Cozy basement lodge in quiet neighborhood. Close to stadiums, lakes, etc.

Please know this is a private basement apartment with us as the owners living on the main level. 5 minutes from Blue Surf Bay, the new Blue Springs Aquatic Park. Day passes are available to non residents Tuesdays & Thursdays. This property is in a quiet neighborhood. Enjoy a peaceful getaway with your own private space w/ laundry, kitchenette, bathroom, 2 bedrooms, game room, & living room. We have 2 queens, a Divan w/ another rollout twin & a couch, making this area spacious enough for 7 people, not including the pack 'n play. Enjoy playing pool, foosball, or board games/puzzles in your down time, or relax in the comfortable living area before a good nights sleep. This quiet neighborhood is close to hospitals, restaurants, stadiums, shopping, and more. PLEASE NOTE: we have exterior security cameras. ALSO—— there is absolutely NO SMOKING of any kind, including e-cigarettes in or near this property. If you are a smoker, this property is not for you. We have a severe asthmatic family member as we live upstairs and we can’t have any smoke residue in the linen, walls, duct work, curtains, furniture, etc. If you are a smoker, we charge $500 to clean all of the area including duct work. Smokers need to smoke OFF our property and will be also liable if any hospital bills are incurred due to the residue from your clothes that can be detected. We don’t apologize for being so strict about this policy. It’s for the safety of our family member and we appreciate your respect of this matter.

Anita graciously accepted us last minute when our original rental fell through. The space was perfect for our one night stay! We even got in a game of Clue after attending the Chiefs game. It’s in a great location within close proximity to Arrowhead. I’m so happy I was able to find it in the nick of time! Definitely going to keep it in mind for future games or visits to KC!

Great Location.

Unit was clean with easy check in. Property is in safe neighborhood. Stayed for a chiefs game. Would stay again and the location was so close to everything we needed.

Weekend Stay

Really enjoy our weekend there.The kids enjoy the foosball and the boardgames and we enjoy the pool table too. This place was clean. Had everything we needed. We enjoyed the coffee that they provide the snacks and drinks. There were also clean towels and toilet paper. Will be staying there again soon.

Wonder host and accommodations

Our guest loved Anita’s home. She provided a warm and welcoming place for our speakers to stay! Anita allowed us to view the property ahead of checkin and drop off a gift basket. Our guest raved about how the basement was the perfect temperature and included everything they needed!

Great Home in a Great Location

Anita's home was beautiful and the guest suite was perfect! We had our own rooms with comfortable beds, large closets, and ample space. The game room was stocked with board and card games along with the Foosball and Pool tables. The living room was a comfortable place to relax too. The location was the perfect distance from food, shopping, the stadiums, and downtown! Fantastic!

My son, son in law, brother and I traveled to KC for 2 Royals games. The accommodations met our needs and location was in convenient proximity to Kaufman Stadium. Loved the foosball table too! Thanks.

Quiet and clean bundle of fun

Basement was very clean. Plenty of toys for all ages from toddlers to adults. So many amenities were provided. The kitchen had anything you could think of to prepare for food or cook for a family other than the actual food. Beds were clean and comfortable. My kids range from 11 years old to 2 years old and they felt at home plus meeting the 2 dogs was a plus because they were adorable and extremely friendly.

Super fun, safe, comfy stay

Anita and her basement were great. Anita is super sweet and respectful. Her apartment is so fun and creative. We had fun playing pool and foosball. I found fun books to read to the kids. She accommodated to our specific needs with our family which was great. Would definitely stay again if we needed a place in the area. Great location as well. 3 min drive to Walmart. Safe, quiet neighborhood (just like advertised). Highly recommend.

Great stay despite KC's weather

High winds and a 12 hour power outage couldn't ruin our stay at the basement lodge. Anita stayed in touch with us and provided flashlights and candles to help us ride out the storm. Then invited us to sit with her family at the Celebration at the Station Memorial Day weekend concert/fireworks that we were both going to. Definitely made for a memorable trip for the family. The kids loved the foosball and pool table and were playing right up until it was time to go. If we're in the area again, we'll definitely look to stay here again.

Family Christmas Gathering

Our family needed a central location to meet to celebrate Christmas this year. We needed space to spread out and that was toddler friendly. This place was perfect for us!! It was fun to be able to play pool and foosball. There was a huge selection of games for all ages, even a closet of toys for young children. The living room area was spacious and perfect for watching the football games. The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare our meals. Everything was organized and very clean. Definitely glad we found this place!!

We are from the area and decided to remodel our basement for hosting. So, we live upstairs and you will have a private entrance. The garage is where we park, so you'll see our cars there, but for the most part we come and go quietly.

We love living here. It is quiet, close to highways and shopping and a lovely place to live. Our city has a lot to offer including the Blue Surf Bay Aquatics Center connected to our fieldhouse. Beyond Blue Springs, there are so many things to do.

Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial

Our property is unique. While we don't have an oven or stove, we have provided everything you need for cooking. There is an instapot, a 2 burner stove with pans, a 3 bowl crockpot, and a microwave that is also an air-fyer and a convection oven. It is a fully stocked kitchen for all your needs. Plus coffee!
