Walk to the lake or hike the trails in North Lake Tahoe!

Located in Tahoe Vista, this charming cabin is the ideal North Lake Tahoe setting with views of Snow Creek and surrounding forest! Newly renovated 3 bedroom, 2 bath home accessible by a private road with limited neighbors. 1/2 mile walk to Moondunes beach or National beach or enjoy a hike outside the front door, with an easy 7 mile drive to Northstar Ski Resort. Enjoy evenings and stargazing on the front deck. Inside, downstairs you will find a nice open kitchen, living and dining space a queen bedroom and full bathroom. Upstairs you will find another living space, king bedroom, and a bedroom with a twin bed and twin bunk beds and a full bathroom with laundry. The main home is 3 bedroom 2 bath and a back cabin can be rented for an additional cost. If interested... Check out my other listing for references: VRBO # 865849!
If you are adverse to quiet, one lane dirt roads, limited neighbors, and have a hard time navigating weather this might not be the place for you!
Please know that VRBO does not line item rental fees, I have a nightly fee and county taxes are 12%, VRBO charges at least 6 % and we do have a pass thru fee for the cleaners that is also taxed 12%. What seems like an overpriced vacation is not as profitable as it was in the past, The county is making our great stay very expensive to maintain and rent.
We love Lake Tahoe and have enjoyed the property over the years as our kids have grown and spend less time there, we opted to share our property with others.
Tahoe Vista is 3 square miles of pure bliss... unlike nearby Kings Beach Tahoe Vista is not nearly as busy! You can enjoy the beaches, National or Moondune, enjoy the North Lake Tahoe National Park or take a walk in the Tahoe National Forrest just steps out the front door.

Prepare for mountain or winter weather driving in winter months. This may mean Four wheel drive with snow tires or chains. Check weather or road reports. AWD and 4WD necessary to get up the mountain roads and some driveways in the winter months.

Other things to Note:
* Renters must be 25+
* This is a non-smoking home.
* Maximum Occupancy per county ordinance is 7 adults.
* Use of the BBQ is not guaranteed in winter months, due to limited access.
* Like most homes/condos in Tahoe, this one does not have Air Conditioning. There will be fans available for your use!
* Your safety matters. This property may features exterior security cameras. The cameras are outward facing and do not look into interior spaces. The cameras is primarily for viewing the cleaner coming/going and bears!

This is our new favorite cabin. The check in process was super easy, there was great communication with the host and the cabin was absolutely adorable! It was super clean and well equipped. We will definitely be staying again.

Arrived close to 4pm and had no problems entering. The kitchen & rooms were clean. The furnishings were nice and the supply of dishware, glasses, cutlery, pots/pans was adequate. Would be nice to have some basic containers for leftovers. Dining table and family room and bedrooms worked well for 4 adults, 3 young kids. Quiet neighborhood and close enough to walk to the beach.

House was great. Loved the location and kitchen well stocked. Easy to cook and eat on porch as well as not a long walk to beach and town. (10-15 min walk). Owner is super responsive and very nice.

Perfect spot

The house was perfect for our family of 7. The house was clean and had all the supplies we needed for a comfortable stay. The house is situated in a quiet neighborhood in the forest and an easy walk to the lake. We will definitely stay here again. Thanks Liz for sharing your beautiful home.

Walking distance to beaches

We enjoyed the proximity to the beaches, especially Moon Dune Beach, which was a large sandy beach, only a short walk from the house. There are many good restaurants close by as well as Safeway for convenience. The cabin is nicely decorated. The heated floors were a luxurious touch! The bathrooms lacked shampoo/conditioner/body wash and we did run out of toilet paper towards the end of our stay. The towels and linens were not good quality. The house, especially the carpets, could use a deep clean. The biggest issue was the mouse that we spotted running around the family room one evening, scared the pants off of me, and made me want to leave, luckily it was our last night there.

