This was a cozy, well appointed home with lots of nature and outdoor things to do close by. We loved the Belmont Farm pumpkim festival, and lunch around Mathews and Gwynn Island.

We enjoyed our stay at this house. Rebecca, the host, ensures you have all the amenities needed while staying there. The home was clean and welcoming. We enjoyed the walk down to the dock each day we were there. It was quiet and peaceful waterfront community. We really enjoyed our stay!

Family Vacation

Nice cozy house with an ideal location huge yard with own private pier that has amazing views. this place is phenominal for dog owners feeling very welcome.

Nice Stay

The house was very clean and had all that one might need. Very nice stay. Kitchen was very well stocked. If these during the summer weekends, we would recommend the Farmer’s Market in Mathews and Urbana.

Great little retreat!

We absolutely loved our stay at this fantastic home in Moon! It’s even more beautiful than the pictures show and felt like home from the moment we arrived. The kitchen is well appointed and spacious, there are plenty of extra towels and blankets, and the pier down the trail was such a perfect bonus! We also loved how dog friendly the home was and our two pups felt at ease too. Highly recommend this beautiful spot!

Cozy Quiet Stay

We decided to take a last minute weekend getaway & we’re so happy to find Lily’s Neck Retreat! The property was well kept and the home was warm, inviting & clean. The kitchen is well equipped with a cute coffee & tea bar! The location was convenient to Williamsburg or Chesapeake Bay with dog friendly beaches near by. Rebecca was quick to respond and very accommodating! I highly recommend booking this cozy home!

Check in couldn't have been easier. The kitchen was well equipped with basic spices, pots and pans, coffee, tea and appliances. Smooth Wi-Fi access. The house was clean, the bedding and towels were clean and my husband with a bad back found the mattresses comfortable.I will say that we ended up buying gallon jugs of water to drink because we found the tap water to be too metallic tasting. But that wasn't a big issue.The beach nearby was lovely for a nice dunk in the Bay. Very family friendly and shallow waters. Small shops and restaurants are nearby and Glouster is a half hour drive if you need a bigger city feel.

Fantastic!

We took a trip to Moon/Mathews County for a short weekend getaway and were not disappointed. Our communication with Rebecca was smooth and she was quick to answer any questions. The home was beyond cozy and charming and we had everything we needed to fully enjoy the property and the weekend. Overall, a perfect experience!

The house was as advertised but there were issues. One bedroom had a bump out extending down from the ceiling that created a dangerous situation for someone to hit their head. Found most windows on the first floor unlocked. Dogs located in a kennel across the street barked constantly.

Cute and clean

The house is an interesting mashup of arts and crafts and MCM with a little coastal flair thrown in for good measure. Plenty of space to spread out, home lives larger than it looks. Very clean which is my #1 criteria. Loved the history you could see in the house. Quiet neighborhood, easily walkable. For us, a huge benefit was being able to bring our dogs--including leashes for us to use (I had brought really long leads in the hopes we'd be outside more). Weather was not ideal for us so we were unable to walk the path to the water. We visit the area frequently, this is a very convenient location to Mathews and Haven Beach. Hope to visit again soon!
