The Bunkhouse

This tiny bunkhouse cabin is a peaceful place to land with all of the amenities you could want in SE Ohio! Located on a working 300+acre ranch, this cabin is often surrounded by cattle (fenced in, of course) and all of the sights and sounds that come with them! It is the perfect mixture of relaxation and outdoor adventure. Each stay comes with complete access to the stocked pond (catch and release, please!) and kayaks. This cabin is a short 10-minute drive to the Crown City Wildlife area.

Upon arriving at The Bunkhouse you will travel down a short gravel driveway to our farm and see the cabin on the backside of the pond. The terrain is flat and easy to navigate. There is parking directly next to the cabin as well as additional parking a short walk away near the barn.

Had a great stay at The Bunkhouse this week! Needed a place close to my property while in town bow hunting and this property was perfect. It sits in a great, quiet location, yet has all the amenities needed for an enjoyable stay. Would 100% stay again.

I knew we were going to enjoy our stay just by our communication with Kate after we booked our cabin. We are impressed with the conveniences and comfort we were provided with; fishing gear, wood for fire ring were extras that we were not expecting. The fishing was slow on the first two days due to the heat but on the third day is was fantastic. My husband caught 15 fish and I caught a big bass, which made my day ! We slept really well and are looking forward to visiting their cabin again.

Peaceful getaway from the city

The little cabin was cozy, quiet, and just what we were looking for to get way from Columbus during 4th of July weekend. Despite it's diminutive size, the cabin had everything we needed for 4 nights. The A/C worked well and kept us cool during the very hot days. The beds were comfortable, as was the couch. They also have a wonderfully soft rug spanning the floor. The pond was stocked with fish as promised and I caught a good size bass, as well as a dozen blue gill. The kayaks were in good shape and are fun to take around the pond in the cool mornings and evenings. Seeing and hearing the cattle roam by throughout the day was also enjoyable, especially the little calves. Overall, it was a great experience and we would highly recommend.

Good getaway!

We stayed at the cabin for only one night, but it was beautiful! The pond is fully stocked and we enjoyed using the paddle boat for the day! It was quiet and felt secluded but you close to a store if you needed anything. The host is very kind and quick to respond, you can tell she cares about you enjoying your stay! They provided pretty much everything from the towels, hygiene supplies, cookware, and fishing supplies! We will definitely stay here again in the future!!!

Mothman trip

My daughters and I stayed at this quaint cabin for our Mothman trip. We woke up to cows mooing and beautiful views. I sat with my coffee watching the wildlife before we hopped in the kayaks and paddled around the pond. We ended our days with a chorus of frogs. About 20 min to Gallipolis and 35 to Point Pleasant, WV. Cabin is nicely decorated and the beds are comfortable. Host is easy to talk with if anything comes up. Nothing did.

Absolutely amazing

The place is beautiful just as pictured absolutely peaceful as can be the pond was amazing the kayak in and overall just had an absolute blast 10 out of 10 will definitely be returning next year. The owner even help me with a flat tire wonderful people and a great property.

A very quaint little cabin. Very, very clean!! All the amenities you need. Easy check in and checkout. We highly recommend a stay here. We would stay there again without question. Excellent communication with host.

Absolutely amazing and relaxing

Me and my wife absolutely loved the property it’s so peaceful and calming out there especially because of the pond and the fountain. We loved sitting by it while the sunset listening to the frogs and feeling the wind blow.
