sherwood Farmhouse listing and we're very glad she did! It's a beautiful older home that has been remodeled and furnished with everything you may need both inside and out! Kendra was a great host and responded quickly to any request we made! We will definitely consider staying here again the next time we travel to Manhattan!

We all absolutely loved our stay at Sherwood Farmhouse. The house is lovely, unique and homey. We enjoyed lounging around together in the family room and we often found ourselves wandering around the house taking in all the creative decor. There is a lot of attention to detail, like a coffee bar with super cute mugs, two types of coffee makers and coffee to go with each. The place is comfortable and we found ourselves eager to return to it each night after our dinner plans. The beds were comfortable and there were so many towels, we felt like we were at a spa. We'd definitely stay at Sherwood Farmhouse again, and we'll tell our friends to do the same.

Sherwood Farmhouse sits on five acres along Wildcat Creek, right on the edge of Manhattan. It's the rare spot where you get true country peace and quiet while still being just minutes from K-State, Aggieville, restaurants and shops. We fell in love with the history of this 1930s stone farmhouse and the land around it. We wanted to share a place where guests can slow down, spread out and enjoy the outdoors without giving up modern comfort or convenience.

Evenings are the best part: soaking in the cedar hot tub, making s'mores around the fire pit, or relaxing on the screened porch under a sky full of stars. You're only a couple of miles from Liquid Art Winery and close to popular wedding venues like Prairiewood and Blue Sage Barn, so it's a favorite for wedding parties, girls' weekends and family getaways. What we enjoy most is how peaceful it is. Guests often say it feels like a true escape, even though town is just a short drive away.
