The river house is a secluded timber framed off-grid cabin powered by solar panels and generator back up with 2 bedrooms, a sleeping loft with a ping pong table, a fireplace and wood stove, modern kitchen and 1.5 baths. It borders the Green Mountain National Forest and has hiking and skiing trails out the door, with a small stream a minute away. The home is a half-mile up a logging road that is passable in the warm months and is hike-in in the wintertime. We generally can provide renters and their luggage a ride up the road if their vehicles or weather does not allow. The cabin is 20 minutes from charming Bristol and Warren (in the summer months) and is very close to beautiful swimming holes in the New Haven River and desired day hikes along the long trail. It is about a 45 minute drive to Sugarbush in the wintertime. This is for guests seeking to unwind in the wilderness without the sounds and distractions of civilization while enjoying the comforts of modern amenities.
