Spacious home located in a quiet neighborhood

We enjoyed spending three nights in this lovely home. It was perfect for our family of six. We enjoyed many games of pool and hanging out in the hot tub. This was a great spot to spread out and prepare for a two week trip on the Grand Canyon.

Wonderful stay!

My siblings and I booked this home for our Grand Canyon vacation and it was absolutely perfect. The home is incredibly spacious, beautiful and everything we needed was provided. Communication with Viktoria was like talking with an old friend and she went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. Her dedication to her guest is exemplary and most appreciated by us first time visitors to Flagstaff. Also, the home is located in a safe, quiet and nice neighborhood with plenty of places to eat, food markets, etc within close proximity. If I am ever in the area again this home will be my go to for my stay.

nice house, homwowner difficult to work with

This house was nice, however when there were issues with inaccurate information that had been posted on the original listing , the homeowner was unwilling to resolve the issues. The original posting stated that the home was a 5 bedroom, when in fact it was only a 4 bedroom. The room that the homeowner listed as a 5th bedroom was actually a large closet. Workers entered the dwelling while the renters were still occupying the house. Direct TV did not work in the downstairs family room.

Unfortunately this guest failed to read the house description correctly. All bedrooms are listed and I have converted a separate small room into a playroom. I never listed this playroom as a bedroom, nor did I ever intend to be misleading. This client checked in a few days before Christmas and emailed on Christmas Eve stating the playroom was not a bedroom and she wanted this corrected on the VRBO website. I immediately called VRBO and was told the house was advertised correctly, and that the playroom should be listed in the bedroom section so guests are aware that there is a separate playroom. This guest was not satisfied with this solution and proceeded to ask for a $1,700 discount because she felt that the listing was misleading. I explained she was welcome to vacate the property and would refund her for the days she would not occupy the property (9 days). She declined this offer as they loved the house, location, etc. A few weeks after their departure she emailed threatening to give me a one rating on VRBO and potentially take me to small claims court if I did not refund her $1,700. In regards to the worker on the property this was the spa service, which comes once a week. Since these guests were occupying the property for two weeks they may have observed him. However, this was disclosed up front and was acceptable when they made their reservation. As far as the Direct TV in the basement not working, this is the first mention of this. It would have been easily rectified had she brought it to my attention. As you can see from other reviews this was an isolated incident.

Don't waste your time or money on this property

The house was a huge disappointment. We contacted the site manager, Viktoria, using the phone number listed in the handbook left on the kitchen counter. When I called the number listed in the handbook, twice, I was told it was a wrong number. I emailed her twice, again, no response. The house was dirty, light bulbs burned out all over the house. No nightstands in the bedroom we stayed in nor were there lamps. The house is dark, especially with burned out lightbulbs. The freezer had a whole drawer filled with frozen ice from a previous rental. The kitchen was woefully under provisioned. There were 4 forks ( plenty of small salad forks) No platters, salad servers. The cookie sheets were filthy covered in grease. For the cost of this house and the way it was advertised, the kitchen was totally unacceptable. I really think the owners should refund some of the rental as It was dirty, dark and underprovisioned.

The tenant threatened to give me a bad review prior to checking in because I wouldn’t refund their deposit when they attempted to cancel their reservation the day before checking in. · Unfortunately, I did not receive any emails, and the phone number in the handbook is correct. Further, my husband’s phone number is also listed and he did not receive any phone calls. · I personally inspect the home prior to tenants checking in. The statement that the home was dirty is simply false. · I checked the lights following the tenant’s departure and not one was out. Several lights in the home have a dimming lever on the side of the light switch. Perhaps the tenant was unaware of this. Further, there is a total of approximately 80 lights in the home. Therefore, it shouldn’t be too big of an issue if a few lights go out. · There are nightstands, lamps and ample lighting in every room. Perhaps the tenant is getting my home confused with another one they stayed in. That is the only explanation I can come up with for that particular comment. · The Ice in the freezer drawer is purposely left for tenant’s convenience. · The kitchen is fully equipped with commercial grade appliances and cookware. As you can see from previous reviews, most tenants have provided very positive feedback. In summary, most of this tenant’s comments are simply false, and are most likely a result of the fact that I would not provide a refund when they tried to cancel their reservation. My policy clearly states that cancelations must be made 90 days in advance. I do my best to be flexible with customers who need to cancel, but in this particular case I was only given a 24 hour notice. As you can see from previous reviews, most tenants are very satisfied with the property, the amenities it has to offer and the customer service they receive.

Worst VRBO experience so far

We stayed at the property over Labor Day weekend 2021. While there, we experienced a flood from the septic system that flooded the downstairs living room. We have a large family so we had people sleeping in the bedrooms downstairs. Owners could not get a plumber out until the next morning so we were told not to flush toilets or take showers until it was fixed. The owner assured me that we would be compensated for our trouble and their insurance company would be contacting us. I have never heard from the insurance company, and my repeated messages to the owner have gone unanswered. Definitely would not stay here again and don't recommend anyone else does either.

GREAT FAMILY HOME

We loved staying at this gorgeous and very spacious home in Flagstaff. We used the house as our home base while we were exploring the area. The neighborhood is quiet and well kept. House is very conveniently located just a short drive from many restaurants. Viktoria was very accommodating when we needed a late check out.

Family time!

The housed suited our needs for our trip to the Grand Canyon but the house needs some attention. There were minor things that need to be fixed. Some bathrooms did not have trash cans. Whoever does the cleaning after guest leaves needs to do a better job. There were bandaids on the floor of the one of the showers and one of the beds only had one sheet on it. I feel the picture of the jacuzzi was very misleading. I expected it to be larger. Also could not figure out how to work jacuzzi, no instructions that we saw. The downstairs air conditioner did not seem to work.

