3 BR Bay Home w Private Dock & all the Amenities

Half Shell Haven: an escape to the land and sea perfectly outfitted for enjoying the fruits of both, in what we like to call "low country" Virginia. The Haven is a beautifully maintained, open concept home with 3 bds and 2 baths that can comfortably sleep 8. A full kitchen and dining area (in- and outdoors) are at your disposal for enjoying the local bounty with friends and family. The backyard includes a game shed (with bar!), a hot tub and a private dock for crabbing or kayaking, or both.

The space:
Half Shell Haven has all the amenities to make you and yours feel right at home during your stay. The outdoors give access to the best of both worlds, with the private dock and waterfront access as well as trails throughout the wooded property.

The living room includes a TV with access to multiple streaming services, including Netflix, Disney and Fubo. The living room is wrapped in walls of windows to showcase the beautiful setting; a sliding door opens to the patio (with dining table and hot tub). The wood stove is available for use, subject to the owner’s express prior approval.

The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you’d need to prepare a home cooked meal, if that’s the plan. Full pots / pans and baking ware set, as well as pantry staples. Available for use is a Keurig coffee machine, a toaster, hand mixer and waffle maker. An island with chairs for two is available for a quick bite.

Behind the sliding barn door is the washing and drying machine, along with a filtered water system that makes hot and cold water and ice.

The custom handmade dining table seats six and the dining area is flanked on one side by two leather chairs perfect for an after dinner aperitif.

There are three bedrooms: the primary bedroom, with en suite bathroom and private patio, has a queen bed; the second bedroom has a queen bedroom; and the third bedroom has a day bed with a trundle bed, both of which provide single beds.

The third bedroom with day bed works just as perfectly as an office, with the day bed for a comfortable seat and a desk for when more focus might be demanded… WiFi is quick and reliable. Samsung monitor added. Watch TV or hook up your computer for a larger screen view!

The second bathroom is a full bathroom with bathtub.

The outdoors will keep your family equally entertained. A covered porch faces the front yard, while a back porch area, with picnic table and hot tub, overlook Winter Haven Harbor. The primary patio is the third patio.

The backyard includes a game shed (made from a converted garage) with arcade games, a television and a bar with refrigerator. An outdoor shed houses all of the supplies needed to enjoy a day on the water, including water toys and fishing poles.

A private dock, with glide rocker, is the perfect place to watch the sunset or catch crabs and shrimp in the right season. Our family loves to do sunrise and sunset yoga and other workouts from the dock.

Just a short 3 mile drive gets you to Bethel Beach! A scenic trip opens to a beautiful area to relax and enjoy the outdoors.

Other things to note:
The home has a Blink video doorbell. It also has 2 Blink outdoor security cameras: one facing the driveway on the side of the home and one facing the backyard above the doors of the Outdoor Shed. All cameras are disarmed during a guests stay which means it is not recording. We only arm the system when the property is not in use.