A Hospitality

I can not say enough about this fantastic weekend. Liz was readily available and very quick to respond with answers and information. The house is in great shape and in a very quiet area. We all had a great time. The loft area was a surprise and great from the kids as the adults hung out downstairs.

Fun little get away. Perfect home

This is our second time staying here. This house is in the perfect location. There is a Safeway close by to get all essentials. It’s located in a quiet neighborhood where you can walk around. Our kids had their own little sleigh area and our dog can run around. The house is super cozy with all the amenities. Heated bathroom floors are perfect when you come back in from being in the snow. We just love it here. Lots of delicious food options near by as well.

Great Stay

We loved this cabin and our stay. Our host was very accommodating and responsive! Fully stocked kitchen with appliances and dishes, pots etc that we needed during our stay. Great location and proximity to the lake and Northstar. We will be coming back :)

Hidden Gem

This is what our family calls glamping. The exterior is very rustic and unpretentious. The interior is equally unpretentious, unexpecting with its beautiful, tasteful, and thoughtful design that includes all of the home comforts. This place is tucked away from the mainstream of the neighborhood, allowing you to appreciate and hear the sounds of nature. It's a very easy walk to the lake, as well as an easy drive to the sites and scenery around the lake. The owner, Liz, was communicative and responsive to my questions leading up to our day of arrival. Thanks for sharing your rental, and for making our first VRBO experience a pleasant/wonderful one.

Excellent Lake Tahoe Cabin

This cabin was an excellent experience for us. The location was close by to all of our event needs in Kings Beach in Tahoe Vista. The cabin was super clean and very well equipped for our group. I was really impressed with the communication from the owner and hopefully be able to stay here again in the future.

Great Location and Property in Tahoe Vista!

Cute cabin that is tucked away in nice neighborhood. There were plenty of easy hiking trails very close to the property. It was also a short walk through the neighborhood to the lake and beaches. The property itself had a very nice kitchen and family room area. All the rooms had comfortable beds and the outdoor porch space was especially nice for sitting outside and enjoying the cool mountain evening/mornings. Liz was great with the communication as well and answered all our questions and provided us with great information about the area. Perfect stay for our family.

Great Location

It was just me, my wife, and our dog, so we knew we had reserved a much bigger place than we needed, but we are so glad we picked this 3 BR, 2 bath cabin. The cabin is down a gravel dead end street and adjacent to wooded trails that were really nice for our dog walks. The seclusion and super convenient location makes this cabin outstanding. Although we did not cook meals, the kitchen appears to be fully stocked with all the cookware you would need. We only used the toaster oven and coffe machine, along with the frig.

Fantastic home

5 star property in the best neighborhood. The host was very communicative and easy to reach out to. House was very comfy and had ever amenity you would need. Our week long stay felt like we were at home and our dog absolutely loved the front yard. We are a family of 5 with 3 teenagers and there was a great deal of space for all.

Beautiful home away from home!

We had the best stay! This house is in a nice area with wonderful hiking close by. The house is super nice and full of all the amenities needed. Liz our host was super sweet and communicated in the best ways possible! We would love to come back and stay during the warmer months and again during this time. Our kids had a blast and can’t wait to come back, they didn’t want to leave. Do not hesitate to stay here, you won’t regret it.

Fun dog-friendly cabin

We had a great time staying at this house in Tahoe. The cabin backs up to an open space area so it felt very private and quiet. Our dog loved running around outside! We loved the proximity to the lake, Safeway, and Gar Woods (less than 5 mins to each) The cabin was super cozy, both couches downstairs and upstairs were spacious and great for lounging. We had an awesome trip and would definitely book again!

Amazing Thanksgiving

Liz and her property exceed our expectations! Liz had wonderful communication. The house was stocked and beautiful! All aspects of the house were wonderful. The area was amazing! We mountain biked and hiked right out of the door! Great intermediate trails! Close enough to town and walked to beach. We are truly grateful for Liz and this property as we celebrated a our first Thanksgiving without my husband. It made the holiday a little easier. Thank you again!
