Thank you, Jane! We loved hosting you for the week and my cleaner really appreciated you taking excellent care of the house. I will address the towel rack situation tomorrow when I swing by the house. Thank you for the feedback, we strive to improve this house with each guest's input to make it an even more enjoyable place to stay for future guests.

To future guests reading this...a few things to keep in mind. 1) I reached out to her a total of 7 times, called, texted her cell and through VRBO app. She did not respond to me. 2) When she did respond..she accidentally told me that she checked out of my house, rented another place and then checked out of that house as well. Ma'am...we live in the PNW...there are spiders here. Uploading several pictures of the outside of the home does not count. 3) VRBO reported she filed for a charge back from her credit card company. VRBO said they are disputing this claim. It is still ongoing but even VRBO does not agree. I tried reaching out to her AFTER VRBO decided to NOT refund for any of her stay. IF they notice a pattern of fraudulant claims the guests reports-to every house they stay at...they will immediately flag the guest. In this case, she submitted several pictures of the OUTSIDE of the house...yes..we live in the PNW...it is spider season and occasionally a fly will come inside the house. I called and texted her 3 times right after I spoke to VRBO. I messaged her through the app and no response. I texted her asking her to call me, so that I can discuss her experience and figure out what was fair. She FAILED to reach out...to any of my requests. Days go by, and I don't hear from her...I even messaged her and told her I will be out of town and my reponses will be delayed (I'm wrangling 3 kids on this trip by myself) and I gave her the dates I would be back. I...as a host that takes incredible pride in my work, my homes and my short term rentals...I was completely shocked at her unhinged behavior. Guys...even AFTER she left a ONE star review I was reaching out to her to figure out why she was so unhappy to STILL continue to figure out a fair refund since she did block 2 days of her 5 day stay. Her claims about the AC...please check all of my reviews on this platform and the competitor site (the name of that competitor will be blocked) not once have I had a complaint that the house does not stay cool-this house has been a short term rental since 2023. The claim about the AC unit venting out the window making her very uncomfortable. The window is AT LEAST 7 feet from the ground. Why didn't she mention anything about the BASEMENT door that anyone could walk into if she really was truly worried about someone walking in. WHY would anyone want to catapult themselves 7 feet in the air, when you can just walk right into an actual door. Unfortunately, I don't have the ability to show pictures however..this lady struck a nerve with these false allegations. It's pretty frustrating as a host to really put a lot of time and energy to provide our HOME to complete strangers and then false made up allegations. Consider this for a second...when was the last time you let a random stranger LIVE and rent your house? Imagine the risks involved in doing that? Imagine the work...the energy...the stress that involves. FYI: we as hosts do NOT recieve any funds regarding the reservation until the day after a guest checks in. Many hosts in my area decided to rent their homes out long term because being a landlord every 3 days didn't fit into their business plan. Guests like this make it very tempting.