Great family stay

This place is perfect for a large family. It was so perfect for my grandkids. Very kid friendly! The only downside was the pots and pans are not really usable. But overall great house, awesome neighborhood .

Stay here only if you must!

Upon arriving at the property we were greeted with blue painters tape surrounding the oven, which would not close and did not work our entire stay. Upon heading out back to check out the back yard and pool (there is no pool, what you see in the photo is a hot tub), the door knob to the back porch fell off in our hands. Seeing that we couldn’t cook dinner at all there during our entire stay, we decided to at least shoot some pool on the pool table, only to find out that ever so single pool cue tip was broken off. Honestly one of the worst VRBO stays we’ve ever had. 11 people in a house where the doors don’t work, entertainment doesn’t work and food prep facilities don’t work. Owner made multiple offers promises to remedy the situation during our stay, but never followed through. Renter beware…

Not accurate listing

First time using vrbo and I probably will not again unfortunately. House was nice except that the oven did not work and we did not find out until after buying food. I messaged owner and she said she would send handyman asap. They didn't come the whole time but I honestly would let that slide by itself. Amenity listed is lap swimming pool/hot tub. I searched for a place with a hot tub so this was a big disappointment. It stank. I hope we do not get sick from sitting in it waiting for jets to work. There is no way someone can swim laps in this - the motor for the jets is not strong enough. I messaged owner about it smelling and we did find some chlorine ourselves under the grill. There was no instructions on chlorine so I messaged owner she responded with a nonsensical answer. (It was granular chlorine) she replied one capsule. I said it is not capsules it is granular and she just said "yes!" So the hot tub thing should not be listed I don't think until they can clean it or fix. Cleaning left to be desired. I used to clean rentals myself so I'm not overly picky but the previous tenants left cigarette butts and cigars by the garage even though the property is non smoking. There was also dog poop in the back along with tobacco lozenges even though property is no pets. That stuff doesn't bother me too much just that we had to throw out the cigarettes and a dental flosser left on patio table was kinda gross. I told owner about the food left in the recycling bin in the garage which made whole garage stink and she told us to move it outside, which was fine I was worried we would be blamed for these things though. So VRBO is basically Lyft/Uber. Staying in hotels going forward

Would definitely stay here again!

Excellent home! We used this is as our home base to visit surrounding areas and it was perfect! We had two families with 5 teenagers. The basement is completely set up as a second home. One family took the upstanding the other downstairs. The pool table was an added hit a d provided hour of entertainment. The yard is well maintained and perfect to sit at for early morning coffee or after dinner drink. The jacuzzi was large enough for all 9 to sit in and relax. Well stocked and clean. Viktoria response to all our questions before and during our stay. Thanks again!

Perfect Stay for Teenagers

The property was perfect for teenagers. The home abounds with space allowing teenagers to have a floor of their own. The pool table, hot tube, outdoor space, as well as the neighborhood provide opportunity for safe fun times. We made endless memories here a perfect Vrbo stay.

Flagstaff Holiday

This is a lovely, spacious home situated in the pines with a small woods nearby. The open spaces in the home allow for large families to gather and the bedrooms provide comfortable, quiet times. It's a short drive to old town Flagstaff and just a bit longer jaunt to find snow in the mountains. Most enjoyable place for a short family holiday!

Even better than we expected! Super spacious, clean, and comfortable. Viktoria could not have been easier to deal with. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen/gathering area amazing. Loved the large hot tub, and the decor added to our Southwest vacation feel. We were visiting family in Flagstaff, but this ended being a great base from which to visit the Grand Canyon and Sedona (and WAY less crowded than Sedona). Location is in one of the nicer neighborhoods of Flagstaff. I saw another review mention the furniture being in bad shape, but we did not find this to be the case. Overall, we LOVED it. No hesitation to recommend staying here.

Large, updated and comfortable home in Flagstaff

Overall, we really liked this rental and we found it to be both comfortable and convenient. Our group was comprised of two middle aged professional couples and one 16 year old. The home is updated nicely and the beds were comfortable. The owner/manager was very responsive to our emails with one exception at the end of our stay (which I will mention below), and she even offered to let us do an early arrival since our flight came in so early, but due to poor cell service (TMobile) we didn't get the message until it was too late :( Definitely not the owner's fault! The last full day of our visit, I messaged her to say that we plugged in a recliner in the living room so that we could use the auto-recline feature on the chair. When we tried to put the recliner back down, the electrical connection failed and the chair stayed open. My husband and I were so concerned about trying to close the chair that we went to Lowe's and purchased a patch for the cord because there was an area that had been worn through and patched with electrical tape, and we assumed this was the reason the chair wouldn't close. My husband worked on the cord for about two hours. Despite his efforts the chair would never close, so I messaged Viktoria to alert her to this and ask if there was anything else we could try, but she never answered my message. I would really have appreciated a response to my message, because it left me worrying about whether we would be blamed for the chair's failure. Not what you want to worry about when you are on a much needed vacation! No one in our group did anything to harm or misuse the chair, and I'm hopeful that the owner was aware of the issue and knows that we didn't damage the chair, but since she did not respond to my message I have no idea if that is the case. Aside from that matter and some minor cleaning shortfalls (none of the cleaning shortfalls would prevent us from staying there again) we have positive memories of our Flagstaff trip and we appreciate being able to enjoy this large home and the wonderful spa.

Great location

Coming in with children to Arizona for the first time I was worried we wouldn’t be able to find a supermarket near by. The house is centrally located in the middle of everything, there’s no driving too far to go anywhere. The house was perfect, it’s very large, clean and comfortable. We were all very satisfied with our selection and will definitely stay there again.
